Birthday dinner was spectacular.
It was good
In town for a mortgage conference
We let them know we had theater tickets when we made the reservation. Everything went smoothly and everyone enjoyed their meal. We were seated right next to the low wall separating the dining area from the club area so noise was a factor.
Food was amazing. Had a great time with great service. The steak frites were perfect. Cooked exactly how I like.
Mr. Jerome is The-Best-Of-The-Best with respect to service within the City of New Orleans. Fantastic!!
Enjoyed a first-class breakfast. The setting, the service, the menu options were all excellent.
Located inside and on the third floor of the Ritz Carlton in downtown New Orleans. The hotel is beautiful and inviting. The restaurant is located just past a lounge where you can order a drink in a plush setting. The restaurant itself is in a large but intimate room just beyond the lounge. The service here is impeccable and the food is well prepared, fresh and hot. The “Taste of New Orleans” is a 3 course meal that includes seafood gumbo, blackened redfish and Banana’s Foster for dessert. This evening was a highlight of our New Orleans visit.
The best part for me was the ambience. The wonderful jazz music playing while you’re having dinner...The ease of going from the lounge to dinner and back to the lounge. The food was very good.
Delicious food. Jazz band was fantastic.
Skip the octopus. The tentacle served was enormous and tough. Service was spotty and often confused. You would expect more from a Ritz Carlton.
It was a little hard to find as it is on the third floor, but the food was great and the staff were incredibly nice and helpful!
Our service was really excellent. Our waiter was incredibly patient with the kids and a great representative of the restaurant and the Ritz Carlton brand.
I accidentally stumbled upon this place. FYI it’s in the Ritz Carlton so don’t show up in sweats like me and my boss. Everyone here was very helpful and the customer service was great. I opted to do the brunch buffet and it was amazing . SO MUCH FOOD. I recommend this place!
We had dinner here on our first night in New Orleans. I had the short rib with farro and sweet potato salad and my husband had the gumbo appetizer and red fish with dirty rice entree that was part of the the prix fixe menu. Both were delicious. We topped our meals with the banana fosters bread pudding. Amazingly good without being too sweet. Since it was Friday evening at 9pm we were able to also enjoy the jazz music being played at the Davenport Lounge, which is attached to the restaurant. From the food to the service which was also excellent to the jazzy music and sophisticated (but not stuffy) atmosphere, it was a very enjoyable evening and a wonderful way to begin our weekend in New Orleans.
Great staff and even better food
In New Orleans, most hotel restaurants are good enough to go to even if you are not staying at the hotel. M Bistro is one of them. We really like the food there and often go before attending a play downtown. They validate parking so this is a great place to have an excellent meal before a performance.
Delicious wine, crispy oysters, and wonderful service!
This was a great lunch spot! We were enjoying our day in the spa, and decided instead of ordering to the spa we would visit the bistro. We were not disappointed. The service is excellence, and lunch is very affordable with a wide range of selections. I enjoyed the soup & salad combo, and he enjoyed the squid ink pasta with lump crab meat. We were in and out, still feeling relaxed, in 45 minutes. Can't wait to try this location again for a work lunch, or dinner. They also serve breakfast.
Always a wonderful experience!
Food was great. Wish we were seated towards the back of the restaurant because the noise from the lounge just outside was very loud. Highly recommend the gumbo. Best we’ve ever had!
Thought the food would be better. Now I know why there wasn’t many people at the restaurant.
Good hotel restaurant with formal but friendly service.
We went to M Bistro on the last night we were in New Orleans. We ordered the Gumbo, it is excellent. Red fish is good. The Papadelle is the best we ever tried. Desserts of bread pudding and beignet are super delicious. Service is very good!
The restaurant is a bit pricy, however I love the proximity to the Davenport Lounge meaning we can listen to and watch Jeremy Davenport play during dinner. The atmosphereis a bit dark (use your phone light to read the menu) but the food never disappoints.
Beautiful place. Incredible meal, best beef filet ever. Service impeccable. Don’t miss this gem
Restaurant is located inside the Ritz hotel. Great food and good service. The restaurant is also right next to the bar area with live music which was an additional plus for us. I would recommend dining here, even for people not staying at the hotel.
Outstanding dining experience! Great food, delicious cocktails, wonderful ambiance, exceptional service, and delectable desserts. Highly recommend!!
Went for brunch with a group of 8. Good was excellent. Lots of New Orleans classic breakfast dishes. Our server was fabulous. She was attentive, informative, and had a good sense of humor. Setting was lovely. Definitely recommended.
Wonderful food & service!
We arrived for Xmas eve dinner and table was not ready. We were seated at a different table which wasn’t fully set. Service was awful and waitstaff though friendly was stressed and continued to apologize. Most of the meal was good main dishes were not hot and overcooked. Had hoped for a fabulous holiday meal instead got an expensive check for a mediocre family splurge. Not the Ritz I’ve come to expect.
The food was mediocre at best..... except the seafood gumbo. The gumbo was really good. My family and I went for Christmas Eve dinner. I was very disappointed. The food was nothing exceptional and bland. The beans served with one dish weren’t even cooked all the way. The service wasn’t terrible but maybe a step up from there. I would definitely not recommend.
