My wife ordered the Ossobuco. The waiter came back after a while and said there was one serving left but "the computer" wouldn't let him order with only one remaining, so we needed to have it served right away. We had just sat down and didn't want the main course immediately, so he said he would make it work. Here's what that meant: we received our salad shortly after, then after few minutes our drinks came. (Really would have preferred the drinks first and a little time to enjoy just being there.) We were just getting into our salads and drinks, when the entrees came. A few minutes after that came the warm bread. The whole meal felt rushed and out of order. What kind of restaurant allows "the computer" to dictate when the patrons have to be served their entrees?? The whole experience was just lame. Aside from that, the food was reasonably good. I had the crab stuffed white shrimp - the crab and shrimp lacked any flavor, but the pasta and sauce were fantastic.

Our server Mark was fantastic and was a class act from start to finish! He made a great time even better!! KUDOS to Mark! That man deserves a raise! ✔️🫡

Our usual date night appetizers of fried ravioli & caprese salad came quickly which we shared. My wife chose the Halibut Parmesian with potatoes substituted for the normal starch. I had my favorite, the Rockfish, which I think is the best rockfish preparation in Anchorage. Server Mark made double-sure with my wife and the cook that her food allergies were taken care of. For dessert, the Lemon Almond Cake was tempting as we watched it go by to another table, but had to defer as our meal had left no room for more. We recommend ORSO highly for a date night event.

Our waiter Mark was extremely enthusiastic. However. The food was just fair. Fresh. But uninspired. My first (and only) cocktail of the evening came 30 minutes after my husband’s and AFTER my entree arrived. They are affiliated with the brewery next door, Glacier Brew House. We ate there the following night. It far surpasses ORSO in food and drink selection, ambience, and service. Just go to Glacier. You’ll be glad you did.

Went here for dinner on our last night in Anchorage. We noticed the restaurant and menu while we were walking around Anchorage the prior two days. Made a reservation and mentioned it was our Anniversary. When we were seated there was an Anniversary card with the menus and dessert was decorated as well. Staff was very attentive and professional, and the food was delicious.
