V day dinner

Food was greasy and the taste just wasn't there. The ketchup they gave me was old not even the french fries could pierce the hard top layer of dry ketchup.

It was nice to get out of the house after being locked up during pandemic. Our food was great, server was polite, efficient and masked. We are outside in a tent under heaters and we were quite comfortable.

We went to celebrate a birthday. Totally understand not being offered a complimentary dessert but to be charged almost $10 for a small slice of cake, seemed a little over the top!

You guys did a great job keeping us warm during covid season- we would definitely return as the drinks were great and the service was amazing

The food was great and the service was terrific! NYAJ's Gaithersburg staff made us feel very welcome and took care of us.

This is one of the few good places around nearby where we can still dine comfortably in an outdoor, heated, patio.

The table was dirty and it rocked. The ambiance 👎🏼. We didn’t even order we left.

Pretty bland and unremarkable. Not terrible no but didn't leave an impression. Ive had better for the price. Also outdoor seating only kinda sucks. Heaters or no its still to cold.

Servers and managers were so attentive!

We keep trying to love NYAJ but there is always something wrong. This time we were served raw bread!! We were seating in their ample outdoor seating area, with very little light but it was in fact raw, cold, dough!! My husband ordered a pepperoni pizza and confused the server by asking for the "joe schmo" salad. They brought him a jow schmo pizza instead. They quickly threw some pepperoni on it and brought it back, and added it to the tab, charging for 2 pizzas. The server still was amazing and promised if we come back HE will make sure we have a perfect meal.

A meal at NYAJ's in Gaithersburg is always a satisfying experience.

We went to celebrate an early birthday dinner. We received gift certicificate from restaurant and used it.My husband had their burger and really enjoyed it. I ordered the chicken Parmesan...it was delicious and enough for a second dinner. Very good outside dining and Covid standards...we were at the Kentlands location.

The bread was very stale. French fries came out cold and hard. We usually have no problems at NYAJ, it was strange.

I took my 2 teenage granddaughters for Sunday dinner. We enjoyed our meals and the service was very good. They are doing a very good job during the Covid crisis...the outdoor dining was pleasant and toasty warm under the heaters.

They have a nice outdoor seating area with heat lamps. Love that they have a menu to scan and if needed a paper menu upon request. I ordered their clam chowder and it was good, not too salty as some chowders can be. The crunchy salad was delicious and the grilled chicken on top came out steaming hot! Husband ordered the Thanksgiving Turkey special and he cleaned his plate!

A great option during Covid ! Great food, heated lamps, plastic sided tent and socially distant tables. Just needs more dessert options !

Dinner menu not as satisfying as a recent lunch.

Was disappointed to find some menu changes since we had last been there - they no longer have sweet potato mash, the jambalaya is now a pasta, and they seem to have changed their lemonade - it was EXTREMELY tart. They also had the front door ajar, so the restaurant was chilly, and service was slow, despite not having many in person diners. But food was good, and would still go back.

The Arnold Palmer I ordered tasted like water with a bit of lemonade.

We were very pleased with the quality of the outdoor patio setting and the food was its usual very good quality.

Food was very good but the service was super slow compared to usual. It turned into a two hour dining experience.

Great outdoor space. Food was delicious. We were overcharged for wine but the manager corrected the issue & was very apologetic. Our sever must have been new (or I hope she was) - she was scattered & inattentive most of the night - but very nice. Overall great evening!

The chicken tenders took a very long time to come and then they were over cooked. They were hard. The waiter had them taken off my bill. My Mediterranean Salad was half a bowl. I got 3 small chunks of chicken and handful of salad in the bowl. It was as if I paid for half a serving or someone just threw it together. Although it was tasty, just don’t know why I got a handful of salad. Asked for 2 medium rare burgers and we all got all 3 well done. Why ask our preference. The Sangria was terrible. Worst I ever had. Overall the food was not that good but I will try you guys again cause I like the server and the outdoor ambiance.

The mango shrimp and chicken bowl was delicious. My only (slight) issue is that when I made the reservation on open table it asked if we were celebrating a special occasion and I said it was my birthday-but not a thing happened, even no “happy birthday” from our server. Would have expected some acknowledgement sine you asked......

I honestly didn't expect to love this venue and I did! The social distancing and food handling while seated on the outdoor patio was terrific. The super crunch salad, with shrimp, exceeded my expectations. The service was stellar and prompt. I will return for lunch for sure!

First venture to a restaurant since March. Good experience with friends like us. There were only 2 other tables with customers. Tables were spread out and that was very important to us.
Not Your Average Joe’s seemed to be taking good precautions

We ate on the patio and were very impressed with the safety measures put in place (no printed menus unless requested, paper napkins, lots of space, etc). I had the ahi poke bowl and my husband had the jambalaya pasta. Both were delicious.

Our server, Michele, was attentive and informative, espcially regarding my friend's gluten sensitivity. Our meals were great.
