Food was delicious, service was friendly. Would go again.
The steak we ordered was marginal. Not what you'd expect for a +40 dollar price. The roasted potatoes were soggy. The salad was small and served very cold. So cold you couldn't taste it. Service was good.
Enjoyed a relaxing weekend with my parents in Montauk during the off season, and we decided on Muse for a Saturday night dinner. We were able to get a table for 6:00 pm which was perfect. It was quiet to start, and other tables were filling up as we were leaving but the restaurant had a great ambience and was enjoyable. The menu had a lot of selections from different cuisines (Asian, American, Italian, etc.) and they were also featuring a few Valentine’s Day specials, both food and drink. The drinks and cocktails were a bit over priced; tasty but nothing too unique to charge $4 for a soda and $15 for a basic cocktail. The food was delicious. As I mentioned before, there were many options from different cuisines and everything was done very well. The pictures speak for themselves! Overall, I would definitely return but probably have drinks before or after elsewhere.
We had a lovely Valentine’s Day dinner at Muse. We got caught in traffic leaving the city and arrived pretty late, but they were happy to accommodate us. Everything was delicious. The fluke was particularly good, and the sauce was flavorful without being overly salty, a rarity in a restaurant. The service was superb. Efficient and professional without being overbearing. We will be back next time we’re in Montauk!
Everything was delicious. Nice atmosphere good music and service was great
Disappointing! Very crowded and noisy! Drinks at the bar seemed watered down. Delay in honoring reservations! Too much emphasis on decorative plating of meals. Puréed cauliflower was tasteless and puréed carrots poor. Ahi Tuna and salmon prepared well. Not enough to return’
Food was very good. Service was challenging but its off season so I get it.
Server was very good but spread too thin. She was very accomodating to all my food allergies.
Atmosphere was lovely, very nice inside.
Mussels
With fava beans and artichokes
Were a great surprise. The zeppole for dessert are a must!
Fairly prices. Nice place
On a recent January weekend evening, I would have given this restaurant straight "5's" across the board, but just a tad lower for service - though not the waitress' fault. She was excellent. Unfortunately, she was the only waitress for the entire restaurant, assisted by two helpers. Poor girl running back and forth, but did a great job - very friendly and professional. (She gets 6 stars out of 5!!) Management's fault for not hiring additional staff.
Food was great, and our entire was several "small" plates - which was enough for a meal. Lobster small plate was excellent, as were the roasted brussel sprouts. Bread served with butter and red pesto topping nice as well.
As others have noted, a bit chilly seated by large sliding glass door in front. Noise level fine. Place nicely decorated.
On the other side, bar scene was good. Musician "Manny" played lots of good songs, sang excellent, and his words in between was like getting a free comedy show as well.
Think Muse is a good value.
Food was wonderful and unique, but I was freezing! We sat not far from the door and every time the door opened I needed to wear my coat and it wasn’t even a freezing night. That needs to be addressed.
Wonderful food. Very cute place.
Overpriced for the food which was fair. Spotty service. The restaurant is very loud. Wear your noise cancellation headphones.
Wonderful ambience . Delicious food symaller portions but outstanding
Delicious. Our waiter, Francisco, was great! Will be back in the future.
It is a lively place, bar and dining side by side but separate. Minimal decor, attractive enough The fish was EXCELLENT ( it is Montauk!) My order was a bit wrong - instructions not followed, dish delivered to wrong diner, and though I wanted the salmon dinner, I got a piece of fish on my salad instead. There wasa 50/50 split on the mussels, half thought they were "fishy" half thought they were GOOD. It was fun, though, the waiter was friendly and fun
Anniversary dinner at Muse. Everything was absolutely delicious! The meal started with warm fresh little loaves of bread with port wine cheese spread, olive oil and butter. I got the $35 early dinner special that runs from 530-630pm. Included a salad which hubby ate and loved, and I got the blue cheese salad a la carte for $12. It was insane!!! Could only eat half, brought the other half home. Then hubs got the Gorgonzola steak that came with awesome potatoes $52 and my meal was the chickpea chicken-delicious!!!! We finished off sharing my dessert-a chocolate flourless cake served with vanilla ice cream, whipped cream, and fresh berries. The atmosphere was romantic and we will definitely be back! Altogether with a Peroni for him $8 and Prosecco $14 and coffee for me $3, the bill was $133. So worth every penny. The service was outstanding, too. Highly recommend!
