Decor was very dated, more like an upscale diner than fine Italian restaurant, yet the prices paralleled many of the local fine dining establishments. They were also out of the two desserts we requested, so we left & went elsewhere for dessert. Service was outstanding, otherwise it was a very “meh” experience.
Love Pescatores!! Food is always outstanding and service great ! Love being able to have a great Italian meal and listen to Steve Silacato. Can't get any better then that!
Great time had by all! Entertainment was good! Able to enjoy and still have a conversation with friends. Food is always great and Our server, George, is always friendly and professional, along with Lou, the manager. Looking forward to going back again.
It was very disappointing. My family and I have been to Pescatore’s in the past and have enjoyed it very much but this time was a total disappointment. I started with the pasta e fagioli which was the highlight of the night. It was delicious. Then I had the stuffed portabella. The mushroom tasted old. Rubbery with no flavor. Okay, so that wasn’t great but things happen. For my dinner I ordered the PEI mussels in red sauce and a side of broccoli rabe. The mussels were huge, which in my opinion is not good. The broccoli rabe was serve in a bunch. I have never in my life served or been served broccoli rabe this way. The leaves are removed from the stalk and cooked. My family was not overwhelmed with their dinners either. We came to the conclusion that it must have changed hands and we will not be going back.
Great food & service as usual
We were at Pescatore’s for Valentine’s Dinner. Our server managed to somehow confuse both our wine order (assumed Pino Grigio when I asked for Pino - I wanted Pinot Noir) and our dinner entree (brought only a Filet Mignon when we ordered the Surf and Turf). He also must have said medium well for the steak when we ordered medium rare - the steak was ruined). Servers need to listen carefully and not assume. If you aren’t sure what a guest wants, ask them. They did eventually bring a lobster tail but I expect a higher quality of service for the prices they are charging.
The food was good, the service was good...we felt very welcomed and appreciated as customers
We dined at Pescatores on Valentine’s Day and while it was busy, there were still many open tables available. Our server was clearly tired but trying her best. We waited about 10 minutes before they put bread out for us, then waited about 10 more minutes before our order was taken. The first plate didn’t come out for just over an hour... thankfully, the food was delicious. We had an appetizer, an entree and a desert. We enjoyed our meals, but the quality and speed of service and time it takes to have food out to tables could be improved. 3 stars with the food as the highlight. We will go back and try Pescatores again on a regular night.
Server was well intentioned but overall they need to train servers and bus people. Food was good but overall experience could have been better. May return but not sure.
Great restaurant with great service. Portions are large, love the Barchetta! Go and enjoy!
We were greeted by the new bartender Lauren. She was awesome and had a sensational sense of humor! The food was great as usual
Great food and service!
I reserved a table for 14 for a special occasion. The reservation was no problem, which I really appreciated. The guest of honor was late but the rest of the party arrived as planned. The server took drink orders for the party what was in attendance. Upon arrival of the guest being honored, after waiting about 10 minutes, there was still no drink order, so I went and told the hostess that we were ready. That should not have been the case. The server was not friendly and the food was mediocre. By no means was the food bad, but it was not a meal that anyone said they would come back for. The food also took a long time to come out, even with 14 people in the party. It was not a great experience but we made it great as we were celebrating.
I expected it to be more then just a dinner vibe. The bread didn’t taste fresh, the menu was limited and for the quality the prices seemed a little high.
Although it was New Year's Eve and the restaurant was packed, it was a very nice experience. Our waiter was attentive even though he was quite busy. The food was very good, nice portions for the price. Because we were asked to change our reservation we were treated to a free appetizer. I would like to return on an evening when it is not a holiday.
Food taste and portions were very good. Good menu variety and kids’ choices. We went during New Year’s Eve and the service was subpar. We had to wait for about 20 minutes past our OpenTable reservation time to get seated. There is no good place to wait as the only areas was the bar area, no seats, and were in the way of the servers going back and forth. Our server seems flustered and was not knowledgeable about any of the wine choices. We asked for things like water and Parmesan cheese a few times before she remembered to bring them. Overall, a good family Italian restaurant but they need more seasoned servers, especially for holidays.
