Pascal's Manale

Food was good but the special was Drum and the sauce was not to my liking otherwise I would have given higher ratings. The sauce was the same as the use for the barbeque shrimp plate but something was off. The cost was also $36 so I thought it would have been better. We also had the crab cake special and it was absolutely delicious.
I've been here many times, however this time was more exceptional than others. The food was excellent, service was superb and the atmosphere was festive. This will continue to me one of my top favorites in New Orleans!
Outstanding service and the food is wonderful! Don’t miss the opportunity to dine at this gem of a restaurant!!
Awesome dinner!
The daily fresh fish was wonderful, beautifully prepared and served. Fried oyster appetizer was divine. Michael was the best server, helpful & pleasant. Ambiance is cozy and gracious, quiet and comforting even during pandemic.
We too often pass up our New Orleans icons for the next glitzy restaurant. This place is organic New Orleans deep with roots and a sense of timelessness amongst all the transient sparkle. Go back. The bar tenders, shuckers and staff are “sweethearts” in a New Orleans only way.
Once being seated, it did take a while to be greeted by our server. We sat for 4-5 minutes without menus. Our server was friendly and service was prompt once we were greeted, however the soup I ordered was only slightly warmer than room temperature when served. Everything else was delicious, and it was fun to visit such an iconic New Orleans staple.
Calamari served with ketchup, stuff shrimp hard n crunchy.
BQ shrimp was tasty as always. Very disappointed.
A very pleasant dining experience. Good quality food. Sufficient portions. Donna's service was prompt and attentive. A great, nat'rally N'awlins dine out.
As always, awesome and classic
Happy New Year! We celebrated NYE at one of the best century old restaurants in New Orleans and was not disappointed. Everything we ordered was fresh, well seasoned and served piping hot with care. We especially enjoyed the Combination Pan Roast and Oysters Rockefeller appetizers. Cocktails were also great and the wine was served with a generous pour. I highly recommend Pascal’s Manale for lunch, dinner or any occasion. Go now, you won’t be sorry.
Food was not tasty at all being this was the 1st location we visit upon arrival today. We were referred to this location by a friend who lived her 16 years ago as one of their favorite restaurants to visit
Our service was impeccable, the food was absolutely delicious, I always enjoy going to Pascal’s when I’m in New Orleans
It’s a must for all.
I have eaten there many times before. I rave about the shrimp, still good though. This time my wife and I both feel that it wasn't quite as good as the past. Bread pudding exceptional. Service as good as always. Will still be back even though we moved out of state. Worth the drive.

Pleasantly surprised. Hadn’t been in decades. Decore hadn’t changed and could be freshened, but the food was good and service excellent.
Wow! Not sure why it took me this long to visit this New Orleans landmark. It did not disappoint! Both the shrimp and grits, and fried oysters w/penne pasta were excellent! Will be back!
All of our entrees were great except the Oysters Pan Roast.
Sent it back. Didn’t taste good. It is one of my favorites. Very disappointed.
Pascal’s has always been a favorite of mine with nothing but 5 stars in the past. All else was terrific but the black drum entree was disappointing, hard to describe but we both had and both left half it on plate.
Covid casualty. No atmosphere without customers.
Pascal Manales is an institution in New Orleans. A place of history, great food and wonderful people! Make sure you say hello to Uptown T at the front for some oysters
The most consistent restaurant I know. Service and Food are top notch. I have never had a bad meal at this restaurant and I have eaten there many times over many years. The Shrimp Fra Diavalo is the best in the World.
Casual atmosphere, truly excellent service, high quality and delicious food. This was the ONLY place I've ever been where the oysters on the half shell were completely free of shell bits. We had a party of 5, each one of our entrees were scrumptious, from seared catfish and lemon butter/crab sauce, stuffed shrimp, shrimp & grits, fried oysters, to Mediterranean shrimp pasta - all delectable!
Classic dishes (I had the signature barbecue shrimp) served with great elan by an attentive wait staff. The details make the experience: a simple wedge salad is made memorable by the in-house blue cheese dressing. A real neighborhood gem!
We had a great experience. The food was great a filling. The decor could use an update but the restaurant is hanging onto its roots. It’s been around for over 100 years so I can understand it. We were on the big dining area due to COVID and social distance. I never felt unsafe or like they weren’t following protocols. I do hope there isn’t another lockdown because New Orleans needs these old establishments to survive and many are barely hanging on by a thread. Exercise patience and understanding. Thank you for making our night out fun and special.
We had not been to Pascal's in years. Decided to do an old traditional New Orleans spot on this visit, and were glad we did. First of all, I love the place. Great old pictures on the walls. Many rooms as it is a converted house. Tables were adequately spaced. We started with the crabcakes, which were excellent and split a combination remoulade salad (crabmeat and shrimp). My wife got the Veal Gambere and I ordered the Frutta Del Mare. Our meal was terrific. Glad we decided to go back!!!
So bad, I don’t know how they been in business for so long
We have been there many times when the previous owner had it whenever we come to New Orleans. This time our waiter was horrible he was rushing around past us throwing things on the table practically... pouring some water and spilling it everywhere and then just left it like that. Never made eye contact he was one of the worst waiters I have ever had in New Orleans. The bus boy Francisco I believe was his name was excellent he acted like what a true waiter should Be like. They need to train him to be the waiter and get rid of the other guy I do not know his name. Also the nice quiet classy atmosphere was definitely gone this time. There were loud drunk people in both corners of the room overall it was a terrible experience for my family I doubt we will be going back to pascals so sorry that the family that owned it had to sell it. We ate at commanders palace the night before... pascals used to be pretty much on the same level of service and atmosphere. Not anymore.
our waiter michael was awesome
One of my all time favorite restaurants...Missy, in the bar, is wonderful... Everything about this place, is 5 stars!
Service was absolutely fantastic, and dinner was delicious. I highly recommend the Shrimp Fra Diavolo. My daughter got the chicken and it was delicious. My husband had the Veal Picata and it was good. Very nice wine selection at a reasonable price. Neighborhood feel. We would definitely go back!
Food was amazing! One of my favorites in New Orleans.
Wife’s Birthday
Food and service were excellent. We try to make it to Pascal’s every time we get to New Orleans.
One of our favorite New Orleans restaurants. Best oysters in town. BBQ shrimp are a must if you’re visiting. Service is always great. Clean, comfortable environment with great big picture windows to look out on the oak trees.
Always fantastic & it was no different last night. The 2 for 1 appetizer is such a great idea. We chose to get the combination remoulade which is a bed of shredded lettuce stopped with fresh La blue crab meat topped with the best remoulade sauce ever & a ring of boiled shrimp topped with fresh cocktail sauce ! Wow, superb & a great value. I had the veal Marsala & my husband had the veal Gambero. Just fantastic!! A scoop of butter pecan ice cream finished off this superb meal. Ask for Donna, an excellent server!! We’ll be back as always!!
Always a great meal! Feels like our neighborhood favorite place
The bread wasn’t the same as usual, but that may have been because of the hurricane. So that we understood. However, for the second time in a couple of months, the turtle soup was not good. It isn’t the same as under previous ownership. It is lacking any real flavor and the consistency is too thick.
My husband’s birthday - friends in from Chicago. BBQ shrimp is the best. Love Louie -
Best raw oysters...always!
Very good!
Wonderful service, waiter was so knowledgeable, great safety protocols- a great night!