Love this place. Always good food and bar fun.
We have been here before wasn’t as good and the Caribbean music wasn’t good and we could hear it is the restaurant, our waitress was wonderful
We had a great meal. The specials were delicious!
We had a birthday dinner for three lifelong friends. It could not have been better! Food, servers, singing, ambiance, noise level (low)....definitely the best meal I’ve had in Montauk in a long time!!!
A step up from the average fried or broiled seafood that is common in Montauk (not that there is anything wrong with that). The food is carefully presented and delicious. The ambience is a little classy but still Montauk casual. Highly recommended.
The Muse is a cute small restaurant that had excellent service and wonderful food. There was a large, extremely loud party but it wasn’t the restaurant’s fault. We still had a good time.
Good food, lack luster service!
Very good addition to Montauk dining options. Food, service, and ambiance all top-notch. Crazy expensive, but that’s true with all Montauk fine dining options these days.
Excellent in every way!
We had the catch of the day (striped bass), tuna and a side of brussel sprouts. The tuna is some of the best we’ve had.
This was our second visit to this restaurant. As with the last one, everything was quite good, nothing too much to complain about. Ambiance is lovely, people who served us were very nice and overall the food was very good, not exceptional. The onion soup was my favorite part of the meal; really delicious! The bread and threesome of spreads/oil was a nice start. I liked that they were willing to give me a taste of wine before I committed to a choice. Regarding the main dish-the pork with peaches was good and very tender. But the peaches were not ripe or juicy (crunch!) and that resulted in a sauce that was much less flavorful than it could have (and in my opinion) should have been. Therefore, I found this dish less satisfying for the amount I was spending than I’d hoped. I think my husband disagreed about this, however. He seemed to enjoy the same dish more than I did. Perhaps this was due to expectations. When I read peaches I thought sweet and fruity. I guess he was fine with a more savory dish because it’s what he anticipated. So much of dining is this way, I find. As for the music in the adjoining bar, it was mediocre at best. Two guys playing the guitar and drums and singing a lot of Tom Petty and other tunes from that time period. Again, so-so at best, and it didn’t really add to the dining experience. Guess that changes depending on the “talent” they have on any particular evening. Overall, a very pleasant meal experience, and we will be back.
Though the wait staff took a while to get to us upon our being seated, the rest of the evening was superb. The martinis were dry, the chicken was moist and flavorful, the baked clams and onion soup were home made and a delight and the key lime pie and coffee ended a fabulous dinner.
One of my best meals of the year! The food was absolutely amazing - butternut squash with feta app and “surf and turf” diver scallops and pork belly.
The server was handling the entire dining room and did so seamlessly.
All in all a great meal that is highly recommend.
Gourmet food! Great Happy Hour and early bird dinner!!
Delicious !!! every time we go it gets better !!
Always enjoy dinner at Muse when coming out to Montauk. Food is delicious and inventive. Love the ambiance at the bar and at tables outside.
Always an excellent meal to be had at Muse. We had an dinner early so it was still relatively quiet. Food and service always consistently good here. Watermelon/feta salad and BLT salads were both excellent. We had the chicken with orzo (good but not a favorite for me), tuna poke and grilled octopus which were both outstanding. Will def be returning again.
Great food, great presentation, great service
The house salad was good. My entree, Gorgonzola steak, was very chewy and sauce overpowered the taste of the meat. 3 of us ordered the steak and felt the same way!
We go there every year on my birthday and didn’t disappoint
Good food and good service. We brought our 2 year old son and they were very accommodating. Restaurant was a little awkwardly quiet but overall was great.
Awesome dinner!! Started with the fried cauliflower, pork dumplings and the scallops mac and cheese (which was beyond delicious)!! For entree we had the tuna and brussels sprouts which were more soft then roasted but great flavor! Paired with white wine and to finish the flourless chocolate cake which was ok. Overall great meal and would return!!!
We were greeted by a friendly hostess, had a charming waiter, and ate a delicious meal. Who could ask for more? Ambience was nice: upscale without being stuffy. It wasn't quiet, but it wasn't so noisy we couldn't hold a conversation.
Service was awful. Place wasn’t even busy and our waitress was never around. I had to send back the first dish after specifying i didn’t want tomatoes. They brought me a new dish and the zucchini was hard. disappointing. My husband said his fish was good but the watermelon salad had no flavor.
