Absolutely amazing restaurant. It looked very nice, the food was delicious and the cocktails were so well made. It was exactly what I wanted and I was so pleased I found it at the last second! If you want an authentic Mexican experience then this place comes close !
Been to Mexico many times and this is the most authentic place I've experienced in the UK. Loved everything about it!
We went to Mestizo for dinner and the overall experience was pretry good: nice atmosphere, great staff and amazing food. We ordered nachos and taco tray to share with margaritas and we were really glad. Totally recommended!
We love Mestizo as it is like eating in Mexico. Great experience from the arriving. Mestizo has become our meeting point when we are around London. Keep it up!
Best Mexican. Ever.
Very good service, speak both Spanish and English and got a free tequila shot when they learned it was my birthday the day before.
Very interesting menu, with plenty of dishes I've never seen before. Good for vegetarian and vegan options too.
Superb Mexican food and drink served with a smile, very much recommended.
Great Mexican food selection. Also great cocktails list
Very bad quality food
Everything was just right - the food was delicious and the service was impeccable, things came quickly even though it was busy; the staff were consistently attentive and efficient. we would definitely go back, Mestizo is one of our favorite dining experiences in London.
Fantastic service, unbelievably tasty food and drink.
Great food, best Mexican I've been to. I loved the pescadillas.
Amazing food and drinks. Wish service were a bit faster as we could have gotten in and out of the restaurant about 30 minutes faster. This might have been due to limited staff due to covid as prior visits did not have the same issue.
Good Mexican food and extra large portions. Just gutted that they forgot to bring the candle (celebration surprise) for my partner when I specifically called and requested beforehand. Otherwise lovely lunch
Excellent as always
Compared to earlier visits the food was bland and mostly cold. Would not go back for the food but the margaritas are great.
Service was also very good
I've been here a few times and the food is always excellent. It's always a good atmosphere and the staff are really good - always happy to suggest things as well for people who don't know everything on the menu. The enchiladas and flautas were brilliant!
Poor vegan and vegetarian options. Also overpriced for the vegan options available.
Mexican in London is hard to get right and they do! Plus they make the best spicy margarita and I couldn’t even feel my lips soooo spicy and yummy.
Disappointing. We went as a group of 4. Our starters and drinks were nice but the 2 out of 4 mains were inedible- the lamb mole was tough and difficult to cut or chew and the chicken medalion was also overcooked and barely edible.
We were really looking forward to this meal and sadly the experience was poor- the restaurant was so busy that we couldnt get hold of the host to tell them so decided to leave the lamb as-is and eat whatever was possible of the chicken. Finally when i did share the feedback and had to tell them that we cannot pay for the lamb which was completeky untouched! the host apologised and said the kitchen was very busy and chaotic and didn’t charge us for thw lamb! Sadly, thats the least we expected for something we couldnt even eat- overall I am very disappointed as this was my first eat out in the last 6 months and really sad to have such a poor experience. Hope they take this feedback and avoid overbooking themselves to manage the quality for everyone.
Came for Mole fest, found the food really authentic, a rare find. Service was very good, and charismatic. Will definitely be coming again
Brunch menu, the meat for the tacos was tiny! Literally! Quesadillas really cold. We wait 1 hour in between plates.
I would no come back
Fabulous as always! And a great response on buffet Sunday too deal with the covid restricting - very effective system in place!
Great food and drinks but wooooorst service ever!
Went for Day of the Dead, lovely decorations and music. Authentic Mexican food and lovely cocktails.
We have been coming to this restaurant for the Mole Festival for several years now. Food as usual was good and authentic, although they were quite mean with the tortillas. 3 small tortillas for two mole mains? Seriously? I know you can ask for more but last year we did and we were charged for them...This is a cheap staple and should be a bit more generous with it. Other than that a good meal. The Tres Leches as usual really good. I found a bit annoying that we were charged 4.20 for each of the Pan de Muerto we bought in the restaurant for take away even though next door in the shop they were selling them at 3.50 or 3 for 10 pounds. We should have been warned.
Also, I was surprised the restaurant looked at full capacity. Just as every time we have been in the past despite the pandemia. Not much social distancing ongoing. Remember that 1+ meter is the rule when you can have other measures such us masks (which you do not use while eating) otherwise is 2 meters. This has been kept in other restaurants we have been in London and elsewhere but not here. Just be aware if this is an issue for you.
I did email the restaurant afterwards to complain about this but received no reply. We were excited about taking our kids out to a restaurant with some atmosphere for halloween/ day of the dead and loved the way the restaurant was decorated. We were moved to a table in the basement, and then shocked when a band started up right next to us, with a guy doing a day of the dead dance and another guy chanting. I appreciate it's great to celebrate traditions but there was no Covid safeguarding. We were given no choice and had to sit right next to it. And in a basement as well! We also had the mole tasting menu which we were looking forward to but found a few pots of different meats very overpriced for £36 for 2. Sorry but it was poor.
Great experience and the service was great - attentive but not intrusive. Cocktails were delicious too.
Have been craving Mexican food ever since we moved to the UK. Mestizo is an authentic Mexican restaurant and the food and atmosphere are incredible. Highly suggest mole and the Molcajete Mestizo. Staff is so friendly. The Mexican market next door is also fantastic.
Always excellent, delicious food. Accidentally brought us too much booze but took it back no problem! I really like this place.
The best Mexican food in the UK. Everything was delicious. We’ve already made a booking to return.
No disappointed, taste truly authentic mexican, great variety and delicious! All confirmed by my bf who lived in Mexico for several years :)
Legit Mexican food in London! Stop by the market next door and take home some groceries and frozen pre-made meals.
Amazing food and great atmosphere. Margaritas are so good!
Authentic, colourful, quality, and enjoyable eating experience. Extensive variety of delicious vegan menu options, but must be very careful if following a strict vegan diet because often meat and dairy products are mistakenly served in the dishes or included with the condiments.
