Everything was excellent at Pauline's Saturday night.
The staff was great only surpassed by the food !!
We went here for Thanksgiving - wonderful service and incredible food. Really enjoyed ourselves.
5 star Thanksgiving dinner**
Love Thanksgiving at Pauline’s! Service is appropriately relaxed but professional, food is fine although nothing is elevated and the carrot soup, dressing and gravy was bland when turkey needs some sides that sing!
Paulines has amazing food! My favorite Filet Mignon!
Always a great place to gather for a meal! Our brunch food was great and we enjoyed catching up in a safe COVID environment.
As a person with celiac disease, I really appreciate the many gluten free choices.
You get 6 stars in all categories. The food is always incredible. The service and staff are friendly and personable. We have never had a bad experience. We would recommend Pauline's to anyone and everyone. Thank you and keep up the good work.
Consistently delicious. Brunch was excellent and waitstaff was great.
Enjoyed a fantastic lunch at Pauline’s. Always a favorite stop when heading into Burlington. Food was excellent and the young gentleman serving us was exceptional. Hope to return soon!
We were visiting from Ardmore, PA. I found Pauline's on Trip Advisor so I thought this would be a wonderful place to dine on our last evening in Vermont. We were seated immediately by a very gracious hostess. Our server, Alisa, was very helpful. We shared the Caesar Salad which was made with very fresh, crisp romaine (anchovies on the side). My husband couldn't decide between the House Schnitzel or the Crab Cakes. While Alisa said it was a hard decision, she recommended the Crab Cakes. Great choice! My husband loved them. I had the Eggplant Parmesan. Crispy nuggets of eggplant in a delicious tomato sauce. Not to sweet and definitely not acidic. We were full so we passed on desserts.
We were there for an hour before we got our appetizers. My husband's cheese plate had 3 pieces of cheese and 2 grapes which were cut in half. My onion soup was okay. Another 40 minutes and still no main course. We gave up, asked for check. They didn't charge for his cheese plate. To say we were disappointed does not encompass the irritation we felt. There was a party of 4 next to us that was also experiencing the same things we were! Won't return EVER!
We were really pleased with the COVID precautions. Plenty of spacing between tables ( without feeling empty), masked staff who maintained a respectful distance, and attentive service. Definitely recommend.
Excellent food. Just a night where staff was small. Had to be patient.
Food was excellent. The server even suggested a custom dish since I said I couldn’t decide on the risotto and something else. She gave me risotto as my side dish with the salmon. So nice of them. They completely understood my gluten intolerance as well.
Unfortunately I live in Pennsylvania so who knows when or if I’ll ever be back but I highly recommend it !
The food, drink and service at Pauline's was terrific. Our table was spaced well away from others and everything was very clean and quiet.
Pauline’s is always wonderful
Wonderful as always!! Pauline's never disappoints. Solid, reliable, delicious menu with friendly, welcoming staff in cozy setting.
I grew up in VT and never tried Paulines. I really should have because we enjoyed our overall experience. We will be back when we are in town again.
A nice overall lunch
We loved the crab cakes, they were delicious. One of our party ordered onion soup (also delicious) and a grilled cheese sandwich which was very bland and the bread cut far too thick to be eaten easily.
WE have never been let down when dining at Pauline's!
Pauline’s is one of the best places to dine; a great experience every time.
We had a wonderful brunch the other day. The crab cake was full of crab, rather than breadcrumbs and the eggs were done perfectly. The basket of homemade breads were delicious. And the patio ambiance reminded me of being in France.
Great find for us. First time visiting. Food was great. Nice atmosphere too.
I love the food at Pauline’s. It is always, always consistently outstanding. That’s why we keep coming back!
It was a lovely evening to sit on the "patio." My server was attentive and knowledgeable. The food was very good; the pork schnitzel was very flavorful if a tiny bit tough. The Key lime pie (with coconut crust instead of the usual graham cracker) was probably the best I've ever had . . . totally delish! My only issue was the very loud group at a nearby table. Highly recommended!
We live in the area and like to frequent Pauline's when we are in the mood for fine dining, excellent, wine, tasty appetizers, great services, and a quieter ambiance! David and his staff are amazing. We highly recommend!

Well, my friend and I ate the spinach cake, and its quality had deteriorated
since the last time we had it. Also, we are poor civil servants so came
for the early bird special and found you had discontinued it.
Frankly, as a vegan, I will not be returning to your establishment.
What can I say? Paulines is my favorite place to dine. It’s clean, and organized. Staff is sweet kind and knowledgeable.
There weren’t many dining places open in Burlington, so we settled on Pauline’s. We were pleasantly surprised by the tastiness of our food. The portions were large and the price was below what we had expected. The service was decent. Overall, I would recommend.
Friends took me their for non voyage dinner. I had the scallop special. Perfect combination of scallop / rice/corn/shallot. Key Lime pie for dessert was outstanding!! Graham cracker crust. Social distance A plus. Very safe
The food was absolutely delicious. We are repeat customers. I find the porch very cheerful in the daytime, but a bit dark in the evening. We will be back again though!
Thank you for a great night. The food and service was fantastic.
We ended up at Pauline’s on a Sunday night when most of downtown Burlington restaurants were closed. So glad we did! Unexpectedly came across one of the best meals we had at a restaurant in the area. My husband’s filet and my chicken picatta were absolutely delicious! And the crepe brûlée for dessert was among the best I’ve ever had! Servers were so friendly and professional; the only downside was the wait for our appetizers and main course. But after trying the food which was expertly prepared and presented, it was well worth the wait. We will definitely be back the next time we are in the Burlington area.
Outstanding as always. All personnel in masks and considerate of patrons.
I've eaten here many times and never disappointed.
We are regulars at Pauline's - not too often per year, but over many. We couldn't recall the food being quite so terrific as this time that we went!
Our meal started with Chef David visiting our table. He told about the restaurant and the specials. We felt welcomed and really excited for what was to come. The first course was escargot, which was done to perfection. Next course was scallops with pasta, chantrelle mushrooms and a lemon butter white wine reduction sauce. Third course were slices of medium rare tenderloin on top of a lapkas resting on a bed of spinach accompanied by roasted peppers. Then came his famous beet and candied walnut salad followed by chocolate gnosh cake topped with sorbet. This meal was absolutely delicious and done to perfection. The staff was gracious and welcoming. Everyone was using their PPE so we felt safe as well.
Great food, friendly staff. We enjoyed our brunch very much.
