Mangal Meze offers the most outstanding samples of traditional Turkish cuisine! Variety of delicious mezes and juicy grilled meats are served all day with warm Turkish hospitality!

We are on the high street in Romford. Only a few steps away from the train station.

From the moment you enter, a warm and cosy atmosphere surrounds you with renewed decoration. The new decoration was designed with carefully selected and custom made materials.

In Mangal Meze, where you can experience the most distinguished samples of rich Turkish Cuisine, meals are prepared with carefully selected ingredients and special recipes.

Also, you can enjoy your favourite Turkish dishes as takeaway.

    Absolutely gorgeous food, as always. And lots of it! We're moving away from Romford this year, but have already decided we'll still be travelling back to our favourite restaurant!

    Went here on Sunday 22nd Jan..food was good quality, service was a bit slow(we saw other people order there drinks after us and get there before). However the staff was quite friendly and warm. Was expecting Turkish delight like the last time but this was not Offered to us. So for that I would only recommend this place for lunch or dinner but nothing special. I guess I was happy with it all and a little bit unhappy hugely because we had a crowd of what seemed to be work colleagues who were so loud. It was like an orchestra. But once again the food quality was great!

    I booked this restaurant for my mum's birthday. They set our table in the requested sofa area and we got a cosy corner which had been decorated with some small trinkets. My mum likes this restaurant so that's why we booked it. My sister and her bf live in Dalston which is known for Turkish restaurants shoulder to shoulder, they were pleasantly surprised and loved the food. I have been here before with my mum and I think they took extra care cooking the meats this time as all were perfectly cooked.. The fish was a little over cooked but it was still nice. This is not a fine dining restaurant and is your typical take-away or eat inside style place so I was very thankful for the care they took. Our waiter was also very nice but they always are, last time was the same when we went. The house was 3/4 full but I didn't feel like I was waiting.

    When visiting relatives we were looking for a place where we could take my parents, with fresh home cooked food good service and would cater for gluten free, we found everything and more in this great restaurant. My father who is not noted for his affection even hugged the waiter and declared it was the best meal he had ever eaten. Wonderful staff who took both of my parents hands and lead them to the lovely corner table.They loved all of the food and were amazed by the salad. A great meal and very happy customers, Just goes to show you are never too old to try a new cuisine at over 80.

    I've been here a few times and always been pleased with the food and friendliness of the staff. The most recent visit was for Mothers' Day lunch with the family.There were five of us, and they'd reserved us a table, but by the the time the food started arriving, we realised that the table just wasn't big enough for all the mains, bread, salad, drinks, etc. The lovely staff quickly found another little table to add onto ours, and nothing was too much trouble for them! My dad is such a fussy eater, but the waitress kindly went to find out all of the ingredients in the veggie burger for him, still with a big smile on her face! I had the Vegetarian Moussaka, which is always lovely. Mum had the lamb, and despite being fussy as well, she enjoyed every mouthful! We'll definitely be back soon!

    Our first visit to Mengal Meze showed what good flavours Turkish dishes can produce. The lamb stew on aubergine sauce was bursting with flavour and the lamb was cooked to perfection- not over cooked, plenty of it and a good cut of meat. They gave us a free starter of salad with super onions and then a dish of warm onions before our main course. My only regret was I was too full to have a dessert so will have to pace myself next time.

    I was so impressed with this restaurant that I've already started recommending it. My first person was the taxi driver on the way home! The food is authentic reasonably priced and delicious. It's a family run restaurant and you can feel that in the atmosphere. It's very friendly relaxed and comfortable. I cannot wait to return 😊 Thankyou to everyone x
