We are repeat diners here. Excellent food and service. We started with deep fried deviled eggs, which were interesting. He had Seafood Alfredo and I had Chicken Piccata. The bread with a selection of oils is always a treat. We passed on dessert, but the options were plentiful and tempting.
We had the scallops with risotto which was tasty but for $28 we expected more than 4 scallops, especially since they were on the small side.
Food was very good. I had the Parm crusted salmon - delicious! - and my husband had the bean burger which he said was pretty good. Waitress forgot to bring the bread and dipping oil with my entree, apologized, and then later said it was "extra" (menu says otherwise!) and so she didn't adjust the check for it - felt pretty ripped off by that when they should have made it right. Outside dining was beautiful place for relaxing with good food and a draft beer!
I always visit Market Street when I am in town and it is usually very good - this time, however, there were a few issues. The restaurant was very noisy due to trivia in the bar - volume was so loud that we could not carry on a conversation in the actual restaurant. In addition, although our server was awesome, they were way understaffed which caused long waits in between visits - had to track them down twice for service so that we could buy another bottle of wine. Food was hit and miss this time - half of our party enjoyed their food, half were disappointed. I believe this was just an Off Night and will be back next month when I am in the area again.
We had two tables adjacent to us that had different servers. Their servers were very attentive and on the ball. A table who got there 20 minutes after us, got their food first, and we ordered the same thing. Once we received our food from the runner, our waitress never came to check in, and we were done eating, with empty drinks before she returned. I am giving her the benefit of the doubt, since we saw 3 different servers in our small area, that maybe she had multiple tables on another side of the restaurant, but I would have been more understanding, if she vocalized this to us, if that was the case. It was a last minute decision to come eat here since it had been a while. We were able to book through OpenTable quickly and seamlessly. Upon arrival, we were seated quickly. Crab dip was mainly cream cheese and sour cream but was good. I got seafood alfredo which was good. Not too heavy. My husband got Chicken Parm and didn't really say much negative or positive. We also never got offered bread and dipping oils. I asked for it, and told her that if she did not want to bring all of the oils, I really only liked the garlic one. She brought one small, super small cup for us to share that oil, with a full thing of bread, definitely was not enough oil for the loaf, and never came back for us to get anymore.
Food was good but service was extremely slow and lacking. Took >25 min for appetizers to come out. Waited >10 min for condiments after food was delivered, then waitress came back because she forgot what we asked for. Never did receive condiments, ate without them because food was getting cold. Ordered a second drink when food arrived, that didn't come until the check was delivered. Never got the box we asked for, ended up leaving without leftovers after waiting another 15min for her to return.
Had to sit in dining room because pub area was full. A little too quiet and formal.
Both of our Brunch meals were cooked perfectly. Service was great as well.
The salmon was prepared just right. the meal was very good. Our server was right on.
The menu is diverse, the food is excellent!! I got the Scallops and Risotto and the scallops were sweet and fresh, the risotto was like homemade goodness. Our waiter, Cody, was attentive and friendly. Highly recommend and I will definitely be back.
This is a wonderful place with a wine list that is mostly American and with many reasonably price bottles (under $35). No big French wines but plenty of Napa and Sanoma. But the whole show seems to stop at 2010? Wine Spectator last reward 2009. What is going on? Service was great. Ambiance great. Food? You can get duck, this is the eastern shore!
The food was very good. The service was excellent. Will return soon. Great location.
Nice place but a bit pricey for a college town. The fried deviled eggs sounded delicious but when I asked how many came in the order was told 2 eggs, 4 half’s for 10.00??? That was crazy for 4 deviled eggs. I can buy 4 dozen eggs for that. Place wasn’t busy but took a long time for our drink order to come. Wasn’t impressed at all.
Exceptional service, great flavors!
Excellent place in Salisbury Md to have dinner this was the first time my food ( Halibut) came out way over cooked I should have sent it back as it ruined my meal but the bread roll and dipping oil made up for it i will go again as this is usually a great restaurant to eat at
Everything was fine
Great food and service, only thing I can comment on is the tables are small for a party of 4.
Great jambalaya and French onion soup. Returned for the crispy deviled eggs, so good I could eat 3 plates of them easily. Steak well prepared, good mashed potatoes & macaroni and cheese. Wine a little pricey but excellent tasting.
We sat outside and enjoyed the wonderful ambience of being in the cool Fall weather. The service was a bit slow, but not overly so, and very pleasant. The burgers were very good and the shrimp salad on avocado toast was delicious, even if a bit spicy.
Great meal! And great service!
Awesome food, awesome location, wonderful service.
I hate to rate it this low but it did take two hours to get dinner. When it arrived, we didn’t think it was ours because the person said they had different entrees than what we ordered. By the time they figured it out, it was ice cold. I ordered the AGI tuna appetizer and it was the worst tasting AGI tuna I had ever eaten. Otherwise, we really liked the restaurant. We sat outside where it was beautiful and really had fun overall.
Good food but a little slow. We weren't in a hurry though. Would definitely come back.
Had an early (5:30) dinner on a Friday evening. We were seated indoors, in a secluded booth opposite a wall of wine racks. The food was somewhat pricey, but delicious. I had seafood in a curry sauce, my husband had seafood alfredo. Our server was knowledgeable and friendly, and attentive without being bothersome. Overall, it was a wonderful experience and, when we are in the Salisbury area again, we will be back.
Always consistently good. Service can be a bit off at times. Sometimes great sometimes slow. This time they sort of forgot us for a while until asked desk what happened and for some reason no server was assigned.
We have eaten here several times when we are in Salisbury. The food is always well prepared and tasty. We will go back.
such a great place to have a meal, the service was amazing and the food was very tasty. There is also a lot of local brews on the menu.
Very good bunch. Service, food and ambiance was perfect
We decided to go on an impromptu date night while our daughter was at a party with friends. The Market Street Inn was close by, so we decided to make reservations and go. It was our second time at this restaurant.
The food we ordered was fantastic; I had the scallop special, and my wife had curry shrimp and scallops. We both commented on how fresh the scallops were on both of our plates-later on the waiter came and told us that they were shucking the scallops to order, and they had just been brought in on the boat from Ocean City a few hours ago. You could absolutely taste the freshness in all of the food that was prepared.
Great food! We have eaten here often. Very consistent. If being hyper critical, and as a beer fan, would request an expanded draft selection. But you can't beat their beer descriptions!!!
Great food paired with great service. They were kind to allow for a long business discussion. I appreciated the fact there wasn’t a rush to clear our table. Loved my shrimp and avocado toasts!
A lovely setting by the river. Food was delicious and service was attentive.
Very, very good food. The crab cake is out of this world...all crab, no filler. The creamy crab dip appetizer is excellent; the bread is a real treat. Lively outdoor dining spot on a perfect weather evening!
I ordered one of the specials- the scallops- which were very good. I requested a certain table and we were accommodated very graciously. Our server was a little slow but we were doing alot of chatting so it was ok but otherwise i would have been annoyed.
I have found Market Street to have good days and bad days or should i say good entrees and not so good entrees so I am grateful when i have a good meal but don't feel i can consistently have a good meal
Service was very slow and inattentive.
Took two hours for a two course meal.
They were able to accommodate our large party. Server was great. Mashed potatoes came out cold but we didn’t make a big issue out of it. Food was good but overpriced. The price was what I would expect from a bigger city...not Salisbury MD...but I guess they are going to charge more for tourists.
The food was very good, as was the service. I did think it was a bit pricey. I would go there again.
Awesome and amazing it was one of my favorite places
