This restaurant does not look very inviting from the outside but we received a very wam welcome once inside and the ambience was warm and relaxing. The menu is extensive and we both chose the lamb shawarma wrap with salads which were delicious. We would definitely recommend it
Lovely! Food was fresh and desserts sweet.
Food portions are very small for the price, food quality doesn't match other Lebanese restaurants.
Pleasant welcome, very nice staff, well meaning and pleasant
Quick drink service
Starters were served within an acceptable time frame
Mains took way too long to arrive after the starters were cleared and the vegetables side order which was the subject of much discussion ( grilled or boiled ) failed to arrive with the rest of the mains
I left table and chased but mains were finished before they didn't arrive at all
' sorry it's her first night '
Good food , busy-ish Friday night with all tables taken
Maybe short of staff or space in the kitchen ? All went slow when the larger tables arrived - very big menu can't help
Sure it's fine on a weekday evening
Will try that .....
A wide range of dishes of which we had 8 between two of us. Each was priced between £5-8 with the average around £7. All the dishes were good to superb and we were pretty full with this number. A bottle of (really delicious) Lebanese Chardonnay was £28. The atmosphere was relaxed and pleasant. Overall we were very impressed and will be back again soon.
The food and the restaurant is good. A bit slow the service.
I defiantly would go back
Had the seafood set menu plus a couple of extras, all the food was delicious, and different! So lovely to have unusual menu items and all so well prepared or cooked. Service friendly and attentive but not intrusive. House white wine is fabulous for the money and again just a bit different being Lebanese. Have been before and will be back again.
Went for dinner with my mum, great service with recommendations and the variety on the menu was great. We opted for mezze and were not disappointed, even with new dishes (to us).
Will definitely return with the other half.
Great food and wonderful atmosphere.
Not at all what I expected from a'lebanese' restaurant....it's not the traditional Lebanese restaurant that you normally come across and definitely over priced...Food wasn't that great either
Having been to Meejana for an evening meal before, I suggested it for a work team lunch. We were not disappointed, the lunch menu is ideal as it has three size options for a variety of its dishes, great choice. Very tasty food.
Visited here last Saturday night for a special occasion with our son and his girlfriend and had a great time - great food and such a variety we had trouble choosing. The house red was really lovely - a Lebanese wine at £19 a bottle - good value.
Will definitely be back....
A good Lebanese, but pricey. Lovely ambience and staff.
The services is just ok as for the high street standards
The food is absolutely fantastic- big well done to the head chef and his team - all food came fresh and very tasty
A bit to expensive as for Lebanon food £6-£7 per small starter while in central London in a very good Lebanon restaurant you will pay £3-£5
Definitely good option to dine out. Large selection from menu. Food is lovely and freshly made. Our first taste of Lebanese cuisine. Staff very friendly and helpful.
However the bill was a bit surprising because the lamb with hummus "tapas" dish hardly had any meat at all. The 1 chicken main was an ok quantity and taste. The rest of the small dishes were vegetarian and very good BUT potatoes and chickpeas are not expensive ingredients.
Excellent and very authentic Lebanese food with good service. Do order the Lebanese wine too. The restaurant is gaining popularity and can get crowded yet the tables are such that it still feels very private. I often bring friends who have never eaten Lebanese cuisine there and they are always impressed. The waiting staff and the owner are on hand to advice you of what to order if you are unsure. Great for vegans too.
Great food that is fresh! You can see the herbs growing out back. Superb quality. The ambiance is a great East meets West fusion.
Great Meat! Everything is always freshly prepared and cooked and consistent every time. Never a bad meal here. Very tasty food
This is one of my favourite restaurants! As a vegetarian, there is loads of choice here. All cooked to order and fabulous flavours. Wonderful atmostphere - like being in a middle eastern house! The staff are lovely - nothing is too much trouble. So much choice on the menu you want to order it all! Highly recommend!
If you like Lebanese cuisine, or would like to try it, there could be no better place to visit in this area.
