The restaurant was busy and our server was challenged by supporting a lot of tables (I noted he was busy with many tables; he didn’t complain). We experienced a few long waits between interactions. A few of the filets we received were not as good as they have been in the past. The issue was with the quality of the cuts of meat. They were not as tender as in the past. I’ve had better at home. One person in our party ate very little of her steak.
Perfect evening to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Food was outstanding and Jalen, our server, was just perfect. We cannot wait to go back again 😀
Chris our server was kind and very efficient. Made for a very fun night!
The Truffle fries and bone in ribeye were excellent!
Great service and food! My wifey really enjoyed herself for her birthday.
I think two people should be able to go out for a nice dinner for $100-150 total, including a couple of drinks. But Perry's will be north of $250 (2 starter salads, 2 entrees, one drink each, 1 shared side and two deserts) It's just outrageous and not worth it by comparison to other local high end restaurants. The food and experience are fine, but nothing about them justifies that kind of premium. At $150, I would add it into our Birmingham rotation, but there's no way it should be that much more than a night at Highland's, Hot and Hot, Chucks, Gianmarco's, etc.
I started with the butcher salad which was wonderful. My main course was the Filet Minot and it was outstanding. My guest had the famous pork chop which was indescribable. My dessert was the chocolate peanut butter candy bar, which was another unbelievable choice. Everything we got was above our expectations!
Porkchop was bomb I just wish they would have cut it up for me
Never disappoints! I always make a point to try something different every time I go and it’s always delicious. This time, I went back to their steak and got their Perry’s Filet! Yum!!
Excellent food. Excellent service. Food is expensive but worth it.
Always a group favorite. The food is always excellent!
It was our anniversary and they had rose petals on our table. Such a simple thing but it really did make it feel more special. Everything was delicious too! The waitress was wonderful and knowledgeable about the menu.
We enjoyed the cool weather and nice lighting on the patio with excellent service.
The food was the worst quality, we have been there several times. Our steaks were not cooked as we ordered and were chewy. Not worth the price you pay for the meal.
Mary was great!
Chris (blonde hair) was so awesome. It was our first visit and our first wedding anniversary and he really provided the most awesome customer service. He had really great energy and was very knowledgeable. The food was amazing! I had the pork chop and my wife had the surf and turf pasta. Both were cooked remarkably. The lobster Mac and cheese and the Brussel sprouts were to die for as well. We’ll definitely be back.
Perfect service and the good was amazing! We will definitely return next time we're in Birmingham.
A little crowded which I guess should be expected for a Saturday evening other than that the food was wonderful. Our server Howard was wonderfully delightful, impeccable, information, and an overall joy to meet. Will definitely come again soon.
The lettuce on my salad wedge was not the best. It was cut wrong and still had the lettuce core in the wedge. Our meal took longer than expected to arrive and my steak was not hot. I had to send it back to be warmed. Service was fair. Not the experience we expected overall. Not sure we will go back.
Waiter was incredible!! He was attentive and made great suggestions. Great night.
Definately coming back!
Average food, poor service
It was our anniversary, we choose to sit outside, wished the fireplace was going for the ambience. The food was all amazing and our service was great!
Best food in all of Birmingham. Friendly staff & amazing waiters. Will be returning regularly.
We celebrated my 55th Birthday and my husband was very impressed with the service especially. I’m certain we will come again
We arrived a little early for our reservation and had to wait a few minutes to be seated. Our drink orders arrived promptly and were very good. My husband and I ordered the calamari appetizer to share. It was disappointing to say the least. The calamari was probably fried perfectly, but the very hot sauce poured all over it ruined it completely. Who wants soggy calamari? My husband loves very spicy foods, but even he said that the cherry peppers completely obscured the delicate flavor of the seafood.
For our entrees, I ordered the Chateaubriand and he ordered the bone-in cowboy rib eye. We also ordered creamed spinach to share. Once again, I was disappointed. While the tableside presentation was impeccable, the meat was dry and chewy, the asparagus undistinguished. On the other hand, my husband's rib eye was perfect: juicy, flavorful, tender, and cooked to perfection. We both agreed that the creamed spinach was good as any we've ever had. Overall, we agreed that for the considerable expense, my meal was a let-down. I think that Perry's attempts to offer too many menu items, and stretches itself too thin trying to provide so many options. They would do better to provide diners with superbly prepared steaks, delicious side items, and stop trying to win the "Chopped" competition.
Have traveled for 30 yrs Perry’s offers
Best Pork Chop On any menu p
I love going here! Food, especially pork chops and steak, is the best. I tried the Mac & cheese with lobster....fabulous!
Friend’s family visiting from Mexico
The atmosphere just isn’t the same when you are in the side room. Such a plain room for such an expensive meal.
The restaurant maintained better than required social distancing for their guests. Everyone wore masks and all servers put on gloves before serving our food.
The cocktails and food was really good. Our favorite dish was my fiance's fillet. I would recommend getting the fillet over any other cut of beef. its the best bang for your buck. I did not like my bone in ribeye steak, it was very fatty and difficult to cut with the steak knife provided.
Overall it was a little over priced in my opinion but the quality of food is good.
Great service. Will recommend everyone to go. And food was delicious
Excellent service and food
Great food, pork chop is unbelievable!!! Great atmosphere! Our waitress, Taylor, was the best! A great dining experience!!!
