Local Wine & Kitchen
Nice lunch menu selection. Octopus appetizer outstanding! Lunch entree specials excellent. Very good value...
Our server was amazing. The food was just okay. Had the salmon salad as an entree. Salmon was overcooked. Wine was just okay. Overall the meal was underwhelming. Philly is such a foodie town with so many great options, competition can be tough.
Experience was good
Amazing local gem. Always fresh and interesting food. It is great for a date night!
The food was great starting with the cheese plate that our server Cynthia recommended. All three of the people in our party enjoyed their entree. We enjoyed being at Local, especially since we had such fine service.
Food was good, best part was the Korean bbq shrimp & grits. Wine list was decent, it was a quiet night so ambiance was a little odd and service slow, but other than that it was fair.
Warm and inviting, excellent food choices served by attentive staff.
Danielle was really helpful and friendly. The drinks were fun and the food was delicious! We will definitely be back!
The pea soup was delicious and the risotto very rich. Both had generous seasoning with black pepper.
Birthday celebration! Excellent service, food and atmosphere.
Been there before and both times were great. This time with friends and we all had a great meal and a great time. Our server was fabulous. Will be back again.
Our friends are vegan. The choices were limited, but the staff took care their dietary requirements. Very much appreciated.
We started our evening with a cocktail and a cider. My jalapeno infused tequilla was smoky with a warm aftertaste and the cider was light and bubbly like champagne. Our starter was the Bucherondin cheese which was presented with interesting accompaniments and a creamy delicious flavor. The main courses of Korean BBQ Shrimp and Grits and NY Strip were very good. I could have used one more shrimp on the plate but the polenta style grits were just right and the sauce married them both perfectly. The steak was cooked to order and very tasty. Great service with outdoor dining, we'll be back!
I feel like this spot is a best kept secret in Lower Merion. The food is wonderful and costs and portions just right. Although all rooms are nice to sit in it would feel more festive if diners were not scattered all over the restaurant but in the front room. Noise levels seem manageable.
Overall not a bad place but wouldn’t go back. Cheese board was good but pork was dried out. Worth trying if you want to explore restaurants you haven’t tried yet.
Well it took over an hour to get our entrees after we first Sat down. My wife asked the server specifically if the trout was breaded and she said emphatically no. Well, it was breaded. She hates breaded fish. We live out of town and visit here occasionally to see our daughter who is a student. Been here 4 times in past 2 1/2 years and the menu needs updating. Feels like it has been same choices each time.
Service was awful — extremely inattentive. Food was only ok.
The food at Local is absolutely amazing. Everyone e should try this restaurant. You won’t be sorry!
Food was very well prepred with a lot of flavor!!!! Service could be better.
I really wanted to like this restaurant because I like the whole concept and the cute decor. Perhaps they had an off night but the time it took to get our food was terrible. The server did tell
us numerous times that it was on its way and apologized for the delay. Fortunately we were with friends and taking a lot so the time passes. Thankfully for us there were open tables on a Saturday night (although not a good sign for a restaurant) or the delay could have been worse. My husbands meatballs were tasty but my eggplant tasted burnt. Bread was delicious and the cheeseboard was good.
The service is really slow. It took 10minutes alone to be greeted and get water. The food was not worth the price and it was a weird layout. The Steak was very bland and had now flavor. The menu is also very small
Brought my boyfriend to Local (which is one of my favorite restaurants) for his first time. We ordered a wide array of things off the new menu, such as: cheese/charcuterie, clams, eggplant, pork, and steak. Overall the food was amazing. And we will definitely come back for the clams and steak. Both were cooked to perfection, and both sooooo yummy. Also, our server Sara was very friendly, personable, and helpful. She was the reason our time was so enjoyable! We will be back soon!
Love this place, but wish it could be a little quieter
Great place! Casual, intimate with small menu and modest portions but delicious. Definitely recommend!
Food was good, and our waitress was attentive. However, they don’t seem to make any effort to bring people’s food out at the same time. I got my appetizer way before anyone else. My husband’s appetizer came out about 5 or so minutes later. Finally, at least 5 minutes later, our friends got their soups. Same kind of thing with our entrees.
We tried both desserts on offer. The lavender-honey gelato tasted like eating chilled essential oil. Pretty disappointing. We will be unlikely to return.
The casual ambience of this restaurant belies the superb quality of the food. I ate dinner with a friend last week and we shared an appetizer (crab salad) and a pasta course (gnocchi) both of which were excellent. We also each enjoyed a delicious cocktail. The bill was very modest. So glad I discovered this Ardmore gem!
Great food and good value. Beautiful presentation. I can’t believe it took me so long to try this restaurant.
Cocktails were tasty as was the cheese and charcuterie plate. Our server Danielle was very nice as well. Very Nice place. We'll be sure to visit again when We're in Ardmore.
The menu was a little limited but the food we all ordered was overall good. They ran out of the special entree and our dinner reservation was not that late at 8:15. The waitress service wasn’t great. It took a while to get our drinks and she kept trying to take away the food before we were finished eating it which made me feel rushed and a bit annoyed. I thought the price was reaonable and the ambiance pleasant.
Love Danielle and Sarah!!! Bartender Ryan!! You guys rock ❤️❤️xoxo
New has a very nice cheese platter with wine. The mushroom gnocchi was delicious. Would recommend for a nice quiet evening with friends.
2/5 meals were under-cooked to the point of being inedible, the waitress spilled and broke a glass of red wine on two guests, cocktails were served in chipped glasswear, and the service was so-so to the point where we got up to ask other servers/employees for things that were forgotten. No accommodations or comp's were given for the red wine that ruined a sweater and a jacket, but we were told we could come back in with dry cleaning bills and that "there's a first time for everything" by way of apology.
Cute spot, but just not what we expected or were looking forward to!
Always great place. Food and service outstanding.
Gabby was our server and she was wonderful, and knowledgeable about the menu. Highly recommended!
It was a great time. The cheeses and meat choices are wonderfully chosen. The steak is a fantastic choice.
Great wine list, and wonderful food!
The food was good, but the menu was very limited. The cheese platter was good, but the cheeses were too cold.
