The arancini appetizer was excellent, and definitely shareable for all but the biggest eaters. Every time there is a lamb dinner special, grab it! And the most simple and basic chicken parm served with spaghetti is a delight. Yet his relaxed, welcoming demeanor immediately put us at ease, signaling that there was no rush to our meal experience. The food was delicious, the room bright and pleasant, the decor sophisticated yet whimsical, everyone seemed happy --- it was a joyous summer afternoon. My double cheeseburger and my friend's Gluten-free friend's avocado sandwich were so filling that, despite being tempted by the dessert menu, we sadly asked for the check after finishing our meals. But then Phillip cheerfully brought us both a complimentary scoop of vanilla ice cream each, complete with gluten-free doggie biscuit-shaped cookie, to wish us both happy birthday! It was just the right amount of sweetness and the perfect way to end our lunch. He also let us linger at our table as we discussed love, life, and loss until 2:30. I came home to tell my husband, "The next time we go out to eat as a family, it's got to be at White Dog." TWD and Phillip were class acts, from start to finish.
