フランスのアルプスにある小さな村（クルシュヴェル）で1964年に創業したLe Yacaは、小さなレストランの経営は楽しいだろうと考えたダニエレ・ボードとジェラルドによりオープンが決定したレストランです。友人達がこの計画を知った時、友人達は未来のレストラン経営者達にディナーのためにこの8kmの曲がりくねって凍結した道路を運転してくる人がいると考えるのはおかしいと説得しました。ダニエレとジェラルドは3ヶ月間考え抜いた後、フランス語のフレーズの「il n’y a qu’a le faire」で「やってみよう」の意味の短縮形の「yaca le faire」のオープンを決定しました。彼らは冗談でレストランをLe Yacaと呼んでいましたが、このしゃれとyaca y aller（レッツゴー）から来た「yacaイズム」の創案は、レストランの伝承に貢献したゲストの間では評判の良い名前でした。渡米したダニエレはウィリアムズバーグにLe Yacaをオープンし、2001年にはダニエル・エイビッドによりle Yacaは買収されました。ダニエルはパリの「Le Pre Catelan」や「Lenotre」などの有名な場所のほか、「L’Amandier」、「Roger Verge」、そして全ての先頭に立つ「Alain Ducasse」で勤務と修行を重ねたシェフです。

    Fantastic food! Quality of freshness, temperature, the way it’s cooked and presented are all phenomenal. They were especially accommodating to my dietary needs as a Celiac- which isn’t easy. Drinks were made well and so tasty! Service was great!

    My husband and I have been dining at Le Yaca for 23 years and it always has been terrific! Last night, it achieved a 10 in both of our opinions. I ordered the Fixed Prix main course of lobster tail with a crab cake. Outstanding! The new item on the dessert menu was soufflé Grand Mariner...other worldly. My only suggestion, which I have made in the past, is that Le Yaca reinstate a minimal dress code, thereby eliminating the ripped shorts and flip flops which a young lady at the next table wore. Le Yaca is, by far, Williamsburg's very best restaurant!

    The steak was outstanding and the desserts absolutely heavenly. The “snow eggs” are light flavorful and large enough to share. The American Heritage chocolate tart is rich and decadent. If you’re a couple I recommend getting one of Each. Peanut Soupe is an 18th century favorite too
