The menu here changes twice daily and includes a variety of fresh seafood, fine meats and house made pastas. But the real reason locals and visitors love Modesto so much is their upscale, wood-fired pizza! The pies are hand-tossed and cooked in an original oven made in Italy. Glass Onion, located on Main Street in Weaverville, is an independently owned neighborhood restaurant serving northern Italian cuisine. It’s just a ten minute drive north of Asheville and they offer locally farm sourced ingredients, including vegetables, fruit, lamb, beef and rabbit. They pride themselves on their commitment to quality and excellence and the result is some of the best pizza in Asheville! They are also happy to cater to vegetarian and vegan requests.
