Unbelievable experience at Piccola tonight! Everything from service to atmosphere, music and of course food was excellent! Michael and Mark were very attentive and professional! The service by all was exceptional! Best dinner I've had in a long time! We started with a hearty Tuscan Ribolita soup, then gorgonzola fries that are just a treat for your tastebuds, next a refreshing and perfectly orchestrated Harvest salad and then for dinner the famous homemade Burrata ravioli with sage butter sauce, sweet potato puree, spiced apple white balsamic reduction sauce, topped with pepitas, ginger snap cookie crumble and crispy sweet potatoes.. you HAVE to try it!
We finished with a decadent valrhona chocolate tart and grandma's cream puffs that were better then perfect....
Chef Brian came out to say hello and thank you, which was the icing on the cake. I CANNOT wait to go back! Next time I'll take photos! Get here, you'll thank me later!

Service was excellent. Our waiter was very attentive. I had the chicken dish and it was delicious. Chicken was very moist. My husband enjoyed the scallops very much. We can’t wait to go back.

Great service fair prices great food

I arranged what I thought was to be a very special Birthday dinner for a significant birthday for my wife at this restaurant. We arrived about 10 minutes prior to our 5PM reservation and were brusquely told that the restaurant was not open yet and they were having a meeting. We were standing there in the cold tiny entranceway while hearing their ongoing meeting discussion until finally seated. Our mood was further dampened when during our dinner our waiter brought up his opinions on Covid-19 - essentially that everyone was going to get it with some living and some dying. We did not care to hear this during my wife's birthday celebration given the ongoing virus tragedy. To top things off, even though I specifically mentioned my wife's very special birthday in the reservation. No one at the restaurant acknowledged it in any way. My wife and I are long time Ocean residents (~40 years) and we will never go to this restaurant again.

The food was excellent! Second time dining here and I loved everything about it. The service was quick and easy. Drinks were delicious and the food was divine!

I’ve been dying to go here after hearing great reviews and I was certainly underwhelmed. I was. Was excited to go and try the scallops entree but was disappointed when it was sold out by 7:30. I settled on something else and it was not gourmet. My partner was not satisfied either. The appetizers were good and service was great.

Brought my girlfriend here for our two year anniversary. This is the spot I took her on our first date. It has only gotten better. The ambiance is amazing. The food was the best that we have ever had! The scallops were absolutely insane. I can’t wait to go back here. We are always treated like family, and that’s an experience that can’t be beat.

If you are looking for great Italian you cannot beat Piccola Italia. A place you can keep going to and service is outstanding along with the food. It is a place you can actually have a normal conversation with out having to shout at each other. Chef and Owner Brian Gualtieri has a unique touch in bringing Italian food into the modern era.

This was our first time here. The food and service were excellent. It is not a cheap restaurant but the quality of the food is worth the price! Very impressed and we will be back!

Piccola Italia never ever disappoints! Whether you are seated inside or outside, the ambience is perfect, the staff attentive and helpful, and the food is marvelous! The attention to detail makes every dining experience truly remarkable.

The food was excellent

We were extremely disappointed. The service was horrible - we waited nearly an hour for our main course and the excuse we were given was that there too many “to go” orders. The supposed “very friendly” owners did not bother to say a word to us. Then when it finally did arrive, the veal ragout was watery and tasteless, the carbonara was bland and the fries that came with the burger were cold. As for appetizers, the salads were just ok and the calamari was definitely not crispy. Again, very disappointed, wanted to love it as others have but we won’t be returning.

This was our first experience here. We are new to the area and looked on line, decided to try it and were not disappointed. From appetizer to main course. All was great.
Will definitely return.
