One of my favorite restaurants in Asheville. The food is consistently fresh and delicious, not to mention all the delicious varieties of margaritas.
Just friends hanging out!!
Food was excellent as always.
It has been several years and it won’t be that long again. Great night out.
Fantastic and unique food delivered by knowledgeable staff. Truly impressive dining experience.
There was a pasta dish tonight that was OUT OF THIS WORLD delicious. Well done!
Love this place. Service and food always consistent!
Great food. Get a reservation. A little pricy and portions at that price should be bigger. I recommend going and would certainly return!
A wonderful evening with friends. The food was amazing and the service was excellent. We’ll be coming for another meal soon.
We’ve come to town about once a year and always make a point of eating here. Have never been disappointed. There’s been a consistent high quality across the board. Just sit further back into the restaurant. Even with the two doors, a cold breeze alway comes thru on chilly evenings in when people come and go.
The ceviche is always outstanding. The bread pudding and tres leche is superb as well. The scallops shine in any preparation we’ve had.
Very enjoyable. Table was ready in a timely manner. Server was very nice and knowledgeable about wines. Food was incredible.
Limones is always consistently high quality, great presentation and great food. We took some real foodie friends for their first time and they were in love with it when we left.
I thought that for the portion of food you receive the pricing was over stated.
It was delicious. Recommend!
Excellent food with authentic flavors. Unique menu and great choices. Cerviche was outstanding.
Limones is one of our favorite Asheville restaurants and our dinner on 3/7/2020 lived up to our expectations. We decided to forgo the 3 ceviche options on the menu (that happily changes quite frequently) and each of use selected a new starter. It was hard to resist the lobster nachos so I didn’t. It was liberally filled with tender succulent pieces of lobster and the serving size was ample for 2 people. It would have been helpful if our server had mentioned that. My husband chose 3 cheese chili rellenos with a black bean purée which he enjoyed as did I (he was kindly gave me a taste). The scallops were calling my name and I happily did not attempt to order anything else. They were perfectly prepared and melted in my mouth. I will happily order them again. My husband selected the enchilada suizas were had a variety of vegetables and cheese with a pickled onions and cactus. He liked it but would not necessarily order it again. He did say he would order 2 of the chili rellenos as a main course.
Food is always excellent, and we usually order a bunch of the appetizers as our meal as their Ceviche sampler and Lobster Nachos are big portions.
They make my favorite drink in Asheville - the Carrot Habanero Margarita, extra spicy.
Limones has been one of our favorite places to eat in Asheville. The atmosphere of the restaurant is conducive to fine dining. The service is superb. But, on this visit, we were a bit disappointed in our meals. Of our two appetizers and entrees, one was outstanding. The others were fine, but not up to the standard we have come to expect at Limones. It is hard to be too critical, because they were good, just not great. Perhaps we have come to expect too much.
Thank you for your feedback. We certainly appreciate any constructive criticism in order to make yours and all of our guests dining experience outstanding. We strive to maintain very high standards in every area, especially in regards to our menu and its execution. Our menu changes frequently so hopefully we will have another opportunity to deliver exceptional appetizers and entrees. Take care, Limones
I think I might be spoiled. I had such an exceptional experience my first time two years ago that I was expecting the same thing. The snapper ceviche was off. The scallops we ordered were flubbery in the middle. There was really no sear. Highly disappointed in them.
One of the great restaurants in Asheville, an old favorite. Our FIRST big disappointment though: the Lobster Nacho's used to be TERRIFIC, unfortunately were far from it this time, all soggy and the lobster not very fresh-tasting -- I really think they made this up the day before and it was a left-over! Whew! Well with that said, hopefully that's a one-time thing; never been disappointed before!
Thank you for letting us know about your recent experience. We are so sorry the nachos weren’t well received. I spoke with your server & he was unaware there was an issue, We would have absolutely replaced them or taken them off your bill. We prepare them when ordered & definitely not in advance. I made the kitchen aware of the sogginess issue so they can rectify the problem. We’re glad to hear this was a first time disappointed & hope it never happens again. Hope to see you soon!
One of the hidden gems in Asheville. Always wonderfully creative Mexican/Latin fare.... and fabulous margaritas. Highly recommended!
Exceptionally good Latin restaurant; beautiful space, excellent service, although our server seemed as if she might have been just a bit overworked.
Excellent service and food; such a cool place. Excited to go back.
This was one of the top 5 meals we have ever had! And that's saying a lot for this foodie couple! The restaurant was recommended on an email about great places to eat in North Carolina and were they ever right. We had a hard time choosing but loved the Lobster nachos appetizer and the beef tenderloin with lobster mac and cheese and grilled asparagus. There was so much lobster in both dishes. And the coconut margarita was amazing. Great service from Brad and we loved the hostess. We will definitely be back!
We have eaten here since they opened but I must say that it's become ridiculously over priced. I had the seafood chowder (basically a bowl of soup with some shrimp, crab, sliced scallops and flounder) and, although very tasty, was wayyyyy overpriced at $34 (or was it $36). The ceviche was delicious but a very small portion also. I have noticed this trend but at this point will probably limit the number of visits we make.
It was my wife’s birthday and not our first time dining there. Exquisite as always
Had a reservation but sat at the bar and what a great choice. We received wonderful care there and you could tell this was a nightly thing as many regulars sat at the bar or stopped by to say hi. The bartender accommodated for my "dry February" and made some perfect cocktails without alcohol.
Food was on point and came out promptly. The atmosphere was very pleasant and comfortable with how they had set the volume of music and levels on the lighting.
Just a lovely night.
We live in Asheville and Linomes is one of our favorites, and has been for years.
Outstanding food. Interesting and tasty!!!
Our food was amazing and came out very quick. We were suprised because they were very busy. Excellent menu, lots of choices and our server made great recommendations. Awesome service!
Excellent in every way!!
The food was out of bounds. The service was top notch. The service and atmosphere was great, as well. Over all a great experience. We’ll be back.
Great service, food menu was excellent and very good tequila choices. Highly recommend
Brittany is a fantastic server - one of many there!
We have been eating here for years. And we won't be back. We learned a few hours before our reservation that the sous chef has departed for greener pastures. The only thing good I can say is our server really tried to make a bad situation better. Asheville dining scene is great but what was once wonderful isn't any longer.
Thank you so much for your feedback. We are very happy to report our sous chef is still with us and has been since we opened in 2004. Regardless of how your server tried to compensate for your displeasure it is unfortunate that you didn’t enjoy your experience. If the current menu was not to your liking it does change frequently so we hope you will give us another opportunity to serve you in the future. Take care, Limones
We live in the area and have eaten at Limones many times. The margaritas are always great and the appetizers consistently good. The coffee is terrific. I can say that it is rare to not have a good meal at Limones; yet at the same time, I’d have to admit that it has been a while since we had a great meal there. That would be due to our opinion that recently, the quality and creativity of the entrees have been inconsistent, lacking both in the subtlety and flavor to which we had grown accustomed.
Such an inviting place. The avocado tartar with smoked salmon was outstanding!
Delicious tapas. Went for lunch on a Tuesday and left extremely satisfied.
Enjoyed the meal and service, glad we made a reservation, they certainly were busy