Nice relaxed atmosphere and good food, with a varied, flavoursome menu. The service was good and prompt for the most part but vanished after the main course - we were not offered a desert menu or coffee until we (eventually and after waiting some time) asked. Overall, though, a great little restaurant with lovely food and I would definitely recommend it for a visit.
Great authentic food and superb service. Hidden gem.
Excellent Lebanese food in a pretty setting. Great service, really tasty food - both the mezze and main courses. Definitely going to go back, either for lunch or dinner. Could sit & eat the delicious mezze all day!
The main dining area is intimate and beautifully styled with smoking pipes and sympathetic decor. I love the mezze dishes especially, with the falafel an awesome combo of crispy outer and soft inner. The Muscat blended wine was really interesting. Love this place!
I had never been to a Lebanese restaurant before but will definitely return. The food was excellent with a wide choice. Staff very helpful in advising. Despite choosing a set meal we were able to swap dishes to ones of our choice.
I would definitely recommend.
This was our second visit to Meejana and it was as good as the first one. The moutabal and Taboule starters were really good. My mum and I had the chicken marinated in 12 spices which is their most popular dish and we can see why! My husband was very happy with his mixed grill. Our waiter was very friendly and attentive.
This was my first time and i was blown away with the tastes of the food and friendly nature of the team.
The food wasn't great. I waited nearly an hour for my main before they came and told me they didn't have it. Prawns tasted frozen and bland. In fairness they did discount our bill, but it just wasn't very nice overall. Some of tge staff super helpful and others just vacant. Dissapointing really.
A fabulous Lebanese restaurant. Perfect for a cosy, intimate, romantic evening. A little pricier than other Lebanese restaurants I've been to, yet everything else - taste, atmosphere, service - make it worth a visit.
First visit to Meejana, and it will not be our last! Lovely selection of mezze, warm welcome, friendly service and a good wine list. Highly recommended.
The restaurant lives up to its reputation for very good Lebanese food. We visited on a busy Saturday night and there was some confusion over seating, and the food delivery to the table was a bit erratic. Will return and hope for a bit more on the service side.
The food at Meejana is tasty and good quality, but poor service meant some hot dishes arrived luke warm. Meze portions are not at all generous - a lady on a nearby table was overheard saying "You'll never get fat in this restaurant!" as she ate her set menus. Prices are too high for the meze, simply because portions are small; although overall this restaurant does not offer value - main dishes are expensive too. The baclawa was extremely disappointing - greasy and virtually no syrup. Coffee was sludgy and lacking favour - sludgy is the way it should be, flavourless it shouldn't be. Service was friendly but poor - there seemed to be a lot of staff so we can't understand why, perhaps they need to be better organised. Wine advice was poor.
Lovely food, great service but a little overpriced especially at lunchtime.
Good lebanese food in very pleasant atmosphere. Great service and lovely people
Meejana is unique. The food is cooked from scratch and the quality is evident in every delicious and nutritious bite. This also means that they can adapt the dishes to accommodate dietary restrictions - although if, like me, you have an allergy to milk there's plenty to choose from the menu anyway that hasn't been cooked with dairy. I was introduced to the restaurant about 5 months ago and have now been back 8 times. Without exception everybody has said it was as great as I said it was. One friend said he had never (in 60 years) eaten lamb so perfectly cooked!
Well prepared fresh food - wine recommendation well pared
An enjoyable experience
Took my boyfriend for his birthday as a surprise. We both loved the food, such a huge variety of dishes & so much that we wanted to try! Great decor & friendly service. Although, would have prefers to have been asked if we were ready for our mains as we're still eating out starters & it felt a bit rushed but enjoyed it just the same.
Great bar a few doors down to go for drinks after if you fancy
Authentic and well cooked with love. The restaurateurs take great pride in the taste and presentation of the recipes.
Excellent value, food and service from a cuisine not widely seen outside of London. The. Mere platters are delightful both vegetarian and carnivore - the chicken and lamb cooked to perfection. Try the Lebanese wine -a rarity outside of Lebanon! We bought a second bottle to take home. Try it!
We chose the special Chef menu and every single item was superb. Stand out dishes - spicy sausage, aubergine dip, humus and lamb.
Will definitely go back.
