Nu Chinese Bistro

Wouldn't take a credit card under 50 dollars? For a restaurant on OpenTable? Seems weird to me. That's the largest minimum I've ever seen.

We’ve been here a few times. We ordered Peking duck. I’m not sure why, like other Chinese restaurants, there wasn’t enough wraps for the Peking duck.

Food is above average. Not too salty like other shanghai food restaurant.

We visit this restaurant every few weeks or so. The food is always great, especially the sticky rice (only served at lunch).

This restaurant should not be on open table as they decline open table cheques but do not let diners know until they are paying. Food is standard.

We bought lunch for 2 and the food was delicious,we can’t even finished the hot and sour soup and we had 4steam dumplings(2 for each person)but when I purchased lunch for 4,the portion was not very good. The soup was the same for 2person and they only gave 6dumplings for 4person. Not worth it

Not a super Shanghainese restaurant in Richmond, food is soso and not so many people there, which makes my booking a bit stupid. I dont think I will come again.

A bit pricy compare to other Shanghainese restaurant. Food is average but service and environment is excellent. High end decor and server is very attentive. Good place for friend gathering as they are not a very busy restaurant in Richmond area. Credit cards accepted.

Too expensive,not valuable...........................

This was our second time coming to this restaurant. We decided to order a set menu this time with duck. I was disappointed with the duck wrap course as well as the flavour and texture of the jellyfish, but other items were good. The dishes here tend to have a lot of flavour. Watch out for servers trying to take away your dishes with food still on them.

I had my birthday dinner there with family. Great food recommendations, attentive and genuine service and moderate noise level. Very good experience!

This place gets really busy during weekends and Friday nights. I went during a tueaday.

The owner was the one who greeted us with smiles and dish recomendations. she asked us if it was our first time here and made confident recommendations for first timers and for dishes to pick when returning back.

Very tasty food. well prepared. good service. clean environment. So many good dishes to choose from but too small of a human stomach to eat them all at once. So be sure to come back to try the other dishes. I know I will be back for sure.

Chinese restaurants are supposed to be loud and busy, so expect that. It's more fun that way.

Ambiance and decor was very nice. It has a very asian feel. The food was really lacklustre. They seemed to be more well known for their fried foods. So if you get the other dishes, they were quite salty.

My husband and I were in the Vancouver airport area (Richmond) meeting a Canadian friend for Christmas. When we're not familiar with an area, we usually go to Open Table. We originally booked for two and then increased our reservation to 3. We were all thrilled with the Nu Chinese Bistro. Visible from the street on the 2nd Floor, it was an small adventure figuring out how to the access from courtyard of the building. [Don't miss the 3 story mural.]
We were greeted by the Manager whose last name was Nu. The restaurant was filled with groups of Chinese enjoying themselves and the food [usually a good sign]. Ms Nu worked with us to select some fabulous dishes that the three of us ate family-style. We haven't had such good and authentic Chinese food outside of China. We never would have found this culinary gems without Open Table! We're glad that Nu Chinese could be found and booked that way.
