LG's Prime Steakhouse - Palm Springs
Once again we nailed LG’s. My wife and I live getting one of the 3 tables for two in the bar. A full service dinner in a lively atmosphere. Thanks again Mario and the rest of the staff!
3 of us went for dinner. Great service. Actually outstanding. Excellent food and steaks. Prices reasonable for a prime steakhouse. They have a nice out door patio: lites were too bright for nite dining. Otherwise a great experience. Would recommend and would go again.
Everything went very well. We were very pleased, as always. Thank You.
I came for the excellent food for a special occasion and was not disappointed
Angel, our server was very pleasant, attentive yet not overbearing, he like the rest of the staff seemed to be there whenever and as soon as needed and then disappear when not. It all made my boyfriend's birthday dinner a special event
LG’s isn’t what it used to be
Best steak I've eaten in at least two years.
Steak is always perfectly cooked....sides are amazing!
Although the service was outstanding, and the cut of meat was good, the food was something anyone who knows their way around a kitchen could prepare. The petite tenderloins were good, butter fried, I think, but half way through the $45 chunk of meat, it began to loose its appeal. A sauce or crust of Blue Cheese would have helped, in retrospect. The garlic mashed weren't as good as mine, so again, typical fare. The food (everything came in its own individual plate and all things priced separately) was simply and even sloppily plated. It is a meal I could have just as well prepared at home for 1/4 the price. Plan on a minimum of $100 a head (we each had a petite tenderloin, french onion soup, one cocktail and shared one veg/potato side dish).
We had a perfect evening. I had the sea bass, it was the best I have ever had. My husband had the prime rib and it was also extremely well prepared. I did comment that I was grateful to have the means to eat in such a beautiful place and have such great food.
Love the steak
Great food and ambiance.....outside patio is very relaxing
Great food. Maybe a little too quiet. Would love music. I wish I would have ate outside. Edgar was our waiter, very good and very polite. I would recommend this to my family and friends.
We love LG’s Steakhouse! We eat here about 4 to 5 times a year. The steak is incredible, the long- term staff is great & the table side Caesar salad is a must! The south patio is the place to sit if you like outdoor dining. But inside is great also. One of our favorite places in the PS area.
Good food and steak temps spot on, just not the higher end experience we were expecting.
The sever was wonderful and took very good care of us!
They were very attentive . They had very good suggestions. And the food was to die for. We had a great time!
LG's has become our wedding anniversary dinner place. We go to Palm Springs for 4 or 5 days, and dine at LG's on our anniversary. We love our waiter, Taylor. He is gracious, appropriately attentive, knowledgable and personable. The food is always fabulous. We always feel so welcomed and never rushed.
Entree was overcooked. I sent it back and was so annoyed I didn’t want a replacement. I just wanted the experience to be over. Salad was okay. Overpriced. Wish I could get my money back.
Service was great, our server was helpful, very attentive & friendly. The food was mediocre at best for the price. Steak was tough and the sea bass was quite fishy.
We sat towards the back and it was very bright in the restaurant. It was a huge contrast since it was dark outside. I would have liked the lights to be less bright to create more intimacy. I felt we were in a cafeteria with exceptional service and food.
It was fabulous! Enjoyed every minute at our dining table on the patio! Food and service were outstanding!!
We go to LG's every year we visit Palm Springs, and from the 4th year in a row, we were not disappointed. This is Chicago or Ney York caliber level food. Outstanding from the appetizer rhru salads, dinner, sides and desserts. Highly recommended.
My favorite place to get a steak in Palm Springs. Good service and great food.
Best NY steak and Pork chop. Meatball soup was delicious with a nice kick of cayenne pepper. French Onion is always consistently delicious
Service was excellent. My only tip is to have real crab meat for the Oscar Bernaise sauce addition. Crab cakes are to heavy with the bernaise in my filet and they were a little fishy. Also make a few more tablespoons of bernaise. Ran out too fast. But enjoyed the meal overall!!
Thank you for your review. LG's uses only real crab meat. Never imitation. Will mention to Chef regarding the fishy taste in the crab cakes. Again, thank you and hope to see you again soon.
We celebrated my wife’s Birthday this Past Saturday night at LG’s and had a wonderful experience and meal. We both ordered the Filet Mignon, sides of sautéed mushrooms and French Fries. The service was outstanding as well.
Thank you for the wonderful review.
It's a prime steak house, but at the time we went they only serve prime steak on fridays and Saturdays. They claim in a week or two from when we dined prime steaks will be available everyday. The ceaser salad only comes in a large portion for 2, but all other salads are served single portion. We asked to split our rib eye in the kitchen, they said they are not able to for sanitation reasons....every other steak house I've been to throughout california doesn't have this restriction. Lots of confusion for me and my guest during our meal, but at least everyone was welcoming in the restaurant
Thank you for taking to time to reach out to us. A few things: We serve Prime Steaks every night of the week. The only item we serve on Friday and Saturdays at this time is our Prime Rib. The Caesar salad can always be made for 1 guest if you mention to your server. The issue of the Rib Eye, we do not split steaks in the kitchen as they are continuing to cook when brought to the table on a 500 degree plate. Server should have split for you table side. Will be addressed with management.
Perfect steak dinner! Salad, potato, bread, and bread pudding all exactly what you crave when you need a traditional dinner with quality ingredients. Staff was friendly and professional and service was excellent.
Thank you for such a nice review and the 5 stars. Looking forward to your next visit!
Service was excellent. Food was good, I would have enjoyed more flavor but overall good. Cocktails were great!
Excellent steak and lobster. We will return this week.
the servers were very attentive and timely mannered. they weren’t overwhelming, they weren’t coming to our table every five minutes asking if everything is ok like some other restaurants do, which gets annoying but they did a good job. first timer & I can definitely say I’ll be coming back again in the near future. :) also the autumn cran-orange marg-tini .. *two thumbs up*
I've dined at LG's La Quinta quite a few times, all with great experiences. This was our first time at the Palm Springs location, I had an expectation based on the La Quinta location and sadly the Palm Springs location fell short. The table side Caesar Salad was just okay, the Brussels Sprouts were cold, and my Prime Rib was lukewarm. My guest enjoyed their steak, as he requested a bleu cheese crust and came out searing hot.
Also, our food was delayed, as the kitchen was backed up due to a large party ... Which may explain why the food wasn't served at the proper temperature. I will return to LG's La Quinta, not the Palm Springs location.
Steak was dry and over cook
Matt was our server he did a great job the food was excellent we would defiantly go back
I’m so glad I took my boyfriend here for his birthday (they gave him a piece of cake that was amazing). I would highly recommend the dry aged steak. So good!!! The service was great from start to finish. My waiter was kind and the service was very efficient. Will definitely be coming back.
Just a special night out with my wife@ our favorite place
Service was attentive but food wait time after order was long and they were not busy.
