Fresh avocado, minced red onion, serrano chile, cilantro, citrus juice
Sizzling chicken fajitas, bell peppers, onions, tortillas
Flour tortillas, breast of chicken, cabbage, pico de gallo, guacamole, sour cream
The sangria was amazing. Sitting on the patio was so lovely and the service was great - attentive but let us eat at a relaxing pace without feeling rushed.
The food was yummy, a bit overpriced but hey, it’s the ambiance of the Mission Inn. Although it was a warm day (94 degrees), the trees and umbrellas kept us very comfortable. Over all, it was a very enjoyable time with friends.
Overall food was great so as atmosphere.
Las Campanas at the Mission Inn is a stellar place to dine! The ambiance alone is what keeps me going back. The food and the service is wonderful! Don’t miss it!
Outstanding as always. The chicken enchiladas as the best. Looking forward to the next visit.
We love the Mission Inn and the garden location for LAS CAMPANAS IS PERFECT!
I did not realize we would have to order the brunch because of the time. I do not like eggs.
I try to always look for the best in things so I’ll start with the sangria being pretty good and the churro French toast was so yummy! But the food was not Las Campanas quality in my opinion. The ceviche did not look or taste freshly prepared. The “filet mignon” was skirt steak at best and could have been cooked the night before and reheated for all I know. The green enchiladas were good but the red sauce was incredibly spicy and I like spicy. Service was as usual there, slow and sometimes you think they forgot about you, but we weren’t in a hurry. I don’t think I’d come back for brunch but will always love their margaritas and dinner.
Spent the weekend at the Mission Inn Hotel & Spa to celebrate our wedding anniversary and we started with lunch at Las Campanas. The patio is gorgeous and all the tables were spread out even further than 6’ away from each other, maybe more like 12’. This was our first time dining out in over 7 months (since back in March, when covid changed our lives) and we felt very safe and comfortable knowing that the restaurant and hotel in general were taking safety precautions so seriously. The food was average, but not necessarily in a bad way. The chicken tortilla soup had good flavor but there was so little chicken in it, which is appalling given it was $12. Also, the tiny chicken chunks looked/tasted like it had been cooked on the grill separately instead of boiled in the soup. It had brown sear marks and was not particularly tender. Fish tacos were acceptable, just missing lime wedges. However, the star of the meal was the Mission Inn Margarita- it was delicious!
Service was a bit spotty. We were done eating and waited about 15 minutes for our server to check in on us so we could ask for the bill. She never came so we flagged down a different server to ask about her whereabouts, which I hate and only do as a last resort. Come to find out, our server felt dizzy and needed to take a break and this one was covering for her. We had been sitting there, with our plates pushed away, looking around (which I feel is the universal sign for “where’s our server”) and this new server had walked by several times without stopping to ask if we needed anything. That was annoying it, but we didn’t let it get to us because we were celebrating.
Our overall experience at this hotel has been wonderful. We plan on coming back for future celebrations and that includes Las Campanas. However, it would only be for drinks and guacamole to tied us over for a better meal at Duane’s, the hotel’s upscale steak and seafood restaurant.
Love the food here and the service surpasses your expectations. May I suggest their chicken fajitas - just plain delicious! And a sweet dessert - try the bread pudding - absolutely amazing!!! The only issue was the mosquitoes this time of the year as the sun goes down. We will go back but when it cools down and the are gone!! LOL
We are very disappointed with the change in menu- not offering common items like tacos seems silly and raising the prices a ton also seems strange since this location has been able to remain open since it is outdoor seating.
I am so dissapointed in our experience here today. It was my mom's 60th Birthday and we had a small family table of five. The restaurant was not busy, it took forever to get our food and then my sister's food looked disgusting as if it had been made hours ago. Now all the other times we have been here we've had a really nice time. To be honest my mom would have had a better dinner at Coco's. The waitress was terrible and the manager was unapologetic. Get this, their main entrees for Sunday brunch do not come with rice and beans. Our chicken enchiladas were a la cart, for $40 dollars a person you can include a scoop of rice and beans. Oh and the waitress wouldn't bring us a drink menu because it was attached to the dinner menu and they were still serving brunch. But thank goodness she didn't bring it and we didn't order drinks or we would have had a terrible $300.00 meal. Furthermore they ran out of several desserts, it took us over an hour to get our food and we'd been sitting there two hours so we declined dessert. We were ready to leave and move on from this miserable dinner.
