Mission Inn Restaurant
Expectations were high. Overall experience was good. We had to wait estimated 20 minutes to get service. One of the other waitresses brought us cocktails when we complained. Our waiter eventually came over and took our order and ended up being very courteous. Our food was brought out. My daughter order salmon $29 and I roasted chicken $25. The chicken was an overcooked hen which I had to return for the salmon which was very good. Ambience very good. Afterwards we walked around complex which was quite enjoyable.
Fabulous, as always!
Had a lovely lunch on the patio. Our waiter , Yohannes, was very attentive and pleasant. The salads were crisp and quite refreshing, albeit a little small for the price. The bread pudding was delicious.
Definitely worth doing!
Wonderful champagne brunch. Our server was super friendly and always topping off our water, orange juice and champagne glasses. The only thing that would make it more wonderful would be if the noise level was lower.
I gifted my eldest son and aunt birthday brunch with a mission inn gift card. They enjoyed and ate plentiful. Thanks for good ambience and food
A fantastic location and attentive staff/service but for the price the food is good but not great or memorable.
Delicious food and drinks! And the patio environment is beautifully romantic.
We are dismayed at the reduction of buffet variety/quality at our annual reunion, compared to prior years. This year, no beef, no fish (aside from shrimp), no cheesecake. We ordered off the menú which also has limited choices. Chicken not memorable at all. The buffet used to be designed as varied as the resort itself. Today, not much better than Marie Callender. We are saddened by all this.
It was a beautiful evening. The food was amazing and the atmosphere excellent!! Our waiter was super nice and accommodating.. we will definitely be coming back!
First time going to this beautiful place, definitely I will comeback and recommend to anyone want to have a nice and elegant dinner 😃❤️👍🏼
It was very elegant setting with good food and service.
Lovely day on the patio.
We stopped here for lunch on our way to Palm Springs! What a pleasant surprise! Our salads were perfect and so fresh! Absolutely delightful!
We came here to celebrate family visiting from out of town. This was a great opportunity to combine sightseeing and eating lunch. The Inn is beautiful and the staff is wonderful.
My birthday was spent with sisters and cousins. A wonderful time!
Always exed my expectations, I will return for any special occasions.
I have eaten here many times before but this time I was disappointed. The ambiance was the same but the experience was different. Here is why: 1) Even though the restaurant was nearly empty (5:45pm) the five parties present were all seated right next to each other. This is done for the convenience of the staff not the customer. Bugs me. 2) No chef specials-menu only. 3) My entree was rotisserie chicken. It was overcooked and dried out. How do you mess up rotisserie chicken? My wife wanted me to send it back but I didn't want to wait for a new meal. 4) Service was ok. Polite but not warm or particularly attentive.
When I spend Mission Inn ($55 per person) type prices I expect more. I'm seeing this more and more at upscale dining places in our area. I'm not sure why. I know California labor laws are causing restaurant costs to sky rocket. Frankly, I can eat much better at home without listening to the table next to me and save a couple hundred bucks.
The food was not cooked as requested and the limited choices made it difficult to have a good selection
Delicious margaritas in a beautiful setting.
Staff was very helpful and it was a great meeting...
Food is always excellent as was our waiter Gerardo.
Food was really good. Table service was great. My reason for 4 stars is we made reservations, our table was supposed to be on the patio. They said they were preparing the table and it would be 15 min. No problem. Almost 30 min later they walked us to a table that was setup just outside the patio, missing the ambiance and experience completely. That's when I noticed a patio table empty, that still needed to cleared. I assume the party at that table just took longer than expected and they tried to find a solution. Thankfully they cleared that table quickly for us to actually experience the patio, even if it was so longer after.
Absolutely amazing! Delicious food and fantastic service!
Great staff never once went dry over a drink love the atmosphere as well
The apptmt system: great. The waiters: great. The Food quite poor and unexpected for this location. A Chef needs to supervise the quality of the food at the Mission Inn restaurant to be close to the Duane's restaurant quality or at the least be tastier.
The app says that there is burgers and a turkey club sandwich on the dinner menu. It is part of the lunch menu and needs to be corrected. Only reason I gave it 4 stars was because of that and it limited our dining choices for dinner. We decided on the buffet. The food was delicious though!
We made reservations for our valentine day date , the atmosphere was great and the architecture was amazing, the food was delicious and our waiter was awesome, with his recommendations and brief history of the mission he made our date even better. We’ll come back as we hear the Sunday brunch is also awesome.
My husband and I had a lunch date here and it was absolutely beautiful. Staff was friendly, food was delicious, and prices were fair. Will definitely recommend this place.
My husband and I visited the Mission Inn restaurant for an after Valentine's breakfast. We loved sitting outside in the courtyard and our server Beth was the best. It made for an enjoyable start to our date day!
Always great at the Mission Inn Restaurant. My waitress made me two of the best Lemon Drop Martinis.
Came here for a bridal party breakfast, it was absolutely perfect venue for it!! The prices are reasonable, food was amazing, and the service was top notch. Will be coming back for other meals.
Enjoyed great service and excellent food for dinner.
Beautiful atmosphere and the food was delicious. Using Open Table to make our reservation was easy and convenient. Great experience.
Everything about this restaurant was AMAZING!!!
We’ll be back!!!!
The quality of the food served has gone down from our visit last year. It seems there were fewer offerings on the buffet table. The desserts which were outstanding and so beautifully prepared, at our last visit, were so changed. These desserts could have been purchase at WalMart. I expected beautiful selections, and was so disappointed. Ordinary dry cupcakes with heart sprinkles do not qualify for fine dining.
It’s like being in another country. Beautifully designed, delicious food, and wonderful staff. Will be going there again :)
Had a wonderful pre-birthday dinner on the patio with a girlfriend. The ambiance was lovely and the food was awesome.
Hector our server was attentive and personable. He made our dinner a fantastic experience. The food was truly delicious.
I came here for my anniversary with my husband. We went to the Ritz Carlton for our last anniversary, and payed the same amount as here, and here we received half the food, and half the service. At the Ritz Carlton they made our evening so special the server was amazing and kind and was promptly and sat us away from others so we could have some privacy as this was a special night. We got a large amount of food on each of our plates including mashed potatoes, filet minon, lots of asparagus, broccoli, and a side salad. At the end of our dinner they gave us a very small desert and wrote “happy anniversary” on it. With 2 alcoholic beverages included, we payed 120$ without tip, and it was an amazing experience with a view. Here at the mission inn, we got a very small amount of food, including a filet minon, 3 pieces of asparagus, and two small raw carrots. The woman who walked us to our table told us “happy anniversary” once and that’s the last we heard of it, they sat us in the middle of three large tables with 4+ people at each table so we were squished and had no privacy, our server was kind and prompt, but at the end of the night when we finished eating and we’re finishing our drinks, our server came over 3 times in a 10 minute period persistently asking if we wanted more water even though we both had water left in our glasses. It felt as though she was suggesting we were drunk and needed water, and she was becoming very pushy, so we quickly finished our drinks and left. With 2 alcoholic beverages included, we payed 140$ without tip!!
