Our waiter was awesome - made some great recommendations and gave us great service.
Food was excellent. We have come to expect great food here and Mazaar’s never disappoints. Great wine selection as well. Our waiter overhead we were celebrating my guest’s birthday and surprised us with a delicious complimentary dessert to mark the occasion. Another great meal at Mazaar’s!
Had a little wait for our table but the food was amazing and well worth the wait
Our waiter was extremely busy. Our food came out just as we got our wine. Things should be better paced. We had to wait a long time for our bill. We went on a Saturday evening so it's expected to be busy. The only negative part of our visit.
Exceptional food and service. Love the ambience. Mazaar is a favorite dining spot for us in downtown Windsor.
We frequent Mazaar’s a few times each year. We brought 4 friends along and everyone was very pleased with everything. Great food and a great place to dine,
Made reservations, table wasn’t ready. Once we sat down, no one came to get drink orders for 10 min. No one asked if we would like another alcoholic drink, when asked for more water, they never brought any. With so many staff walking around, it seemed they were catering to the larger tables and forgetting the smaller ones. Food was great. Staff were friendly just not attentive at all.
Fantastic service and delicious as always! The waiter even brought out a birthday dessert on the house which I thought was a very kind gesture! You don't get that kind of service very often.
Romantic and delicious. Always go to Mazarin when in Windsor.
We dined here based on a stellar recommendation and we were not disappointed. We were a group of 9 people and shared various appetizers including garlic dip, hummus, calamari. The pita bread was the best I have ever had. One of our group is gluten free so the waitress brought her some vegetables to have with the dip. For our main courses we had beef or shrimp dishes, all delicious. A few people found their main course a little too spicy but still enjoyable. The décor was much more upscale than I had expected. All in all, a great dining experience and I would not hesitate to eat here again next time I am in Windsor.
It was our first time at Mazaar, we are happy that we decided to go there for dinner. It was a very pleasant experience, food was fresh and delicious, service was outstanding. We will certainly go there again.
Excellent service and food with nice live jazz. The manager was very accomodating as we wanted to hang out longer outside without the jazz to talk more over some drinks. I am not sure who likes those tall tables outside, but considering that I have never seen anyone picking them unless they had no choice...get rid of them and just have normal height tables. That's minor pickyness as they created a normal table for us outside. Food is great, but the service is awesome...highly recommended!
Always great food and service
Food was great, but service was poor. They need to hire more people.
Food drink and service all excellent. We dined on a variety of appetizers, all delicious and well presented. We chose the patio, which was pretty loud but we watched people and vehicles and had a great time. Yay Mazaar ‘s!
We were celebrating our daughter’s 30th birthday!
Outstanding food and friendly, attentive service! We ate outside on the patio on a Saturday evening and enjoyed live music. Highly recommend! We will return the next time we are in Windsor!
Everything was just ok. The dinner for 2 used to have 3 meats and vegetables. Not as good as it used to be. We barely started our appetizers and our entree was on the table.
Great place to go for dinner, whether it be with friends or for a romantic evening. I ate indoors and the dim lighting set the mood nicely, but outdoors would have been pretty as well with the overhanging lights. The restaurant is also a few blocks from Riverside so that’s a plus!
Our waiter was really polite and our food got to us in good timing. Everything was delicious! My only critique food-wise is that the rice was ever so slightly dry for me, albeit delicious still!
Overall, I recommend this restaurant to anyone who is looking for a good place to eat some Middle Eastern food in Windsor!
Family in town
We have been to Mazaars downtown a number of times. We have loved it every time, which is why we come back, of course. This time -- this past Saturday evening (July 6, 2019) was just the best! Anna was our server. Other young men, including the manager, came by and checked on us -- all good, all pleasant. And the music -- Theodore on saxophone is the REAL DEAL -- was absolutely beautiful. So . . . everything to commend; nothing to criticize. Please keep on keeping on. You people are wonderful!!!
Our original server was assigned to a large group, so another staff member stepped into help. He did an admirable job, but am not sure that was his role. He did his best under the circumstances.
The food came almost all at once (soup, salad, and entrée). Entree got cold before we could get to it and we ate it quickly so it wouldn’t get too cold. Servers were not very attentive. After food and drink came, they did not check on us until we were completely done. We also had to wait almost 20 minutes then had to go ask for the bill.
The food was very good and the Jazz music was great! The value was very good.
Great food, service and atmosphere.
