Mountain Branch Grille & Pub
double cut, sous vide, and cast-iron skillet seared
Whole gulf shrimp, celery onion and old bay served with lettuce and tomato
Really enjoyed our meal of calamari, twin crab cakes with Fries and cheesecake for $35 during restaurant week. Don’t hesitate to try them. This deal is so great. Value and delicious Maryland crab cakes! Value in the same sentence as crab is hard to find!
Amazing service our server was awesome. It was our first time going the food was delicious my parents loved it.
Beautiful place. Server was excellent. Soups were underwhelming- MD Crab was very salty and Onion Soup had Italian Seasoning/herbs on top which distracted from the typical Onion Soup flavor. Entrees were excellent- Duet and Short Rib. Deserts were also excellent- Flourless Chocolate Cake and Bread Pudding. Will definitely go again.
Our server Margaret was outstanding and so personable! She chatted with us several times, not just putting food in front of us! The food was also delectable, the presentation of their seafood special tonight was wonderful and surprisingly very affordable considering it had a crab cake, shrimp, scallops, and catfish! It was my husband’s birthday and we were treated very well . Outstanding experience.
Freezing cold night but great service and food. Waitress was excellent (thanks Margaret). Had the fish
Had a reservation & when we arrived we were asked if we “just wanted self-seating in the bar” even though they had 3 obvious open tables in the dinning room
. We looked over and the bar area was overcrowded, so we opted for the dinning room. We were seated right away & sat there for almost 15 minutes with no one coming to take our drink order or even to say “I’ll be with you in a moment.” Four different servers passed our table still without acknowledging we were there. We had our drinks, appetizer, entree all picked out with the time we were waiting. Since we were never acknowledged, we got up and left and went to another restaurant.
Morgan did a great job and the food was delicious. Steaks, BBQ ribs, short ribs, crab dip, Brussels, crabcakes and lamb were all good.
The food and service were excellent. However, the bathroom needed repair and updating. The storage closet (?) should have, at least, had a curtain to hide the contents. It gave a less than elegant appearance to an otherwise very nice restaurant.
As we were told by the shift manager, "If you want good food you need to be here when the brunch buffet opens because its gets worse the longer it sits." Yes, that is an actual quote. Our group of five adults arrived at 11:00am. The fresh made omelets were good. Everything else on the Sunday brunch line was mediocre to bad. Food was cold, over-cooked and not appealing. The steamed shrimp was not even deveined. Wait staff could not even explain the cost of the buffet or what drinks were available. Once we got drinks, refills were not offered. Restrooms had no toilet paper. The place has such potential. The restaurant is very attractive. It's just a poorly run operation that has not trained its staff and hired the cooks for the kitchen. A drive-through fast food breakfast biscuit would have been a better meal than what was served for Sunday brunch. WE WILL NOT GO BACK!
The Brunch Buffet was overall very nice. However, a few items were a bit overcooked. Sausage, bread pudding, Eggs Benidict.
This was a Christmas lunch with the girls. The Grille was decorated for Christmas, very festive. We had a great table with a view. The waitress was very attentive and polite. The lunch was good and we were not rushed, even though we stayed for 2 hours after we were finished eating just to catch up with each other.
Everything was fantastic. The service was excellent as was the selections that were offered.
Our meals were delicious. As the waitstaff was clearing our table she dropped a container of mayonnaise which bounced off the table and hit the floor. Mayonnaise was thrown onto our dinner companion's dry clean blouse, her slacks and shoes. The waitstaff person only cleaned the floor and the side of the shoes. While the verbal apology was sincere, there was no effort to mitigate the damage. No offer to pay for dry cleaning or reduce her meal by the amount of dry cleaning; no offer to 'comp' her meal; no offer to her of a complimentary dessert. I suggested our companion's husband reduce any tip by the cost of dry cleaning which he refused to do. We have dined at Mountain Branch many times and enjoyed all but last evening. It as a miserable ending to an otherwise enjoyable meal.
Great place to celebrate the holidays with friends.
Outstanding! The Prime Rib was top notch and Angel took care of us.
Very nice meal. They had the wood fireplace going so it had a nice fresh fire smell in the place which we liked for a cold winter's nice. They seated us right by it. Wasn't a huge fire so not hot to sit there. Food was excellent. Enjoyed our Spinach and Greek salads very much. My wife got the tuna; there was a little too much wasabi cream on it for her. Might consider putting that on the side or being a little less heavy handed with it; once it's on, you can't remove it. She had to not eat some of it because it was too spicy for her. My filet was wonderful. Would have liked a little seasoning on it, but the meat spoke for itself and the demi-glaze was their flavoring for it. The mashed potatoes were amazing. We always forget Mountain Branch is nearby and always enjoy our meals there!
