Les Nomades

This is our favorite restaurant in all Chicago. Elegant, without stuffiness, beautiful food, seamless service, and a serene environment. Worth every penny.

The service was outstanding, the servers were very attentive without seeming "in your face." I really enjoyed the pace at which the courses were brought out, and the food was so good, and there needs to be a better word than good. It was beyond good. Delicious. Everything carefully prepared and plated. We enjoyed the tastings sent to the table by the chef. We enjoyed our wine selection. Overall this was a wonderful experience, although bittersweet as it was the last night of service due to another Covid shut down beginning the next day.

Perfect in every way

Not much to say really, average food priced way too high for what it was, food wasn’t hot enough in almost every course, head waiter was loud and not professional.

Good wine list and staff makes great wine recommendations. Friendly, relaxed. Great for those who love French food and those who are new to it. Tables well distanced for covid times. The kitchen will surprise you with small offerings between courses, gratis.

We had a wonderful experience. The food was magnificent and we loved it. Only minor item I would suggest is for the wine pairings we would have enjoyed a better desc of each wine that was paired with the tasting menu items.

We celebrated my wife's birthday at Les Nomades this past week and had a wonderful experience. The atmosphere was hushed and elegant, the service was impeccable, and every course in the 5 course dinner we enjoyed was perfectly prepared. We both agreed that it was one of the finest dinner experiences we have had while living in Chicago, where we have been enjoying fine dining for nearly 50 year.

We can’t say enough about the elegance of this restaurant. Beautiful flower arrangements, Art Deco chandeliers, and attentive quiet service. Each course of our meal was so flavorful and beautifully presented. Every ingredient complemented the dish. Wine list is impressive.

Les Nomades is one of only a few remaining Chicago restaurants that serve true contemporary French cuisine. The food and the atmosphere are both superb and the service is impeccable. Mary Beth Liccioni and Roland Liccioni have been fixtures on the Chicago fine dining scene for many years and hopefully will continue to be for many more years to come.

From the moment you walk into the restaurant they make you feel like you and your guest are the most important people in the restaurant.

This is an elegant and superb French restaurant of which there are very few in Chicago. The price reflects this but everything is well worth it. An intimate setting helps make it a very special event destination. While we celebrate special occasions, this time we simply celebrated "it's Friday".

Les Nomades is fine dining at it's best. Period! It's a culinary journey for the most discriminating palate.

The welcoming and knowledgeable staff greet you and make you feel like part of the family through the entire experience . The presentations are as described and exceed expectations while the suggested wines paired beautifully with the meal. The soufflés are always a wonderful way to end the evening. I will definitely return!

As always, the ambiance, service and food were perfect. A quiet, pleasant evening and I look forward to returning.

Is Les Nomades the finest restaurant in the US not to have a Michelin star ? This is the question I was asking myself when dining there last Saturday evening. Everything was flawless - from the friendly greeting, to the expert advice on menu and wine list, to the dinner service itself - tables spaced sufficiently apart, ambience of the room, food quality & presentation, and so on. One touch which I have never seen before anywhere - we ordered a half bottle of white and a half bottle of red. The red came in a mini decanter designed for a half bottle, and the white had its own mini ice bucket - such a thoughtful touch.
This is a jewel of a place and we will return soon. Bravo to the owners and staff for such a magnificent performance.

Les Nomades is definitely a special occasion restaurant, and we went for my birthday. The service is always excellent, as is the food. I had their meat special, venison, and it was fabulous. Really my only criticism is that the tables are quite close together and even though people don't talk loudly, it's fairly easy to hear other conversations. Otherwise it's great for a lovely evening out.

Of the 150 restaurants in Chicago I have visited over the years, Les Nomades is probably my favorite. The cuisine, wines, ambiance, clientele and service are all excellent. Reminds one of French dining, the old fashioned way. I will be back.

It’s always a treat to dine here. The food presentation is lovely and just adds to the dining experience. We drive approximately 1.75 hours but it’s a special occasion to celebrate my husband’s birthday and worth the time! Will definitely be back for another memorable evening as soon as possible!

Birthday dinner

Our favorite French restaurant in Chicago. A quiet atmosphere, impeccable service and classic French food. The 4 course prix fixe menu is a great bargain. We were there for my 66th birthday. The service was well paced. We could see the fireplace from our table. Started with oysters. Outstanding. The venison special was absolutely perfect. Flourless chocolate cake was fantastic. Coffee souffle' was very good. We try to dine at Les Nomades every time we are in Chicago.