Service was bad. Didn’t get all food. Had to remind staff for food and drinks. The food except for the crab cakes was terrible. Overpriced and poor quality.
Early birthday celebration but they didn’t acknowledge it, maybe because it was a pre-fix menu.
We were frequent customers to all restaurants at the Mission Inn prior to COVID. During our dinner I had to cover my food and drink with a napkin due to the abnormal amount of flies. Our waiter was over worked however was helped out tremendously by his assistant. And we waited two weeks for a reservation. Will not be going back any time soon
Lovely lunch after checking out and before leaving town. Dago and Sheila took great care of us. Dago was especially attentive, refilling our water consistently. Had no idea the margaritas were so big! The fish tacos were great as was the calamari and guacamole.
Service was wonderful in spite of the Covid pandemic restrictions.
The best thing about dinner was the margarita. Flies everywhere and no solutions provided by the staff. Food was mediocre. Not a good value for the price. Service was slow. This was the first time eating here. Overrated.
Very good food! Our steak wasn’t cooked all the way for our liking so we sent it back and the chef person so ally came out to apologize. Very good service. 10/10
The food and drinks were great.
Always love coming to Las Campanas, for quiet dinners with my spouse and family events. Service is always great!
The menu choses are very small. Not a good variety, very limited for a Mexican restaurant. Very bland at best. The fish tacos had no flavor whatsoever, and the rice tasted bland. Very disappointed of the menu selections. On a good note, the chicken tortilla soup was good. Our friends were disappointed in the quesadilla. Way too much "spring lettuce" for lack of a better term. Our friend removed this "lettuce" but did not finish it as the taste was bland. Again disappointed.
Service was it up to par. Server took to long to get us what we asked for.
Great service but sitting outside leaves us susceptible to bees & mosquitos & all 3 of our party got bit!! Food was great, Sangrias were a little weak, they’ve been better, but service was excellent!!
We enjoyed having dinner here. The service was wonderful. Anything we needed or wanted was of no issue. Friendly and curious service. Loved our waiter Luis. And the food, oh my, delicious and so worth the money. Large portions and the taste was amazing! The guacamole was the best I have ever had. The chips were warm and fresh and the salsa was an added surprise of great taste. I was there many years ago and I plan to make this my place to go! Where can you go and have great service, delicious food and a beautiful place to enjoy all of that - well, this is it all rolled into one!! Enjoy!!
Very limited menu was kinda disappointed as I waited a week for a reservation. Food tasted great and service was good. Looking forward to the normal menu.
I know restaurants are struggling during the pandemic and it’s hard on business and staff. Unfortunately this cost wasn’t our favorite from the restaurant, the waiter was a little impatient, the food wasn’t as good as previous times we’ve been and the menu had changed. Not sure if I’ll be back soon.
Beautiful place out on the patio. Fajitas, chips and salsa and the house salad were all very good. Service was ok. Not much personality from our server but he may have just been having an off day. I will return.
Las Campanas was really nice. Nice atmosphere and it was quiet. The food was okay. My Carne Asada was very small for the price and had fat on it. I would try it again but not order that.
I liked my fajitas but husband did not like his enchiladas, maybe have burritos or tacos on menu would be nice
The server mixed up our meals and then blamed us for it.
One of our favorite places to dine. Great service great atmosphere!
Bring your bug spray... my family and myself have no less then 50 combined mosquito bites from the hour and half we were at the restaurant... the food was delicious, highly recommend their monthly margarita flavor watermelon but the service sucked beers were served warm and when we asked for a ice bucket to cool them it took way to long. For the amount of money spent I am not sure it was worth it all especially cause we all itch soooo bad from the bites!
Simply the best like always. Staff welcomes you like you are family.
The mosquito bites was the only issue
Very nice place to dine. Service was great on time and very respectful. I would like to go back soon thank you.
Lovely dinner and felt safe!
Food was good, but I had too many flies flying on my food. It was hard to enjoy my dinner! You all need to add fans to help keep them away!!
The staff brought me some a cup of apple cider vinegar and put it on my table. That helped a little but not too much. I know it was hot and everything, but I think fans blowing in the direction of the tables might have kept them away.
Great experience. Terrific waiter. Beautiful atmosphere.
