Food and service was wonderful as usual. Ophelia's has always been a favorite!

Fried chicken had no spice or salt, very bland. Mashed potatoes were plain.

It was not my first time going to Ophelia's.I knew how good the food would be and how nice the surrounding s are.My wait staff was very nice and helpful and gave some great recommendations! I will be back!

Perfect spot for date night! Romantic and small, the food was very good.

My boyfriend and I came here for a date night on Saturday, we ordered from a pre fixe menu which we usually don’t do but we ended up loving everything ! We tried things we wouldn’t usually think to order and it was all prepared so well and great portion sizes. All three courses were timed perfectly as we don’t like to wait a long time between, our server was pleasant and attentive. We will for sure be dining there again.

The food was great

They called me after a reservation was made for 6:15pm . Told me set menu for inside but not on patio. I asked if there were flys on patio. Man said he had not been out on patio so he did not know. We elected to eat on patio to get wider menu option. My spouse asked what was the darkest beer they had. Female waitress said Tank 9. He ordered it. I wanted red wine asked which had cherry taste. She told me the Cabernet. I said I would take that. We ordered Brussels sprouts and then a Chateaubriand, ordered medium rare with Gorgonzola filling which came with broccoli and smashed potatoes. We were served the beer which was a light yellow color and the wine, which had no cherry flavor. We were served the Brussels sprouts which were cooked well but a little sweet. The beef was cooked medium , nothing rare about it. Plate not heated so everything became cold quickly. Potatoes were more than mashed more of a purée and had green beans in them. Maybe they had the Gorgonzola, sure didn’t find any in the meat.

No broccoli on plate. There were about 8 flies greedily eyeing our food. I was constantly waving my arms to fend them off. I complained to the waitress that the beer was not dark and we had green beans instead of broccoli. I told here she needed to inform customers of changes in food. She said the beer was the thickest like a dark, but she had not stated this previously. Beer was actually fine in taste. We ordered a lemon raspberry tiramisu for dessert, which should be premade and readily served. We waited about 15 minutes with waitress passing us twice. Spouse went in to check on dessert. They said they were making it. He said from scratch? They said yes. They stated they had more people order than they expected. They ended up not charging us for meal, but the waitress totally dropped the ball not communicating with us. They need to be more honest with customers.

My niece recommended the restaurant. So good. The young lady server made sure we had all we needed. I had the beef tenderloin taster. OMG. So very good. Mashed potatoes on the bottom, green beans and then the tenderloin. Pricey but worth every penny.

Enjoyed the food and atmosphere. The bread pudding was amazing

Ophelia’s had donated food for an ALS event we were at in KC on Friday night. We saw their brunch menu and decided to try it on our way home. We didn’t realize it was in Independence, but it was only 8 miles away from where we were staying. The town is adorable and brunch was a buffet or order off menu. We never do buffets but this was fabulous. Well worth the drive. We are foodies and it excellent. The desserts were soooo good.

Great food good service and great atmosphere.

I absolutely loved the duck dumplings they had during Valentine's. They need to make them a permanent item. I was upset they only had them 2 weeks.

Apps were amazing - B. Sprouts- must have. Chicken and Chorizo dip was yummy. After that, I was not impressed. And the service was slooooowwww!

Initial wine order was out of stock as was one of our entrees. The server was not aware of either being out of stock

I had my usual, but I also tried French Onion soup. The best French Onion soup I had ever had. My birthday dining companions also loved their meals of the Cubano and Club Sandwich. We finished up with the wonderful Lemon-Blueberry Bread Pudding. Always great, and yet always special. It was a great birthday lunch with family. Thank you.

Went for Brunch. Good selection of food and desserts. Website said 20.00 for Brunch but it turned out to be 23.00. That should be made more clear on their website. All in all a good dining experience. We’ll go back.

Our server Spencer was very knowledgeable and not pushy when me or my wife asked a question about a menu item. GREAT FOOD!! We would go back with no problem!! Excellent experience

I meet a girlfriend here every so often. We always have great food and service. I wasn’t in the mood for my usual salad so I chose tomato basil soup and 1/2 of a club sandwich. Perfect on a cool day.

We think Ophelia's is one of the best restaurants in metro KC. A must visit!!!

Yet another fantastic experience at Ophelia's. Chef Bobby's Shrimp and Grits is amazing! And the Apple Bourbon Pork Belly is delicious and may be the best value on the menu. Ophelia's is at the top of our Go To list of places, and tonight was no exception. See you again soon!

Our waiter was fantastic. He was very knowledgable and attentive. The setting is cozy and very nicely decorated. Our food was delicious, even if some of the serving sizes are smaller than preferred.

Found though Restaurant Week. And so glad I did. Great spot for dinner. Not sure how I never came across this restaurant before. Wonderful atmosphere. Nice selection of drinks. Menu looked good. Beef Wellington was delicious. On my list to visit much more often.

Food was amazing, the wait staff was friendly and very helpful. Loved the entire experience.

Had our Valentine’s Day dinner date Saturday the 15th. Made a reservation online only about 5 hrs ahead of time. We were seated promptly and received outstanding service. The atmosphere was great for date night. The guitarist providing live music was very enjoyable and at a volume that still allowed tabletop conversation at a normal speaking volume. We had an appetizer, entrees, desert, and sampled a few cocktails from the drink menu and everything was delicious. We plan to return for another date night and also look forward to trying out the brunch.

This is going to be one of the places we will miss the most when we relocate. Just right portions, incredible flavor, great presentation and excellent service.

My husband and I were celebrating 37 years of marriage and also Valentines Day.

Our server Spencer was a blast, but very professional. Food was amazing. Great liquor selection. Get the pumpkin biegnets if they have them!!! The teens we had with us loved the SPA menu items and the chocolate tasting plate.

We recommend this restaurant all the time. nice and relaxing dinner. The food and drinks are good!

Wonderful restaurant, terrific food, nice setting, and the guitar player was excellent.

Great place

My wife and I ate lunch at Ophilia’s.
I ordered the Bison burger, and my wife ordered from the Spa portion of the menu. We also had the Portabelo appetizer.
All was delicious and cooked to perfection.
We topped lunch off with the chocolate sampler, and coffee.
The chocolate overwhelmed us. It was to die for. We shall definitely be back.

First time at Ophelias and it was exceptional. We will definitely be back to try the rest of the hard to select which one you want menu.
