Excellent food and service at a reasonable price

Very nice menu with good choices. Great prices. We had calamari with ginger appetizer - it was delicious and all our meals were great and they included a very nice house salad. Many choices for dessert. The lemon cake was delicious. Nice place to go and have a good meal. Service was very good too.

Food and service are always very good. We ate outside!

As always, food here was great. We had the ginger calamari, the pork osso bucco, pork chop special and chicken milanese. Service was fantastic, we were treated like family, as we are every time we dine here. Just a special place.

We had chicken parm, pasta arrabiata, salad and pasta fagioli...all were superb....but the Napoleon for dessert is literally the best ever....

Had the early bird 18.95 includes appy meal and desert Before 5:50 PM was fabulous Had the beet salad and Tilapia was so good.

We went on Valentine’s Day for dinner. Table was ready when we arrived. Restaurant was very busy. Service was great, food and service were outstanding as usual.

Always a delicious meal! Very attentive to your dining experience! Would recommend the early bird special, quite the bargain!

The food was very good and the service very efficient. My only complaint is that the room is packed far too tightly. You actually could not move your chair back 2 inches without rubbing elbows with other guests. More importantly you had to snake your way between chairs to get either to the bathroom or to eventually leave. Not at all comfortable and that was unfortunate.

On a Friday or Saturday night, seems like when you have a reservation you still have to wait 30 mins to sit down. This was a little frustrating, however, once we sat (table by the window was phenomenal) the food was exquisite! Very delicious and the staff was very nice. We will be back, and the homemade limoncello was delicious.

Fantastic food!

The restaurant was full but we were seated with our reservation with only a 5 min wait. The food was delicious and the timing between courses was perfect. This is a great restaurant with a wide variety of specials and all reasonably priced. Another bonus is it's a BYOB restaurant too! Desserts were delicious!

We really enjoy this family run restaurant. The food is very good and the prices are reasonable. It is a BYOB place which is a real savings when you want to enjoy a bottle of wine with friends. The staff is very friendly. Recently, we had a reservation but had to wait a few minutes. While we were waiting, the owner came over with a tray and offered us some garlic bread while they prepared our table. It may seem like a very small touch but it was their way of saying we know you are waiting and yet we care about our customers. I have not had that experience at many other restaurants. I also highly recommend the desserts which are really very good. W e have been to Limoncello many times and have always had a good meal.

First time at this restaurant. Was not happy that I did not receive points for dinning there. Food and service was very good but the main course came out before we finished our appetizers. Other than that it was a good experience.

Limoncello is an absolute gem of a restaurant! We came from Westchester county NY for the second time to eat here. From the minute you arrive you are treated so special. The host is gracious and friendly. The service gets better from there from the opening of your own wine (it’s BYOB) and the explanation of the specials. The prices are so reasonable and the quality is superb. I had the grouper with cranberry glaze and poached pear over perfectly cooked escarole. The presentation was beautiful including the elegant dishes. My husband had the pasta Arrabiatte and he said he felt like we were back in Italy. I could go on and on but I’ll end by saying Limoncello is a top restaurant and I can highly recommend it to everyone. I just wish it were closer but I won’t let it stop us...well worth the trip!!

Service was very good. Food was very good as well, and there were many specials to choose from. My daughter cannot have gluten, and Jimmy was very knowledgeable about the menu items that she could have as well as being most accommodating when making her dinner and dessert. BYOB. We will be back.

We ate at the restaurant last week also on Christmas eve it was so good we came back for New Year's Eve. The standout apps were the mussels and fried calamari. Main dishes were the salmon and veal dish with mozzarella and prosciutto.

STILL ONE OF THE BEST RESTAURANTS IN THE RIDGEWOOD AREA. FOOD THE BEST WHAT EVER ONE CHOOSES - SERVICE ALWAYS SPECIAL. WE HAVE ENJOYED THIS WARM AND INVITING SPOT FREQUENTLY FOR MANY YEARS.

We had a table for a party of 5 for Christmas Eve dinner. The restaurant was very crowded as would be expected. We checked in at around 10 minutes before our 7 o'clock reservation time .I mentioned to the manager that not my entire party wasn't there yet. He said not a problem and had me and my wife seated within a few minutes. He sent a waiter over to our table right away, who offered to open one of our bottles of wine while we waited for rest of our party to arrive. Service in general was as best that could be expected for a holiday night. Also one of the things we liked the most that they didn't have a limited holiday menu like most restaurants in our area have on days of special occasions. They actually had there regular menu available plus a list on specials for the day, many good choices. Items that we had that where very good that come to mind. The fried calamari, burrata, and eggplant rollatini appetizers. Main course items vodka pasta, a veal with mozzarella cheese and prosciutto dish ,and zuppa di pesce. Only one dessert was ordered ,the chocolate lava cake which was very good. With our dessert and coffee we were offered complimentary shot of sambuca, very nice touch. We are planning on going back New Years Eve.

Big room full of people talking so quite noisy. Restaurant was very busy, full, when we were there but service was still good. Food is very good.

Went to celebrate our anniversary. The place was packed and had people waiting, including walk-ins. We were seated within five minutes of our Open Table reservation time.
Food was very good. The time between ordering and our appetizer arriving was a little lengthy. However, the salad after the appetizer came immediately after our appetizer dish was finished, as were the entrees after the salad.
Lobster stuffed ravioli was excellent. Veal with roasted peppers and melted mozzarella was very good.
The noise level was a little louder than normal. However, overall it was a very good experience. We will be back!

Pleasantly surprised. We were visiting and looking for good italian food. Menu looked good so made reservations for 6. When we arrived, they were slammed. Folks that did not make a reservation waited. We were promptly seated. The food was amazing. The service very tentative and accommodating. Small place with BIG food. Loved it. Will be back. Thank you for a great experience

food was excellent, 2 minor critiques - lighting was too bright and one of us felt there should have been more time between servings
