    We came to the Royal for my partner's birthday lunch. There was a brilliant choice of interesting dishes on the menu. We had the Cumberland sausage and garlic mash and the Burnt ends Brisket and smoky butter been pie. Both were utterly delicious - classic pub meals, but with interesting twists to make them a bit special. We'll be back :)

    Last night we celebrated our wedding anniversary at The Rum Fox, and honestly, it couldn’t have been more perfect. From the moment we walked through the door, the team made us feel genuinely welcome. We were greeted at the bar, served straight away, and the service was spot‑on warm, attentive, and never rushed. The taster menu was absolutely delicious. Every course was beautifully presented, full of flavour, and paced just right so we could savour each dish. You could tell how much care goes into the food and the whole experience. It was one of those evenings where everything just comes together great atmosphere, amazing service, and food that makes you smile with every bite. A truly lovely way to mark our anniversary. Highly recommend The Rum Fox for anyone wanting something special.

    We ordered our drinks and then 3 more people came over asking if we wanted drinks whilst we were waiting for them, we ordered food then the food came and then we kept having to ask for more drinks as no one came to see if we needed any further drinks or ask how the meal was etc, there was live music on which was very loud but the food was excellent, would return.
