    Not our first time here over the years. It has a large menu and we often go with our young kids. Rolls aren’t cheap but also are not expensive. Food is good, some things could be done better. Appetizers were the worst of it. Edamame was fine, hard to screw that up. Chicken yakitori - seemed a tad undercooked and could be brined/marinated a bit more for more flavor. The charred bits on it were very charred though so maybe the flame needs to be lowered a bit and cooked a couple mins longer. The calamari was overcooked - too dry and meat was all brown and withered. Batter was too thick. The miso soup is also hard to screw up and it was fine. We ordered 7 maki rolls to share. Their size was big. Some better than others.

    This is our go to sushi restaurant when we visit Seattle. We've been coming once a year or every other year for a decade now and it just keeps getting better. The Moshi Moshi roll was a brilliant combination of flavors, with none over powering. For the first time we ordered something off the sushi menu, and the Brussel's sprouts with miso sauce floored us. All in all, we love this place.

    I have gone here every time I am in Seattle. The sushi is great. The code is low key. The neighborhood around it is cute with a lot of restaurants, shops and bars.

    Had a fantastic experience at Moshi Moshi! The price point is pretty typical for the area, and the quality of the food was fantastic-- probably the best sushi I've had in Ballard so far. There was a spill at my table and the waitstaff was unbelievably kind about it + offered a complimentary replacement drink! We'll definitely be coming back.

    I don’t love Japanese food but heard good things about Moshi. Tried it and didn’t like it still. The gyoza were bland and mushy; the California roll had no flavor. I did really like boot the tempura prawns - the tempura batter was perfection

    Food and service were excellent. The house speciality sushi roll was delicious. A good-sized portion for this and all other dishes. The shrimp tempura was also very good. Prices are reasonable for this area of Ballard.

    Half of us received our food quickly, the other half waited at least 15 additional minutes. Would've preferred the extra wait and had all of us served at the same time.

    Came to celebrate my son's 20th. Great food, great service. Wasn't a big fan of the spicy karage (Korean Kalbi style, wet) - I was hoping for traditional deep fried karage with a powdery spicy coating or rub. Rolls were great - tight and held together for dipping. Good balance of protein to sushi-rice. Excellent.

    Yummy food-had the king salmon sashimi and a few different rolls. Tried the specialty cocktail which was tasty and liked that it benefited the Maui wildfire relief. Would definitely go back!

    I really like this place because the food is reliably delicious, but the environment is very, very difficult to interact in. It's so loud you can barely hear the person next to you. If you don't mind yelling and repeating a lot then visit during the busier times. If you want to have real naturally flowing conversations I suggest going during less busy times. Lunch is usually a bit more quiet. Dinner I've found to be loud. The wait service was fine. Nothing special, nothing bad. Just fine... which is fine. I don't have expectations other than that honestly. They are always nice and never dominating the scene - which is good.

    Our first time here - we were looking for a plan B sushi restaurant since our usual, Kisaku, is closed Sundays. Overall, it was a good meal and the service was excellent. The yellow tail nigiri was fabulous and my daughter’s cali crunch roll was the best she’d ever had. Our only complaint is the $30 lunch donbiri (Bara Chirasi-don) was barely 2 tbsp of tiny chopped fish, salmon roe, and tamago ontop of a cup of rice on a tiny little plate. I guess the $30 price tag is for the little flower and lavender sprig on top? I mean… so not worth $30. Sad that this was my husband’s order, which made it a disappointing Father’s Day lunch (though he didn’t say that). Moshi Moshi, we will be back to try once more, but you gotta do better on a $30 lunch dish!

    It was extremely loud and cramped. When you order food it can come out at different times so can make it awkward if you are dining with others. Not good for a date hehe. 😅

    I was happy to find a place in Ballard that takes reservations. We had a party of three and they sat us immediately and we had water right away and beverages within minutes. The service is great. The food was delicious. We had 4 different rolls, gyoza, edamame and miso soup. All were great, fresh and yummy. We’ll definitely be back when we have a show to see at the Tractor Tavern.

    Very cute place amongst all the restaurants in Ballard. It was not the best or most affordable sushi I’ve ever had, but the ambiance was cool and it had a good amount of variety for everyone.

    tried soba buckwheat noodles with tempura. Soba noodles were not from scratch, but dried type. The broth was very mediocre. Noodles were lacking in texture: too soft, suggesting slighly overcooked given that they are subsequently placed in hot broth. The tempura was good, perhaps 4 star. Could have been double fried for more crunch. Nonetheless, crunchiness was acheived, and inside food was good! Ample noodles, enough for 2 people. Only 2 batter fried shrimp, and 2 thin slices of yam. I suggest more tempura and less noodles: 6 bits of tempura instead of 4, and 50% less noodle for more equilibrium The attention to our concerns was excellent. 5 star customer service!