We enjoyed our dinner very much. Our servers were helpful and pleasant and the food was great.
We visit every Christmas eve. Food was very good and service was satisfying
Service was just ok. Soup was not warm. After dinner coffee had to be re-served due to coffee grounds in first batch.
This restaurant has such a nice atmosphere and the food is so good. Our party of five was seated immediately and received excellent service and a good variety of quality food. The portions are large and very tasty. All enjoyed their meals, which included a chef's salad, scallop salad, salmon salad, chicken picata, and chicken marsala). The owner and server were very attentive and I even received a free dessert for my birthday. We will definitely be returning and highly recommend this restaurant.
First time there. Very good food quiet dining room tonight! We had a very nice experience!
Excellent food and service. The value for the price paid was good. Very crowded but the service didn’t miss a beat
Great service, great food
I had the opportunity to select anywhere I wanted to enjoy my birthday celebration and I chose Pescatores. It was our first visit. We arrived early and we were greeted promptly by a friendly hostess who asked us to wait briefly while she bussed a table and then seated us promptly. When our server didn’t arrive timely the hostess could see we were becoming frustrated (another table close by was seated after us and was already attended to) she took our drink order and when she returned with our beverages, indicated our server would be by shortly. Not long thereafter the hostess returned and took our appetizer order. Kudos for paying attention to your patrons and improving our experience! The server took over from that point and she was okay - did not provide the attentive service the hostess did. As for the meal, we shared the antipasti. We agreed a bit of cheese, maybe a few slices of sharp provolone, would have made it better, but it was very good. We each had pasta entrees with seafood and were very pleased with our meals. Portions were generous and we each took some home. We never touched the bread, which looked lovely. The check arrived and was place in front of me, not my bf. He took care of the bill, handed it to the server and when she returned with his card, again, she placed it in front of me! Our server clearly has a lot to learn and it would serve her well to learn from the woman working as the hostess that evening.
Very good food but loud. Not for romantic dining.
Food was very good but I assume b/c it was a Saturday night it was busy and service was slow.
Food was really awful Both our Pastas came out full of water (not drained) and food tasted old.
would not recommend. Also the place stinks of sewage on the outside as you walk in the front door.
Don't know why it was rated 5 stars - that must have been long ago.
Our experience at Pescatore's was very good. Everyone enjoyed their meals. The waiter was very attentive but not annoying. We will be back again.
This place is always great. Just told someone about it who just moved to delaware. Love this place
Pescatores never disappoints! There was a big crowd there but our server was consistent about checking with us and getting our delicious meal to us timely!
Food had no taste...Host acted like we where bothering her she was busy on her phone when we arrived and when we left! The waiter never smiled no interaction another one who acted like we where bothering..Never a smile from either one..
Wont be back
George was a great server for a table of 13. Portions were very satisfying.
Great experience having the kids' (wedding) rehearsal dinner here! Service was excellent, food was yummy, party room is very pretty, and they made it very easy to arrange.
I have eaten at Pescatore's many times and I have never been disappointed with my meal. The food is excellent, the service is always good, the portion is always more than I can eat.
GreT meal. Great price. Great place!
Lou is incredible. The food was incredible. The service was incredible. We really enjoyed the crab special. Bar service was incredible also. Thanks for an enjoyable and unforgettable evening.
The crab and spaghetti night was fantastic. Fresh seafood, flavorful and spaghetti was great!
Outdoor patio on a Saturday lunch was very nice , private and quiet. Food was great, fair priced and the service great. Good deal
First time visiting, very relaxing until 7:30 when entertainment BOOMED into the dining area of the restaurant. It was a Friday evening, so maybe other days may be better if you wanted to have a conversation at your table.
Food was very good, and price was comparable with other Italian restaurants.
Fabulous waitress on patio w long blonde ponytail. Food was very good & great portions.
