Oriole

We experienced Oriole on the last night of indoor dining in Chicago. At every moment of the night, I felt the staff put every ounce of effort into their work. The service and food were exceptional. It truly is clear it’s an environment where everyone collectively wants the night to succeed. It will be a long winter but I can’t wait to return when things get better. Sincerely amazing.

Amazing food, service and ambiance. But not quite worth it.

Simply, an incredible dining experience. The food is about as good as you will ever experience and the service is also top-notch. This is definitely a place that should be on any foodies list. The dining room is simple which allows the food to be the star of the show. My wife is a vegetarian and they did an excellent job of accommodating her.

Not only is the food exceptional, but the service is lovely. Oriole offers an elevated dining experience that is personable, intimate and on point. We thoroughly enjoyed all flavors and aesthetics, and look forward to dining here again in the future (may we be so lucky). To be honest, I woke up thinking about several of the dishes the following morning. 100.

Fantastic in every way

An amazing experience and a great job by the team to make my wife and I feel very safe in these strange times. The menu is very inventive, diverse and of course, delicious. The Wine pairings are on point and are recommended for sure. Worth a visit for sure!

Our dinner at Oriole was outstanding. Every dish was a different and expertly designed work of art. The creativity and skill demonstrated in each otherworldly course did not stop at the food. From the moment we stepped from the alley and into the unusual freight elevator, we encountered thoughtfulness and attention to detail that I’ve not experienced anywhere else. I highly recommend Oriole!

Oriole remains our #1 restaurant in Chicago, though several other are only small notches behind and we haven't tried Ever yet. The food that Chef Sandoval and his team creates is sublime—amazing layers of aroma, flavor, and texture that never fight, but create beautiful melodies and harmonies. The staff is warm, knowledgeable, and a joy to have around. The new, post-lockdown menu is as good, perhaps better, than any from before. Sadly, the capacity is greatly restricted by current health and safety requirements, but they will eventually be back to full capacity and more people can enjoy this great restaurant.

First time indoor dining during COVID restrictions. The new dishes were superb - clearly Noah Sandoval has used the time off to create more than just fabulous new pizza! The safety precautions made this our first choice for a dine in experience. For years we have celebrated birthdays and anniversaries here so we didn't want to skip an October birthday. So happy to see them back. Go now! Because in a short time they are going to be doing a two month shut down while they handle a refresh/renew of their space. Always worth every penny. #loveyouguys

This was our second time dining at Oriole and folks, it's true... Lightning does strike twice. From the moment we entered the restaurant to the door closing behind us we were made to feel welcome and at home by a knowledgeable and friendly staff. During a challenging period for dining out the Oriole team clearly put thought and care into the entire experience and went above and beyond to adapt and accommodate preferences. We are big fans of the restaurant and can't wait to return.

Best restaurant in chicago

We felt extremely safe in the restaurant. The lanyard for clipping onto the mask is a great idea - like managing reading glasses - and the personal hand sanitizer bottles were thoughtful. The food was extraordinary - could not pick a favorite - and just right the quantity. The printed explanations of each course and the wine parings were most helpful and minimized staff time at the table. Compared to some other very high end restaurants, the food price was reasonable. The wine pairing, while very good, was a bit overpriced though. We look forward to returning, probably before the menu changes.

Oriole never disappoints but this time they were over the top outstanding! Every course was spot on. The adjustments they made to keep everyone safe did not interrupt the fine dining experience. Thank you again for an amazing meal!

We absolutely loved Oriole! The food was so tasty & the staff was very welcoming and accommodating. Ask ahead a few days for the vegetarian menu, you won't be disjointed!

I dined at Oriole in 2016 - the year they opened - with a friend. We knew then that they'd receive a Michelin star. Surprise, they have 2! Anyway, I finally returned a few nights ago to celebrate getting married. I did a pescetarian menu, though I am aware that the Wagyu dish is life-altering. Everything about the journey is perfect - from when you arrive, to the recommendations, to the food itself. We thank the staff of Oriole for a memorable evening. And also a huge thank you to the wonderful table next to us, who we found had left the best gift ever, when the bill arrived! Still a top 5 dining experience.

Great inventive menu and wonderful service. Good for small numbers and foodies. Menu and wine is expensive, but on par for their status.
