Really enjoyed the food and the service was great I would come back again
Dinners were delicious! Great atmosphere!
The food was amazing. Everyone raved about their meal! Setting was lovely. Noise was a bit much. Had to shout across the table at my elderly guest. Service was a bit slow - but it was a Saturday and it was crowded, but somehow the desserts were slow in coming. We had a long drive home (1.5 hours) so perhaps the wait seemed longer as we wanted to get on the road. Would definitely revisit this restaurant - if for nothing else but the food! This visit was a birthday celebration and the meal was memorable! Thank you!
good reliable eastern shore food...never disappointed
Excellent meal. We went there for our 38th wedding anniversary and it was great. Good food, good people and good service. Not cheap but you do get what you pay for and it is not overpriced for what you get and relatively speaking. Definitely recommend.
This is a nice little restaurant located with an inn and marina. The food has always been good and service excellent. Recommend reservations, as it has been busy several times that we have visited over the years.
The overall experience here was awesome. It exceeded our expectations. My wife’s salmon was out standing. My duck was supposed to be medium rare. It was raw in some areas which was disappointing but the flavor was outstanding. The old colonial style home that housed the restaurant was a treasure I wish we lived closer so we could be frequent diners. Our was waitress was an older oriental woman who never missed a beat
Always high quality choices with friendly and efficient service. Very good bar selection. Crab cakes as good as anywhere on Eastern Shore
We dine here about 2 to 3 times a year as transient boat guests. The food is always first rate, the service is spot on and the quant historic Inn is a treasure. We have never been disappointed and will continue to come back every year for this wonderful experience.
Wonderful restaurant with excellent food. Located at the Osprey Point Marina. Serves dinner only. There is a full bar as well, great for an elevated dining experience in Rock Hall.
We went to Rock Hall for our anniversary, and both Open Table and several proprietors of lodging establishments recommended Osprey Point for our anniversary dinner. Perhaps we hit a bad night. It was not just disappointing, but downright awful.
The historic building is located at a lovely marina. We had the good sense to watch a beautiful sunset from the dock before going inside. Unfortunately, the parking lot is located between the Inn and the water, so the windows in front offer a view of the cars. This does not matter much, since only one table is placed to offer guests a marina view–and that one is right across from the bar, which dominates the room. The restaurant clearly caters to folks from the marina, which is fine. But it is far from romantic.
I had indicated the anniversary on our reservation, and it was confirmed in a phone call. When we arrived, no one paid any attention. We were put at a table that was relatively private, with a view of the kitchen door, next to a large round table with six loud talkers.
Excellent (or even pretty good) food might have compensated for the decor and the noise. Despite the hype, the food was below mediocre. Our fried oyster appetizer was made with plump oysters, but the breading was bland. It took two requests and then getting up to reinforce the message to get some lemon. It helped.
The main course was not much better. It is hard to ruin (supposedly) fresh rockfish. They managed. My wife’s dinner consisted of an appetizer-size piece that was overcooked and dry. This time the lemon did not do much to help. When we complained, the server offered to bring something else, but it did not seem worth the time or risk. Rather than calling a manager, she informed us that no one had ever complained before. My scallops were fine, and the mushroom rissoto had plenty of mushrooms, though the rice was the consistency of grits.
We decided not to risk dessert. We enjoyed two excellent meals in Rock Hall, but both were at aterman's.
Love Osprey Point Inn! A touch of Williamsburg on the Eastern Shore. All aspects of our stay were enjoyable, and the restaurant was a nice surprise. Variety and quality of food was excellent, fresh, and well presented. We look forward to a return visit.
Terrific service and delicious meal. 8 of us for special bday celebration and everything was wonderful
Fine dining at inn overlooking the bay and harbor. Cuisine is a cut above usual island fare, well prepared and served promptly. Wine selection was reasonably diverse for bottles, somewhat less so by the glass. Nice quiet dinner for the last night there? Perfect.
