Good experience overall. Service was excellent. Had to return a steak that was ordered as medium and came out rare. When it was returned, it was still medium rare. That was the only complaint. Very nice atmosphere!

We were dining for my wife’s birthday. We were greeted and my wife was wished a happy birthday as soon as we gave our name. They seated us in a beautifully appointed dining room. The waiter was supper attentive and provided great recommendations. Our meal was superb. Everything was cooked exactly to our liking. One of the most impressive parts of our experience was the timing! We were not rushed and our meal was delivered at an appropriate pace. Not once were we needing to ‘cram’ the last bites of a course because the next had already arrived, nor were we left wondering if they had forgotten about us. We were visited by the dining room manager on multiple occasions, “just to check” on us. It truly was a memorable experience and we would highly recommend for any occasion.

We celebrated my wife’s birthday at Opus 9 last week. We were warmly greeted and taken to a cozy room complete with a fireplace.

We often go there for lunch. There "12 for under $12.00" is a good buy and there are other lunch choices from only a few dollars more. Highly recommend.

Our server, Travis, was superb. Kept the meal well paced. Attentive to needs; e.g., refilling iced tea. Food fine and wine plummy.

Everything was cooked perfectly and tasted amazing. A bit pricey but you definitely get what you pay for! Definitely worth it.

Everything was excellent. In recent months, the quality at other restaurants has really slipped due to all the restrictions that they've had to live with. Opus 9 is the exception. Everything about the food, service, etc. was excellent, as it has always been. I fully recognize the difficulties restaurants are having so it was a delightful surprise that the experience at Opus 9 was unchanged.

The whole experience was amazing. We aren’t local and traveled for my birthday. The resort staff recommended the restaurant for an adult birthday dinner. The ambiance was very inviting and upscale. The food and wait staff were 5/5. Definitely will return anytime we travel to Williamsburg. I told so many other guest at the resort about the restaurant if they were looking for an adult dinner venue. Definitely glad we decided to make a reservation.

It was quiet, in a room, which I had no traffic, the service was great and the food outstanding.

let me first start by saying our server Karyna was amazing. Our food not so great this time. Three plates out of the 5 of us had be return and a forth would have too but I just wanted to eat my food. The first plate the steak was good well done with no color when he ask for med. The second and third plates the hollandaise sauce was as thick a water and the poached eggs were hard boiled. The four plate (my plate) I asked for rare and it came out med with no color on the steak it was gray looking. After getting the three plates back 2 of them had to be sent back again. The second and third plates the poached eggs weren't done correctly, they were still over cooked. At this point my husband was done and said he didn't want them to retry it. But our friend had to wait for her plate to come back out. By the third time and everyone else had finished their food she finely got her plate back and it was done correctly. This is the 2nd time we done brunch here and we were very disappointed in the food. But again I do want to say that our server Karyna was amazing. I would recommend Opus 9 for dinner I am not so sure about brunch right now.

Wonderful aroma upon entering establishment. Menu selections were all appealing. We choose the chateaubriand for two. The meat was amazingly tender and flavorful. Next time we are in Williamsburg we shall return

Opus never disappoints. celebrated my birthday and had a wonderful meal.

Seafood pasta sausage was primarily bread with very little seafood.

Food and service was great just felt we could have been spread out a little more with so many open tables.

This was our first time at Opus 9, and we will definitely go back. Our meal, service, and atmosphere were spectacular. Thank you, Donna Adkins

We enjoy the 12 for 12 offers and were passing through Williamsburg on way to Norfolk and decided to grab a bite on New Year’s Eve day. Seated at a nice booth and proceeded to enjoy when the woman and man at a nearby booth began a conversation on their cell using speakerphone. Really. A nice restaurant for lunch and they thought that was acceptable? I was pleasantly surprised I did not need to ask the manager to address the issue...a woman quietly stopped at their table and in a very professional, unobtrusive way talked to the woman. We knew what the woman was doing and applaud her approach to the situation. I was very pleased I did not need to ask someone on staff to handle the issue. And, it made all the difference to us in our dining experience. Our lunch meal was very good, and our service by George was a delight. Thank you, Opus, for being on top of your game in every way. Kudos!

Food was good. I really enjoy the lunch fried catfish, single small filet with green beans and mashed sweet potato, costing $12.00. Interior of restaurant getting a bit dated and in need of updating. I would recommend the Lunch $12 and Under Menu to friends and family.

Such a beautiful place! Our server was Cody, and he did an exceptional job of explaining options as well as keeping an eye on us without hovering.

What a first visit experience! We absolutely fell in love with this place. The staff treated us with such respect and courtesy we were simply joyed. The manager was so friendly and made us feel like family. Our meals was succulent to say the least. Well prepared, prepared just right, and very tasty. We are definitely going back!

One of my favorite restaurants here in southern Virginia. Very nice, quiet atmosphere ... great service ... excellent food and wine. We had the chateaubriand for two, my wife enjoys the french onion soup and I had a caesar salad. The chocolate volcano dessert is excellent.

My only criticism of Opus is their dress code, or lack thereof. I want this to be the upscale restaurant they appear to be, however while we dressed appropriately for a Christmas dinner, several other customers came into the restaurant wearing jeans. A couple of the women came in wearing tattered jeans. For a restaurant that asks patrons to remove their hats, allowing this type of clothing should not be acceptable.

Perfect spot for Christmas Eve dinner with our sons. Everything was delicious. Glad we passed on appetizers because the steak and sides was plenty. And then throw on dessert. You could cut the filet with a fork it was so tender. We will definitely eat here again.

Our meal was very good however the bone in filet was not as good as the times I have ordered it previously. Our waiter was excellent and the rest of the dinner was very good

Oscar 9 tasted terrible. I was there for steaks, not for sauces.

Terrific restaurant and they handle Covid requirements with ease.

As always, the service was outstanding as well as the food. How the chefs always get everything so perfect I do not know. The only thing I have to say negative is that the chicken pot pie was not seasoned enough for me. I am sure they, as all restaurants, need to keep the salt down. We were treated there by a neighbor and she even ended up giving us a $50 gift card. This is my wife’s favorite upscale restaurant in Williamsburg.

Wonderful atmosphere, excellent service, and delicious food! Best place in town for a celebration dinner.
