Overall very nice meal, but this time my food arrived on the cool side and not as spicy as it should be.
We got married here abs returned to celebrate our anniversary. Not only was the food outstanding but our server Mac was terrific as well. We will be returning each anniversary for sure!
We have all been wanting to try this restaurant for some time, and it did not disappoint.
The food was outstanding. Everyone loved their meals, but this restaurant is a little on the high side for dinner menu and drinks. While the restaurant seemed to be short-staffed, they were all pretty busy and we had several people stop by and ask us if we needed anything. The cordial drinks were good, but a little on the expensive side, ( Old Fashion was $19.00, and my husband and friend felt like that the drinks were on the light side). Since we had a group of 6, they automatically added a gratuity of 18% which was fine, as we tipped them even a little more because of COVID and helping the restaurant get back on its feet.
A nice little gem in downtown St. Augustine. It was a special treat for us to celebrate the new year and seeing each other again after many months of quarantine. All in all a great place and I would go there again.
We had the Swordfish which was the Chef Special, it was AMAZING!!! It came with 2 shrimp, out of this world carrots, and split pea mash potatoes.
Robin was our waiter and she was a delight! Will def be back!
Great food and outstanding service. We will definitely eat here again
Old City House Restaurant is a fantastic fine dining restaurant in St. Augustine, FL. They always have wonderful entre'es, with tantalizing specials, a fine wine menu to complement, and a full service bar. The waiter staff is attentive, friendly, and very knowledgeable. I come to this restaurant often and always look forward to my next visit.
We enjoyed a memorable dinner. Food was prepared perfectly, ambiance is beautiful and cozy . Both of us enjoyed the appetizer, entrees and the wine. Would definitely recommend and hope to return.
This service was phenomenal as was the food!
Food is the best in town with great service. Always a treat.
A wonderful meal tonight. From the delicious bread with a head of roasted garlic, to the delightful intermezzo of passion fruit sorbet with a raspberry coulis to main entrees of succulent Osso Buco and Rack of Lamb, the evening meal was divine. Excellent cocktails. Delightful and attentive staff. We will back, Robin! Kudos to the chef!
Food was absolutely amazing! Very cute, small, and comfortable inside. Service took a bit but everything is cooked to order and it shows in the quality of food.
Beautiful and quiet! The service and food were amazing.
Sat outside in a brick courtyard, dinner was fabulous, service impeccable, we will certainly return for special nights out
Quiet and quaint. Just off the main boulevard. Food was excellent. Would go back again.
Visiting any St Augustine restaurant during Nights of Lights is always crazy busy, but you can count on Old City House to be a pleasant and quiet dining spot. Of course they were slammed at 7pm and it took awhile to get food, but the small staff did a wonderful job keeping us informed and the wine flowing. We had the olive and cheese platter to get things started ... very good. The crab bisque was was creamy and flavorful. There were four of us and our entrees were crab cakes, pork osso buco, rack of lamb and the surf & turf special which was half rack of lamb and four shrimp. Every meal was absolutely delicious. The only hiccup was my husband's rack of lamb was only warm. It was so perfectly cooked medium rare and I know they hated to try to heat it so they added more hot sauce on the top ... he's not a big fan of sauces. Other than that, a perfect dining experience!
Love this place! Great service and food! Sebastian was an awesome server!
Old City House for the win! Accommodated a late seating due to traffic and then dazzled us. Peggy was our informed and informative server. Great advice and better service. Every entree was perfect, from lamb, to duck, to swordfish. Appetizers were tasty. Good wine to pair with dinner. Cozy setting with a quiet charm. Enjoy!
This place was so good. Food and service was the best.
Cozy and romantic atmosphere followed by amazingly cooked food.
We celebrated my husband’s birthday there. It was beautifully decorated for Christmas.
They brought out bread with roasted garlic which was nice. The Ceviche appetizer was very tomato based, not lime, so that was a little disappointing. The escargot was not as flavorful as I had hoped.
The beet salad was very good. The crab soup was pretty good. The filet was tender. The risotto was very flavorful. The chicken Milanese was not noteworthy.
The service was good.
An amazing small Quaint restaurant with amazing food and great portions. Very tentative staff!! Will go back again.
Excellent restaurant with fantastic service! Will be back!
The food was fantastic and the service was great
Great meal. The only thing better than our meal was the quality of the service. Thanks Mack!
Everything was amazing, I will definitely be back soon - thank you so much!!
It was a great meal as always. Our favorite spot in town.
I eat here every time I’m in st Augustine. Gourmet food done right.
Great pre-concert meal!
Very intimate dining room, with attentive service and beautifully prepared and presented meals. From appetizers to dessert, each of our selections was delicious. We very much look forward to dining there again, and we highly recommend this cozy and friendly restaurant.
Great ambiance and a wonderful dining experience! I’d pass on the crab cocktail next time and get more crab bisque instead since it was so good we didn’t even get a picture lol.
Great service, very accommodating. My family loved the food and service. Robin was great.
Holidays sometimes adds louder than normal patrons, that night was no exception.
We arrived early for our reservation and were seated immediately.
Food was good and prices were reasonable. Nice presentation for all courses.
My wife’s 50th birthday
Birthday dinner, food took a very long time. Beef tenderloin was suppose to come with a diff side. Was served mash potatoes, wasn’t told they were out of original side nor did waiter ask.
Charming place to have dinner in Downtown St. Augustine. Staff was friendly and attentive and food was delicious. Will definitely come back.
It was a Saturday night bar and restaurant was full and I believe they were short staffed. Our waitress Katasi was super friendly
Horrible experience! We made a reservation way in advance and were seated promptly in the "garden" area.
It was nice but alittle bit chilly. However, one waiter was so loud and very unprofessional ~ he kept yelling back and forth. We waited SO long even the people next to us (done eating) commented to us.
Said our waitress was "interesting"--
Service NEVER got better through the whole experience. She would forget everything...water, her pad, her pen etc to name a few. She had to check to see what specials were and to see if there was vegetable lasagna left, which she told us 1 piece was still left after checking 45 minutes ago. My husband said "oh nevermind" but she insisted it would be great. Well, it was NOT. It was dry, crusty and old. He ate none of it and yet she didnt even comment. We would have gotten dessert, but were never asked. The women's restroom was closed all night too. The printer wasnt working and no one could read their bills. Tables were all complaining to each other about the whole experience. But the most incredible part...we ordered glasses of wine. Not until we ordered a second did we find out we'd been drinking a different brand than we ordered! She admitted it and hoped it was ok(?) Strange. We should have been told beforehand.
There are SO MANY places to dine... Try SOMETHING ELSE! This was our second and last try here. I feel like the fact it's "famous" they don't care. It ruined what was supposed to be a very special night for us.
Wait staff and food excellent. Checking for our reservation was not very smooth. The dining area was small and cozy. They appeared to have nice outdoor seating which I would try next time.
Have been to OCH many times--this is my 1st time back since COVID.
Food was very good--however, my daily special of 'flounder' was grouper [still good tho].
Service was slow, and disorganized--no greeter/hostess when we arrrived, and seemingly understaffed for an overly-full dining room. NO sign of ANY social distancing of tables--ok, when half empty--but unsafe when full [as it was half-way through the meal]. The decor/interior has changed from a warm cozy, dimly lit inn--to a now overly bright/white walls dining room.
I was disappointed in the changes, understaffed service, and no social distancing.