We loved our meal a few weekends ago. My husband and I were celebrating our anniversary and we’re staying at another nearby inn. The setting of the restaurant is beautiful. We enjoyed sitting out on the back porch overlooking the pond. All the food we had was delicious. I had the filet and it was one of the most tender steaks I’ve had. My husband enjoyed his scallops. When I made the reservation I indicated we’d be celebrating our anniversary and they provided us with free glasses of champagne! We definitely want to return!
Our second visit to Osprey Point in the last 30 days. We found it as rewarding as the first. Service was prompt, courteous and friendly. Our meal was properly prepared and quite good. If you go (and I recommend that you do) keep in mind that life moves in the slow lane on the Eastern Shore, so early evening reservations are recommended.
Food and service were terrific. Celebrated our anniversary there and the dinner was amazing!
We love this place. Food has been terrific each time we’ve come. I didn’t give this a full five stars as it is very difficult to get in if you are wheelchair bound.
Very nice setting, excellent food. We'll return for special occasions.
Normally very good. Service was terrible. 40 min. To get a drink and salad. Main course came out quickly after that.
Vacation dinner for two
We had a wonderful dinner, loved the ambiance, will definitely go back!
We were at Osprey Marina on our boat because we wanted to have a nice dinner at the Inn
It was very nice and the food was very good
Great food w creative menu
Dinner was a mixed bag. The calamari appetizer and the salad were good. My ribeye steak while cooked perfectly was tender in some parts and tough in others. The scallops were small and the bacon totally overwhelmed them. There were only 4 and the risotto was plentiful but kind of gloppy. Drinks were excellent and service was prompt and friendly. All in all overpriced for quality of food.
A very pleasant dining experience!
Have dined at Osprey Point many times and it is always a very pleasant experience.
Friendly, experienced servers; excellent food and setting
The restaurant was lovely and our dinner was very good. Our problem was with the wait staff. We had a reservation and the hostess said there are 3 tables for two, just pick one...I thought the hostess would have
seated my husband and myself. We had quite a wait for our server who definitely was not outgoing about
the menu. A couple seated quite a bit later then ourselves were served their appetizers before us. (They
had the same server...) No sooner did we finish our appetizers then the dinner appeared?? Waited quite awhile for dessert and were not asked if we would like coffee or tea. When the wait staff brought our
bill we received a "Oh yeh, thanks." I would recommend the Osprey Point with the caveat to beware of
Dinner was fantastic, and the service was perfect. My wife asked for a special drink that was only available at the pool bar. Without missing a beat, our server sent someone out to get one for her. It would have been easy to just say that it wasn’t available. Going the extra mile to make our evening special means a lot.
This is a great place for an intimate meal. The food was amazing. Best calamari I’ve ever had. An overall lovely place.
Lovely place and the food was fantastic. Service was prompt but from sometimes difficult to get the servers attention as it became busier while we were there. Can't ask for nicer people!
Loved everything about our evening!
Dinning is enjoyable here as the restaurant is quite good and the scenery at the marina and Chesapeake Bay is nice.
There were six of us for dinner. The food was outstanding. Loved the Thai salmon and the spicy tuna steaks. Service was pleasant but a little haphazard. With so many of us, another server might have been helpful. (Felt bad for our server having to haul over drinks one or two at a time.). The atmosphere was very pleasant. We'll definitely come again.
As always, Osprey Point Restaurant is the place to go to dine; Food, Service, Ambiance and Courteous, welcoming staff ensure an enjoyable evening to relax and savor the food and drink you choose.
Outstanding food, ate there two times during our stay both excellent
Osprey Point is located in an attractive building that is part of the Inn and Marina. It has a solid menu and the service was efficient. We were there early, so the restaurant wasn't very crowded, but I believe that it would still be fairly quiet even when full.
Dinner was excellent. I had delicious scallops wrapped in bacon and my friend had crabcakes, all crab. The ambiance was just right, not too fancy, but not too casual. Service was great. Highly recommend.
