Lawry's The Prime Rib - Las Vegas

Brought a friend with me to have some cocktails last minute at the bar before having a night out. My bartender, Mr Colby, made a decent wine recommendation that might be my new favorite after this.

We celebrated my husband's birthday here and it was amazing. The staff is very attentive, feiendly and knowledgeable. We definitely will be back again! Mike and Giovanni's service was beyond exceptional!!!

Aside from the accidental fire alarm going off, the dinner went off without a hitch. Surprisingly, Mr Colby ended up serving me again at my table. If you need a guy that knows his wine and want a good recommendation as a newbie, look no further.

His knowledge on what to serve for the right occasion serves him well. He manages to keep his cool and calm demeanor in check when things unexpectedly happen, like a fire alarm going off during a rush of diners that were all seated at the same time, is greatly appreciated. He makes sure you are well taken care of when he cannot get to you when he is supposed to.

I will be asking for his table whenever I dine in there as I only want the best for what I pay for and he certainly earned every bit of the gratuity he makes from diners.

Great job to the restaurant overall for reminding us why some traditions are worth keeping.

Birthday Dinner

Lawry’s provides a great experience. The atmosphere, ambiance and attentiveness is to be noticed. The decor is like stepping back in time when dining was a celebration. Of course they excel at prime rib, but this location also understands presentation and performance. A stop here only adds to the Las Vegas experience.

Great food and amazing service. Quiet place to have a really nice meal.

The staff and food were incredible as always. We were a little frustrated that for such an elegant restaurant that cares so much about the “experience”, we were taken out of it by the other guests. So many people showed up in overly casual attire (jean shorts, jerseys, baseball hats, ripped clothing, etc.), and were rather rude to the staff. It’s so disheartening to see so many patrons care so little about the way they behave. I would love to see a dress code or something enforced as to not ruin the experience for people who genuinely want to enjoy the ambiance of the famous Lawry’s style.

I wonder if the potatoes are instant?

Waiter was very knowledgeable and informative about the menu. Definitely would recommend and will go back every time I go to Vegas now!!!

Great food and great service

Been here before last year for NYE, went to celebrate my birthday with my family. Took my parents here and the food was amazing, the ambiance always on point but the service lacked this time. It took over an hour to get our food, drinks took long. Our server never checked up on us until we were have way through. He was hard to locate on the restaurant floor too, but he did apologize for the slow service and gave us a free dessert. It’s not like it was overly busy and I would go back but the service needs to speed up.

Another amazingly consistent experience with great prime rib.

Food was great. The surf and turf special definitely gets you their best meal at the right price.

Skip dining at the bar though especially when there is only one bartender serving the entire front of the bar. While I was the only guest dining there at first, when a second party with 4 guests opted to dine at that area as well, my dining experience suffered as they got their orders taken first, most of their meals delivered first and they paid and left first.

The bartender, Mr Colby was knowledgeable with wines, but visibly looked flustered and tense as the night went on. He could’ve used more help had he known to ask.

I will be happy to return again as his service does not reflect the establishment overall.

Again, an unbelievable experience. Good over the top awesome. And love that creamed corn.

Sadly, my wife and I experienced our first really poor meal at our favorite restaurant. Our server Amy and our carver Manny, were awesome as always! Unfortunately, our food seemed to be less than fresh.
I had to ask Manny to replace my wife's cut of beef. He did so but it wasn't much better.
I didn't want to be caustic to him so we tolerated it.
I totally understand that this pandemic has truly punched restaurants squarely in their pocketbook but serving leftover food to stretch your bottom line is unacceptable when you charge the prices that you do! What's worse, everything on the menu has been raised cost-wise and going for lunch is no longer worth it. ALL the prices were raised.
I love Lawry's and my wife loves it more but I do not believe we will be back for a while.

Celebrating a special birthday, we picked out this restaurant since the birthday celebrate loves prime rib. This is our first time dining here and we are glad that we booked the reservation at lawry’s. Everyone was warm and polite. The server we had tonight was great. She explained everything at the menu, cuts of the prime rib, the sides and the condiments. She’s very knowledgeable and even gave us recommendations. We will definitely come back. Highly recommended.

The food was great but our waitress was not.

My fiancée had told the manager that it was my birthday and the waitress came up to us and literally told me that we are bringing your birthday cake dessert out and was wondering if we wanted to order anything else.

Wtf?!?

I hadn't eaten in a Lawry's in over 38 years and it was still a great meal. Service was outstanding and the food was delicious.

It was my first time there and the service was EXCELLENT. Our entire experience was too notch. From our entrance to the exit. Superb service. Thank you for making my birthday dinner special.

The service and food is always a special treat at Lawrys Prime Rib. The noise level is very low and allow for pleasant conversation while enjoying the delicious food.

This restaurant is fabulous and such a nice change of pace from noisy steakhouse restaurants. I was very amused by our waiter’s response when I asked for a knife to cut my meat. He looked like I had asked him to kill someone. He told me our steaks don’t need steak knives and goodness, he was right.

Pandemic dining out can be an unknown adventure for some restaurants but Lawry’s has it covered. With reservations we arrived a few minutes early and were seated a few minutes later. The eating area is carefully separated with plastic partitions so you still have the illusion of fine dining without risk of possible covid exposure.

The service staff are efficient, professional and very aware-without hovering. Our booth was comfortable and private.

I saved the best for last: the food. The salad was cold and crispy and the prime rib was tender,tasty and juicy. Lawry’s has this locked: They should with all the years they’ve been doing it, but still, it’s a welcome surprise when you know it will be consistently perfect and it always is.

Food was ok, over priced...only 2 carvers made for a long wait for food.

My prime rib dinner at Lawry's was memorable for many reasons. The prime rib certainly lived up to its reputation as tender and tasty, especially with the addition of the house seasoning salt. Another aspect of the food that is over the top incredible is the many accoutrements that accompany the dinner. From the spinning salad seasoning to the creamed spinach, everything works towards the same delicious end. The staff and their laid back friendliness made my visit even more enjoyable. Kudos all around. A special place, even in these difficult times.

We were able to celebrate two birthdays and enjoy a lovely evening at this location. The atmosphere and ambiance was great. We had great food and great conversation, even with our waiter Colby, who was awesome as well!!! It was a great experience and I cannot wait to return in the future.

Been eating here for 20 years. The piece of meat on two of our dinners (California Cut) was so thin two of our party went home hungry. If that is the way we will be served in the future we I’ll just save the money and go to Primarily Prime at South Point. 3 times the serving for 40% of the price. Very disappointed!!! Prime member