We had a great dining experience on Friday 11/20/2021. Our waitress Angel was excellent. The lighting was too bright where our table was located, but they dimmed the lights after awhile and it was much better. The food was very good. We had a very pleasant evening. We will be returning again, and would recommend this restaurant to everyone. Kim Loren
We have been to the Sunday Brunch before at Mountain Branch, but this time the food seemed to be under par. The waffles and french toast were hard, some of the other dishes were cold. Hopefully this was only a one time thing because we have had some great brunch meals here. It's a great value especially once you add in the unlimited mimosa's and bloody marys
The food was tasty. We should have stayed about from the Flourless Chocolate Cake dessert. It was very gummy and overly sweet.
Wonderful time with family and friends. Good service and beautiful view!
Excellent dinner with friends. Food is always delicious. Wait staff always attentive.
Service was slow. Some of the food Luke warm. Was going to get dessert. Told use of some dishes. Never came back. When he did we just got the check.
Service was great! I ordered the pork chop...great flavor but portion size small and meat was dry and chewy. Wait staff attentive and kitchen made up for short comings of entree.
The hostess and our waiter were amazing "people", not just employees. They both were friendly, competent and very good at what they do. Service is their forte!. I will be going back, very soon!
Some food was not hot and had to be sent back. The place was EMPTY. Overall good but I felt it was overpriced.
Not as good as it used to be. I haven't been there there since they first opened.
The crab cake was undercooked. The server could not tell us what type of IPA’s they had and got frustrated when we asked. She told us they had “doggie style” and “red eye” which do not exist. My husband had to up and ask the bartender himself. They should have a beer list!
We always enjoy the crab cake special--food is served hot and the crab cakes are large! Our server, Margaret, is always pleasant, efficient, and attentive; as a result, we have a very enjoyable dining experience!
Enjoyed our dinner at Mountain Branch. Food was delicious and did not disappointment. Our server was engaging and accommodating.
Food and service was great. The room was a little cool, could have been a little warmer for my liking. My wife and I had a very enjoyable, quite and relaxing dinner for our 49th Anniversary. There were no crying, screaming children or kids running around in the dinning area. Just adults having relaxing dinners and conversations. Was not over crowded but enough people to give it some activity. Other meals around us were well presented and smelled very enticing.
We were a large group and had Great service and food
Service and place was nice. Seemed a little disorganized and staff seemed untrained and ill prepared. Shrimp bisque was worst I have had. Steak was great but rest of dinner was look warm. Pork was overcooked, apple was gross. Bread pudding was microwaved to warm up and parts were still cold. I have been here several times before and this was a a big let down for New Years.
My friends and I get together every year around this time for our Christmas brunch. It has become a tradition and Mountain Branch does not disappoint. The brunch is the best around. There’s nothing you can find for breakfast. You can go wrong either with bottomless mimosas. They also offer meats, veggies, seafood, soup and fruit for lunch. I can’t say enough about how much we enjoy this. No other restaurant can compare.
I’ve had many experiences at MB, mostly good. First time taking family from out of town there and it was disappointing. Service was slow, entrees took an hour and were lukewarm at best, and the server missed the soup order. When I mentioned the the food not being hot to the server, his reply was, “As long as you’re enjoying it...”
What a shame.
Very slow service. It took almost two hours just to order. Food was cold when it came. Brutal.
Dinner was wonderful! I brought International Guests and they really enjoyed the food and atmosphere. Our waitress was wonderful, very attentive and worked through the language barrier with ease.
Great buffet! Awesome location.
Food was much better than we were expecting. Dining room doesn't have much atmosphere and seems very small compared to the building exterior. Maybe there are other dining rooms we did not see.
Service was a bit brusque and not really attentive and it was not crowded. They were also in a hurry for us to leave (9:20) and they are supposed to be open until 11:00.
Delicious meal, wonderful service, lovely night!
We were celebrating our 6 month of being married although we haven’t quite hit a year because we are having a vow renewal/ wedding on our one year anniversary, however our waiting brought out a complimentary cheesecake with a candle and celebrated with us. I love the fact that we had 1 waiter dedicated to our table and was on top of everything!!!!
