Got a break with the mild weather and was able to sit outside on the patio. Truffle menu still available, order dollar curd and have the asparagus and potato truffle salad, and a white Negroni. Split a Dover sole. Outstanding!

Our server Jesus was spectacular and kind and gracious. Put we were seated indoors at the last table that was squeezed into a corner despite two tables outside being available. No ambience.. room looked empty and sad.

It's pumpkin time at Pelago, Chef Mauro has a $145 pumpkin tasting menu. 5 courses, a pumpkin soufflé appetizer, a risotto and even pumpkin desert. Off menu ask for Chef's special ravioli with caviar as an appetizer.

We had a fabulous time celebrating my wife’s 50th birthday. Pelago is one of our very favorite Chicago restaurants. The experience is always superb. The quality of the food and wine is phenomenal and the staff is extremely knowledgeable and attentive.

Every trip to Chicago will include a stop at Pelago. Amazing from the first to last bite.

One of the absolute best restaurants in Chicago! It is a hidden gem. We have been coming here for the past few years and it is always top notch service and OUTSTANDING food. We go here for birthdays, anniversaries, and it’s always a memorable night! 5-star service every single time we go here!

Pelago is our favorite place for date-night dining.

Pelago is a great choice for elegant dining now more than ever, the place is usually very busy, except for now! the service is fantastic and it is a beautiful place. The menu is changing all the time. even now, the Chef had about 7 different mushroom dishes on special so go now if you like shrooms!

A horrible place where you feel taken for a ride by the scam artists

The waiter was great and so was the service. The restaurant is very pretty too. However, the food was subpar. The bread was stale, the martini uneventful, and both of our dinners (fish - Dover Sole and Sea Bream) were below average... but the prices were so high. A $700.00 bill for 2 people is not acceptable when the food is just ok.

Hmmm it was over a 3.5 dinner experience for 4 people.... so you would expect the food to be exquisite if you are waiting that long, but the food was very average. Everything on their menu is over priced. This was def a one time dinner spot and we are definitely not coming back again.

Food was disappointing for the price. The Dover sole ($72) tasted 'fishy', and wasn't as good as places where it cost considerably less. Minestrone soup ($20) was good; but no better than I've had elsewhere for less than half the cost. I'm not cheap; but neither am I stupid enough to pay exorbitant prices for unworthy food. I won't be returning.

This was our 4th time there. It is my favorite place. The best chef in town. The staff is amazing. Prices are very reasonable. I can wait until I go back again!

Have always loved the atmosphere and food at Pelago. Have been there multiple times over the years. They are getting a bit too pricey and I'm not easily bother by good food "prices" . The waiter was obnoxious to say the least and would I never let him serve us again. He started by suggesting a $720 bottle of wine and continued with cheese for the table. I said no to both opportunities and that then it was an offer for risotto for the table. This guy was your worst "nightmare headache salesman" of a waiter. Understand these cost would were been on top of the $900 that dinner did cost me for 3 people. Other reviews I have heard have been the same. Continue with the atmosphere you have and great food, and you will succeed. If not, I suspect this place will price itself out of the market soon.

The food is SUPERB. Mauro is a true master of his craft. He's dishes are so expertly tended to. We enjoyed the cauliflower mushroom app, split a white asparagus risotto and split the branzino. Wonderful wine selection. The ambiance is classy. We love love love this restaurant. Service is fantastic too.

I loved the attentive service we received from the moment we arrived till we finished dining. The roasted Dover Sole was outstanding. There extensive wine menu is very impressive. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

We thought the food was really good and we had a lovely night but it was expensive and not sure it was worth the cost. I think to charge that amount the food really needs to be superb.

Absolutely delicious, soup to nuts. Best meal I've had in months. One of the top restaurants in Chicago. The waitstaff are true professionals. Loved every minute of the evening.
