There was NO social distancing. We had 29 people in the back room - too many to seat to enable social distancing. When we spoke with the manager, he said he is allowed to do seating at 100% capacity. Had we known, we would not have dined there. When we started to dine we were social distanced but the people just kept coming in. All the other restaurants we ate at had social distancing.

Excellent as always. Best on the island. Good by the glass wine selection too.

My wife and I celebrated our Anniversary and the entire evening was superb. The food was absolutely some off the best Italian food we have had since visiting Italy .

No reasonable indoor COVID precautions. Table spacing was inadequate and unacceptable. The number of people jammed together was alarming.

Too many customers. Too many large parties. Tables not socially distanced. We will not go back anytime soon. Very unfortunate because has been our favorite HH restaurant.

Simply fantastic as usual! The veal with seared foie gras was sumptuous and my wife had her usual the seared sea scallops...and as usual she was sublimely satisfied 😀

The best Italian restaurant in the Low-country area.

It was an amazing meal. The servings were more than a little generous and gourmet quality for sure.

Our waitress Jody was exceptional. My husband has a serious food allergy and she made sure the kitchen was informed and they tailored his meal. It was outstanding. Hats off to Jody and the Chef!

It was a late reservation for New Years with a special menu. By the time we got there, several items had sold out and the remaining items didn’t substantiate the price point.

Ombra is our favorite Italian restaurant. We've lived here for 7 years and Ombra is our go to Italian restaurant
Especially when we have guest from up north who think good Italian food is not available in our area

I wish we had found this restaurant sooner was we would have been back several times. I had one of the specials for the night, clams, mussels, calamari, scallops, shrimp, octopus, and lobster over spaghetti swimming in a delicious garlic-butter-wine sauce and I probably didn't say 10 words while I was eating it other than "this is so *ing delicious", I literally could have back the following day and ate the exact same thing! Our waitress (Jodi) was a dream as well with her caring, attentive, and down-to-earth demeanor. We'll ask for her when we come back and we will definitely make this one of our must-do locations when we visit the island next time! Absolutely loved it in case you can't tell :-)

We had a very good dinner at this restaurant. The server told us she was new, but was very accommodating and did a very good job explaining the specials and checked in on the service. The only complaint that I have is that we were enjoying an upscale meal at this restaurant and there were young people sitting next to us that had a ball hat on and jeans. I do believe restaurants need to enforce a dress code if they want to charge top dollar prices. When I spend $300 + on an elegant meal, I expect the establishment to enforce a proper dress code. Very dissatisfied.
I spoke to the Mgr on the way out & expressed our displeasure, and his response way well this is a vacation town and I guess you will have that. No, I strongly disagree. You only “have that” when you tolerate that bad etiquette. Will not return.

Fabulous food and wine, not that expensive, terrific service.

Almost all of our dishes were excellent. My veal chop was either a little tough or the knife they gave me was not the proper one to cut with. It did have a god flavor and cooked the way I had requested. I would absolutely go back there just for their molten chocolate cake.

We are not locals and this was our first time at the restaurant so I’m not sure how the tables were set up before. That being said, during theses COVID times, the table were spaced out but maybe still and little too close in the small room where we were seated. I know it’s tough for restaurants and I feel for them. The service nonetheless was excellent and the food speaks for itself.

Did not follow follow proper social distancing procedures which forced us to keep our outside reservation. Our favorite restaurant disappointed us.

We enjoyed a fantastic Christmas Eve 7 fish dinner. The family style platters were delicious and abundant. It felt like being at our family dinner. We were fortunate enough to be seated at a high top in the bar area where our bartender server took excellent care of us and added to our fun.

Outstanding, service (Gloria), authentic & tasty food, environment including social distancing, atmosphere. Many returns to come.

The food was good, service was okay. Social distance for dining was not good. There were too many people in one dining area, which exceeded the number of people per square feet.

On Hilton Head Island for the holidays and upon reading the reviews, decided to venture over to OMBRA Cucina for dinner. Needless to say, we were not disappointed! From the pasta fagioli to the spaghetti vongole to the orange sorbet, everything was amazing! Buon appetito!

Server was very good but the food took longer than usual to be served. Not his fault. A very loud party detracted from the ambiance of the evening. Food (Veal and Halibut) was excellent.

The food was outstanding as was the service and the surroundings.

Inconsistent food. We have been there many times, and were frankly disappointed by the so-so food. My spaghetti al vongole was tasteless, while the venison was good. By the way, the wine list has gotten worse. The selection of Italian wines, although varied, is riddled with inferior wines and are grossly overpriced, tariffs or not.

My wife has celiac disease and the gluten free options were what fist attracted us. The food and atmosphere were great. We would recommend this place to anyone.

We are locals and always go to Ombra for special occasions. It's the best Italian fare in the lowcountry, and always has been, always consistently excellent. Best beet salad I've ever had- and the most artfully composed. It goes without saying that the pasta, and all the other entrees we've ever tasted, are stellar. The service is always professional, friendly, and attentive. What more could one want, whether special occasion or not?

Dinner was absolutely fabulous! We went on our first date as a married couple. We started off with the burrata cheese appetizer special. I had the gluten free pasta with spinach, tomatoes, and clams which was excellent. My husband had the filet wrapped in prosciutto topped with the Gorgonzola cheese, which was his favorite meal of all time! We topped off our night with limoncello and their kaluha ice cream sundae! Totally recommend if you’re looking for a fancy Italian place with great service and even better food!