It’s always an amazing time here, food and service was great :) glad we had our one year wedding anniversary dinner here.
This restaurant is amazing. The food is incredible. The ambiance is wonderful and the service is absolutely first rate. Delicious Mediterranean food that will not disappoint. If I lived in Windsor I would go there weekly!
We have been going to Mazaar’s since it first opened. It was always our favourite place to eat. We spent many family occasions there. Unfortunately the last three times we have gone the food has not been good. The quality of the food has gone way down. Very disappointed. We will not be going back.
I just love your restaurant---the food, the service------everything is awesome----will definitely be back---it has become my favorite------knowing that it was my Birthday, a generous and delicious cold chocolate dessert was presented as a token------was great----Thankyou.
The service was slow and because we weren’t a big party, we were overlooked. Definitely will not return!
I've been to this restaurant a few times. This was my friends first time here. She was so pleased with our experience. Planning on returning for girls night sometime soon.
Very nice atmosphere. Sax player was great. Food and service were of good quality. I did find the wine was rather expensive and was surprised no dip was served with the warm rolls. Bowl of hummus for dipping was $7.49.
If you enjoy amazing food with great service then i suggest you try this place and i bet money you will be back just as i have many times
I was in town for my daughter’s swim meet and had my mother with me. We wanted to try something different from what we typically eat and decided to try this Lebanese restaurant. We were pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere was lovely and the food was delicious. The portions were reasonable and the price was fair. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.
Amazing food and ambiance. Went on a Saturday night, loved listening to the jazz music played by saxophone. Loved the chilll vibe.
The food was excellent as always but the service was not. I attended with my mother and daughter, when we entered the restaurant we were seated in our reserved seat. Within 5 min a waitress named Noor attended and we requested a wine list. After approximately 10min another waiter attended and asked us what we would like to drink, yet we did not receive the wine list. After requesting the list again we finally obtained one after another wait. When we were ready to order another waiter came over and took our order and brought our drinks. The wait for our food wasn't too long but at no time did any waiter come over to ask if we needed more drinks. At one point while we were eating one of the waiters came over and asked if we wanted more bread and we said yes, there was still one pita in the basket and he took that one, but never returned. After approximately 10min we were able to get the attention of another server and requested more pitas yet again. Once we were done eating the service was very fast to get us to pay. In all I was very disappointed with the service we received and I will think twice before booking again for a dinner out.
Service was good but maybe because it was a very busy night with large parties food lacked flavour and freshness
Menu description stated grilled vegetable skewer but none arrived on my plate.
Exceptional flavors and variety. Loved the food. Only complaint is that the mixed drinks weren’t the highest quality, but what do you expect for a 7dollar martini?
Damn good. Martinis were spot on. Food was great.
My girlfriend and I go to Mazaar often and REALLY, really enjoy the food! Obviously our first choice to celebrate Valentines Day was Mazaar! Eager to enjoy our night and our food, I guess our expectations were that Mazaar would impress us for such a special night. The Restaurant was nicely decorated, music was wonderful at the beginning and our waitress was phenomenal. We read over the menu and everything on it sounded amazing, menu was easy to read over, simple and the food just sounded delicious! Wait time was decent, since we arrived early and we were the second couple in the restaurant. Once the food arrived the disappointments began. We got our Hummus and Fattoush and only thing good out of those two was the hummus, what ever red flakes they put in made the taste and texture of the hummus taste really good! The fattoush was over salted and very bitter. We got our own appatizzer and the Cheese Pie was WAY too salty due to the sun dried tomatoes and the beetroot in garlic yogurt was too rich in garlic that it was a BIG turn off! For our entree we both ordered the Tenderloin in Pomegranate Molasses... this meal was the most disappointing food out of the entire night! Over salted, the beef tasted like it was marinated in HP sauce or BBQ sauce, too many spices that it threw off the entire flavour and made us extremely thirsty. I complained and ordered another plate, the Chicken Kafta , again disappointed the chicken tasted like it was made out of leaves and VERY VERY bitter! The dessert was ...alright, just tasted like it was stale and then microwaved which made it worse! Over all, the ambience and FOH staff were wonderful but, whoever made that menu was more concerned on the presentation of the food rather than the flavour and obviously no one had tried the food before-hand to pick up on the over saltiness of the food. The biggest disappointed after the food...the bill!!!! $140 (with tip) for a meal that was extremely disappointing. PLEASE CHANGE YOUR MENU CHOICES.
