Pepe Rosso Social
I wish we could keep this place a secret. It’s so freaking good.
The service was painfully slow and the food was very bland
The food was great! While the tables were close together, it was not terrribly loud until a group of girls came in towards the end of our meal that became so loud we couldn't hear each other talk.
It is WAY too loud! The food is wonderful and atmosphere lovely but we literally could not even hear our server or even talk to each other. They need to get this resolved and then we will return.
As usual, excellent food...highly recommend this restaurant.
Great service and food!
To celebrate my nieces visit. Definitely not special. Just meh
Pepe Rosso Social is a little hole in the wall that delivers in spades. The food was amazing, the service excellent and the atmosphere perfect. All at a very affordable price. I could not recommend PRS more highly!
Food was plentiful and delicious. Everyone enjoyed their meals!
I wanted to love this restaurant. The service was excellent, and the food was good. I just didn’t think it was fabulous. The Cacio e Pepe was too salty, the steak tagliata was just boring, & the gnocchi was over cooked. The best dishes were the penne alla vodka and the chicken saltimbocca.
We called at the time of our reservation saying we were going to be late (30 minutes!! bad on our part) but they were really nice and accommodating. Food was great! Loved the calamari, meatballs and best pasta we ordered was fettuccine with mushrooms and truffle oil.
The wait staff was friendly and helpful. The food was spectacular! Best gnocchi we have ever tried!!!
Everything we ate was incredible and the service was perfect. I will be back often!!
Brought my parents here while they were visiting and they were thrilled everything was perfect. Wonderful staff wonderful food could not have asked for more thank you
Best pasta we ever tasted in NYC - we actually went twice!!
Favorite italian spot! I come here ever time I’m in nyc and they never disappoint!!
Fabulous food, service and wine, who could ask for more?
We came with a big group... we ordered for table appetizers/salads - everyone really enjoyed! We each ordered our own dinners!! More than half ordered the Oxtail Ragu!! It was soooooo delish! We had a great time
ambiance and vibes were lovely! Not too loud and quite cozy. Great service and pasta was delicious. My only comment was the bread that was provided was a little disappointing. I appreciate that it is provided as service but if the bread was tastier it really would have put the cherry on top for my experience at this restaurant. Nonetheless, I will definitely be returning!
I am still dreaming about their cacio e pepe (and the Sangiovese I had to wash it down!) Best cacio e pepe I've ever had - I even took the last few bites home because I couldn't fit it in my stomach at the time but I couldn't waste it and had it the next morning for breakfast with an egg. The ambience, service, and the ability to hear ourselves talk also made this place a new favorite for me. I will definitely be back!!
The food was delicious, but took a very long time. No one came to our table to check on us for about 40 minutes after our appetizer plates had been cleared. Eventually our waiter came by and apologized and offered a free carafe of wine of his own accord, but this was after we saw every table in the restaurant that came after us served their entree. Worth it, but be aware it could take awhile.
Loved this place, very energetic, lively! Family trip to NY, so glad we found this place, it was great!
Staff was awesome!!
Love this place for the great Italian menu.
Great food and atmosphere. Excellent service. Overall wonderful!
We had a group of 10 friends, all couples in our 50s, celebrating the holidays. Pepe was a great spot for dinner, with nearby Mulberry street festively decorated and the holiday spirt extending all the way to Pepe’s. They accommodated our large party nicely, we were stated in the large downstairs dining area. The food was good and a tremendous value overall. The service was exceptional, even during a busy holiday month. It’s a genuine Italian meal with a wonderful ambience and an exceptional value.
Great service. Great food.
We enjoyed the food and wine very much.
Nice place to just hang out and get a small bite to eat and glass of wine. Not much to pick on menu but got some appetizers that were very good.
Outstanding service! Also, highly recommend the tiramisu!
Love this cosy , reasonably priced Italian. Great atmosphere. Lovely staff.
I've been going to Pepe Rosso since 2015 and have had their brunch, lunch and dinner, on both weekdays and weekends. This cozy pasta spot is easily my go-to spot for an intimate meal with my favorite people. Haven't had a negative experience in the last three years. If the table's open, I highly recommend the front table for a romantic dinner date.
Delicious food. Friendly staff. Great value. Did I mention Delicious food?
Can’t wait to go back!
Great for a large crowd - doesn’t require a pre-fix menu or mandatory bottomless brunch the way so many NY restaurants do!
The best place to get Roman style food in NYC!!! Great service, authentic food, good vibes all around.
Restaurant is quiet at lunch...the panini pleased our whole group.
Air conditioning was not working. Asked waiter if he could turn on the ceiling fan, only to find out it was not working. It was extremely uncomfortable inside, to the point that we did not order coffee and desert after dinner. just wanted to leave as soon as we could. Food was good, not great. Pasta was good, however the meat in the sauce was not fresh....at least that is how it tasted. Disappointed....
Everything was delicious per usual and the service was great, except we were seated by the open door. It was 90 degrees and we avoided ordering a second glass of wine because we were sweating! Other than that it’s a great restaurant. Just maybe when the fan is working.
good service, good food!
I love this place! great food and good costumer service
