Great value in comfortable environment. Recommend for a good meal.
Excellent service, delicious food - I would definitely go back again and again.
My wife and I enjoyed our food. It was a romantic getaway.
We often go to Osteria Avanti for special family occasions. We were married at The Inn and typically experience top notch service and excellent food; however, we were disappointed this visit (my husband’s birthday). Hopefully this will not become their norm because they are truly a local gem.
Food was OKAY, but not up to expectations with the exception of the mussels which were very good. The risotto w/ tenderloin tips was a bit ‘gluey’, the tips were over-cooked despite requests for medium rare, and we were hard-rested to find anchovies in our Caesar salad.
My boyfriend and I have dined at Osteria Avanti three times now, and it NEVER disappoints! The food is always delicious, plentiful, and we never have to wait very long. The wait staff is fantastic and attentive. We truly love coming to the Inn and eating at Osteria Avanti! We will definitely be back!
We must have gone on an off night. Usually everything is great, but Sunday night left something to be desired. Our server didn't check in on us thru out our meal to see if we needed drink refills of wanted to add anything to our meal like dessert. The food was good however they were sold of of the Olives and Almonds appetizer, very upsetting. Hopefully the next time will be back to what we expect from them.
The food was very good, the service was slow (only one waiter during a holiday weekend), and the poor hostess was working her absolute hardest to be helpful. I'm not sure if they had just changed their name but all the signs had the name of a completely different restaurant, which was strange. I would definitely come back, and I totally recommend staying at the Inn as well (it was perfect)!
The service was awful! 1 server for 9 tables. Unacceptable! Would not come back!
What a great find! The entire experience was lovely. From the moment we stepped in to the welcoming ambiance, greeted by cordial, professional staff till our departure we enjoyed a culinary delight. We were so impressed that we are planning a return to the Leola inn to spend the night and experience Te.
My review is heavily influenced by the pricing and past experience. My wife and I have stayed at Inn at Leola a few times and we’ve dined at this restaurant maybe three times. But I think the restaurant’s style of food changed. Not really sure but it used to be Italian. In the past the restaurant was very good. This time: appetizers good, soup all but cold, steak very average, veggie not tasty. Dessert was good. The decor to me seems austere and monkish. Waiter was very good. We were seated by the somewhat drafty door even though many interior tables were free. Basically, if it was $30 a plate I would probably be ok. But at nearly $60 a plate I just expect a lot better.
The seating for us was really weird. We were expecting a cozy table for 2. My husband sat on a bench seat and I was on a chair which was higher than he was. Which was awkward for us My steak was to be medium rare with no blood , and it had a lot of blood coming out of it. It was still moving. Didn't feel the size of the seabass was worth what we paid. The portion was not huge. We had requested the older gentleman to be our server and that didn't happen. Was disappointed overall.
Morgan made us a perfect espresso martini and Alejandro was an amazing server! We had such a nice dinner and can’t wait to come back for another meal.
Excellent service and food at a very reasonable price. The atmosphere was great.
EVERYTHING was EXCELLENT!!! Alexander was the perfect server (as were his suggestions) and the food was delicious! A perfect birthday celebration was had! I will continue to patronize this WONDERFUL restaurant!!!
Food and atmosphere was very good, same as the previous time we were here. It is a very small and intimate space, maybe 10 small tables in total. One of the guests was extremely loud, everyone else could hear everything being said; plenty of eye rolls going around. Not the fault of the restaurant, I understand, and little that can be done. It is what can be great, and also a curse when in such an intimate setting.
Before we arrived, we looked online at the menu options. There was also a menu listed in the room at Leola Inn, so we also looked at the printed menu there, and there were differences between those 2 menus. When we arrived and saw the actual menu at the restaurant, it too was different than the other 2 we had seen. This restaurant needs to learn document control, and to maintain symmetry in what they have out there. Additionally, in the room it is stated that dining guests must wear a jacket. That was not stated anywhere else, and there were exactly zero guests wearing a jacket when we dined.
