Market Street Inn
The blue cheese and crab covered steak was amazing, and cooked perfectly to our specifications. The stuffed oysters were also delicious.
We went to this restaurant to celebrate our anniversary. It was one of the few non-chain restaurants open on a Tuesday. We were so glad we did. We weren't sure what to expect because the menu had some very different food choices. My husband is more of a meat & potatoes guy and was afraid to try some of the menu options, but he did manage to find something he was willing to try. Both our meals were excellent. Neither of us had anything left over to take home. We ate it all!
Great food and service. One of the best crab cakes ( yummy aioli!) I’ve ever had. We will definitely be back!
This was our first time dining at Market Street Inn, we wanted to try a new place as it was our 3 year wedding anniversary. Our server Tamra was incredibly helpful and patient with us as we got to know the menu with her. Between her kind service and the food which was a 10/10, we’ve decided that Market Street Inn will now be a regular date location for us.
Rume our server was fantastic!
This was a great place to go for our family of four. I love that it's by the water, the food was fabulous, and service was also wonderful. Thanks!
This restaurant is wonderful!! The food was different and very good!! The service was great!!
Great food, service and ambiance! Expansive menu selection and every selection was superb.
Service and food were very good!!
Very good food. Starter bread nice and oils were s nice touch. Garden salad nice crisp vegetables. Seafood loaded potato app was fantastic. Creole drum and seafood Alfredo also great. Place is kinda noisy . Nice wine list. Had communication mix-up with server on leftover. I thought he was boxing it for us; unfortunately not and was tossed. Recommended restaurant
Worth the drive from Newark! Our meals were out of this world.
Delicious food and very attentive wait staff. Atmosphere was very nice. I am so happy that my date chose this restaurant.
Clean environment and our server was great. Very efficient. Our food was excellent!
What has happened to MSI? We ordered two martinis and both tasted like there was a new bartender who did not know how to make the drinks. One was totally bad, tasting like cough syrup. The server remedied this with our two white cosmos- delicious! The crab dip appetizer is usually a favorite but was very fishy tasting and we each had only a spoon full. It is usually served with hot rippin bread but was served tonight with a small loaf of french bread which was very good also. My companion's steak was prepared as ordered and tasted great. My lemon piccata chicken was not a dish I would order again. It was just average and rather bland. We will not return unless the food improves.
Great food- and even better service- will definitely come back!
Excellent service and food, sat outside flies were bad but ambience was great
Great food. Great staff. Lovely location. Highly recommend
Wonderful dining experience. My sister and I ate dinner with my father who is very particular and he was very pleased.
Great restaurant. Everything was great. Food was cooked perfectly.
We were dining while in vacation and had an incredible experience. Fallon was our waitress and she was phenomenal, as was the food! We’d definitely do it again!
Great staff, food was excellent and they have a superior wine selection.
I would highly recommend Market Street Inn!
The food was AMAZING. And the seating was cute and the outdoor seating looked beautiful too. The server was very attentive.
Fantastic food, service. Sat outdoors overlooking the river and the fish and birds were jumping.
Loved everything we ordered!!! Everyone should order the butchers board ....huge portion n delicious!! Our server was also great!!
Unfortunately we were seating by the door that leads to the bar, and the bar noise was a bit bothersome. But generally we had a good experience, good service and food and reasonable pricing.
We are repeat diners here. Excellent food and service. We started with deep fried deviled eggs, which were interesting. He had Seafood Alfredo and I had Chicken Piccata. The bread with a selection of oils is always a treat. We passed on dessert, but the options were plentiful and tempting.
We had the scallops with risotto which was tasty but for $28 we expected more than 4 scallops, especially since they were on the small side.
Food was very good. I had the Parm crusted salmon - delicious! - and my husband had the bean burger which he said was pretty good. Waitress forgot to bring the bread and dipping oil with my entree, apologized, and then later said it was "extra" (menu says otherwise!) and so she didn't adjust the check for it - felt pretty ripped off by that when they should have made it right. Outside dining was beautiful place for relaxing with good food and a draft beer!
I always visit Market Street when I am in town and it is usually very good - this time, however, there were a few issues. The restaurant was very noisy due to trivia in the bar - volume was so loud that we could not carry on a conversation in the actual restaurant. In addition, although our server was awesome, they were way understaffed which caused long waits in between visits - had to track them down twice for service so that we could buy another bottle of wine. Food was hit and miss this time - half of our party enjoyed their food, half were disappointed. I believe this was just an Off Night and will be back next month when I am in the area again.
We had two tables adjacent to us that had different servers. Their servers were very attentive and on the ball. A table who got there 20 minutes after us, got their food first, and we ordered the same thing. Once we received our food from the runner, our waitress never came to check in, and we were done eating, with empty drinks before she returned. I am giving her the benefit of the doubt, since we saw 3 different servers in our small area, that maybe she had multiple tables on another side of the restaurant, but I would have been more understanding, if she vocalized this to us, if that was the case. It was a last minute decision to come eat here since it had been a while. We were able to book through OpenTable quickly and seamlessly. Upon arrival, we were seated quickly. Crab dip was mainly cream cheese and sour cream but was good. I got seafood alfredo which was good. Not too heavy. My husband got Chicken Parm and didn't really say much negative or positive. We also never got offered bread and dipping oils. I asked for it, and told her that if she did not want to bring all of the oils, I really only liked the garlic one. She brought one small, super small cup for us to share that oil, with a full thing of bread, definitely was not enough oil for the loaf, and never came back for us to get anymore.
Food was good but service was extremely slow and lacking. Took >25 min for appetizers to come out. Waited >10 min for condiments after food was delivered, then waitress came back because she forgot what we asked for. Never did receive condiments, ate without them because food was getting cold. Ordered a second drink when food arrived, that didn't come until the check was delivered. Never got the box we asked for, ended up leaving without leftovers after waiting another 15min for her to return.
Had to sit in dining room because pub area was full. A little too quiet and formal.
Both of our Brunch meals were cooked perfectly. Service was great as well.
The salmon was prepared just right. the meal was very good. Our server was right on.
The menu is diverse, the food is excellent!! I got the Scallops and Risotto and the scallops were sweet and fresh, the risotto was like homemade goodness. Our waiter, Cody, was attentive and friendly. Highly recommend and I will definitely be back.
This is a wonderful place with a wine list that is mostly American and with many reasonably price bottles (under $35). No big French wines but plenty of Napa and Sanoma. But the whole show seems to stop at 2010? Wine Spectator last reward 2009. What is going on? Service was great. Ambiance great. Food? You can get duck, this is the eastern shore!
The food was very good. The service was excellent. Will return soon. Great location.
Nice place but a bit pricey for a college town. The fried deviled eggs sounded delicious but when I asked how many came in the order was told 2 eggs, 4 half’s for 10.00??? That was crazy for 4 deviled eggs. I can buy 4 dozen eggs for that. Place wasn’t busy but took a long time for our drink order to come. Wasn’t impressed at all.
Exceptional service, great flavors!
