The place has a good vibe, nice and modern with that smoky smell as soon as you walk in. Service was friendly and quick enough even though it seemed busy. The food was the star. The smoked meats were tender, full of flavour, and properly cooked low and slow like they should be. Portions were generous and everything tasted fresh. We really enjoyed it – definitely one of the better places we've tried round here for BBQ. Will definitely go back. Good job to the team. From the warm welcome to our departure we were treated to an experience that we haven’t had in a long time. For what we considered to be a very reasonable charge we were delighted with the friendly, professional staff. The relaxed surroundings thoughtfully decorated to create a relaxed atmosphere and then the food! Deliciously created and beautifully presented with sides that were as good as the main dish. The combination of flavours were excellent. Desert, tiramisu and apricot jelly were a wonderful conclusion to a first class meal. The coffee locally sourced was first class. A great pint of beer and good wine (with an extensive wine list). A choice of à la carte or market menu - both had many options. My husband and I ate off the à la carte and chose lobster ravioli and chicken liver parfait to start; bone-in sirloin and rib-eye steaks for our main courses and a knickerbocker glory and the pre-dessert cheese and biscuits for desert.