We appreciate your feedback and are glad you enjoyed most elements of the dining experience. We have two restaurants at the Inn, and both menus, as well as a room service menu, are available in our hotel rooms. One restaurant, TE, is only open on Fridays and Saturdays. It's available by reservation only, and that restaurant requires gentleman to wear jackets. Our restaurants require some decision making prior to your visit, but we like to have variety for your second and third stay.
Fiancee and I went here for NYE, our meal was exquisite! Service was 5 stars and the ambiance was delightful. Definitely one of the best restaurants in Lancaster County!
Loved our dinner there. The only issue I had was actually finding it! Service was the best and the food was amazing. You will enjoy a nice dinner there!
We took my mother in law for Christmas dinner. The menu was limited. They put us in a cold bright banquet hall which was a real let down after eating in the regular restaurant a couple years ago for Mother’s Day. The food was good but the ambiance was horrible.
Christmas and Christmas Eve
A nice menu, limited for Christmas Day. My vegetarian entree was absolutely delicious, but the swordfish entree was rather dry and lackluster. The reason for 4 stars was the fish (for a pricey entree) being so-so and the portions could have been larger. Bruschetta was very good. I still really enjoy thus cozy littls restaurant very much. Interesting dishes and nice ambiance.
So pleased they were open on Christmas for a very enjoyable family dinner.
We went here for Christmas Dinner. The menu was limited, but there was certainly something for everyone from Filet Mignon, Chicken, Ham, Lamb and a vegetarian option. There was a nice selection of appetizers and 3 desserts to choose from. I had the chicken. It was absolutely delicious with the sauce of blue cheese. My husband had the ham and he was impressed. Both were bone in, which I prefer. We had the chocolate dessert which was delicious. There was a nice wine list as well. Our server was efficient. We definitely will go back! The prices were average for the type of meal that was provided.
Celebrated a birthday at Osteria Avanti. The mushroom risotto was great. Service was excellent.
Wonderful meals by all four of us with attentive service to match.
The food and music were amazing. Granted we were there late, but we had a private space, perfect for our date. The service was wonderful and so was the food. I don't eat dessert but the torta di nocci had me eating it!
Great food!!! Warm, inviting, and great service as well!
This is our second year doing the Girls Getaway. We will be back again next year.
Came early so no noisy, table legs a bit awkward . Not sure I like copper tops . Table cloth prefered
Great service! Everything was delicious. Please bring back the fennel pasta!
Our server on Sunday, Nov. 3rd at 5pm was terrific. She was pleasant and timely. We were the only ones in the dining room, and I appreciate the patience she had with my 5 year old.
The food was absolutely fantastic and the portions were generous. The service was warm, friendly, professional and relaxed. The ambience was quiet to permit great conversation. I cannot wait to go back!
Nice Italian restaurant. Fantastic and unusually spiced butternut squash soup. Decadent cacio e pepe. Excellent pumpkin gelato. Hard to locate it as it’s in the Inn at Leola Village but there’s no signage outside. Worth finding it though!
The swordfish was tasteless so check taste for yourself and pat me on the back if agree???? the recipe for the swordfish was also poor (the sauce used) risotto ok. Caesar salad was not gourmet if intended. Loved the bread and wife loved overpriced chardonnay (not oaky one)! My intention is only to help but I prefer warmth of tablecloth. 3 other or 4 tables present but a loud wedding may be the distracrtion! for cook or chef????
The service here was excellent. Very attentive at the bar and the restaurant. Food was spotty - some items great, others not so good. While the ambiance was good, the fact that there were only the four of us in the whole place made us wonder what was wrong with the place! Maybe some marketing would help.
Lovely Inn and restaurant!!! Delicious, generous servings in a charming setting.
our waiter, Mike was outstanding. He was working Sat. Sept. 14th and was just an amazing professional.
Osteria Avanti didn't disappoint because it generally reflected the on-line reviews I had read in advance. The food was good but not great, but the service was outstanding. The kitchen was very accommodating to our special requests. The food is an outstanding bargain considering the setting, and the wine selection is superior.
The food was authentic and creative
