Excellent service from all of the staff. Food was excellent! Ambience was great fon a sunny Sunday afternoon! 👍
Very average menu and quite a poor dining experience. Restaurant looks rather tired with dated decor and oppressive environment.
Even though it was Mother's Day and clearly very busy all staff were very attentive and great with the children. Nothing was too much trouble. It's hard to find good food and family-friendly restaurants - we'll definitely be back.
The staff were very attentive and pleased to provide their excellent services
People who arrived after us were seated before us, after our booking time had passed. Otherwise the service was good, food was delicious but expensive for what it is. Definitely a treat!
very tasty
lovely orange and pomegranate salad
table not in best position, but overall enjoyed evening
Firstly on arrival we were told we didn't have a table but booked it 2 weeks earlier and had a booking reference. After 10 mins we were found one on the terrace which was freezing for 2 people as the heater missed them and they could feel the cold. The food was over priced our bill for 6 was £350.00 although we did have steaks we only drank soft drink. There was a 30th going on up stairs which was very noisy and then just as things couldn't get any worse there was a fight with some men that were on a table next to us!
Was very good, attentive and friendly staff, quality food
Nice meal. The restaurant was busy but the service + food was still very prompt. Portion sizes not too big. Very enjoyable, good relaxed atmosphere.
Clean, bright, good decor Good food, let down by expensive drinks, indifferent staff .
This is not a place for a quiet dinner for two. The loud music and club like atmosphere caused people to talk louder than normal, so raising the ambient noise level to an irritating level for dinner. Upon our request the waiter was able to turn the speaker over our table down a bit , but this had little impact.
Food was good as was the friendly waiter service we received. Though no plans to return.
Not as good as it used to be. Food was very average and with the prices you pay, would expect much better quality. Service staff were very good.
Good food, good service. Oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
Food is usually reasonable but décor is definitely dark and tired
Excellent food and service
Fabulous location, staff excellent in all departments and the food is creative and fulfilling.
Business lunch, minimum but professional presence from staff to minimise interruptions; food very good, portions more than sufficient.
First time here and very pleased we came. A high class experience which we hope to repeat in the near future.
Great atmosphere, top rate food and excellent, friendly and attentive (but not annoying) service. Would definitely go again.
I was hugely disappointed. My meal was dreadful - really poorly cooked. I had ordered minestrone which tasted sour, then the Sunday Beef Lunch. The beef was like leather, the yorkshire pudding just flaked away into a crisp and was in fact inedible. The vegetables were underdone, swimming in butter, and so difficult to eat, I left them all. It might sound terrible, but it was ! On top of this, it was so expensive - I don't mind the price if the food is good, but I re-iterate, I was really disappointed.
This is a 'must miss' venue....I am not quite sure why it appears to be so popular, other than some people seems to want to rub shoulders with the 'wannabees' in society.
Avoid it at all costs...it's noisy, the tables are too close together and don't even get me started on the food...quite how anyone can ruin a 'medium rare' steak beats me....
Sun was shining so managed to dine outdoors with heaters on. Lovely food and wine with attentive service. Chocolate fondant desert was a little disappointing as wasn't warm enough. Told waiter who offered to change it but carried on eating as it still tasted yummy.
If you love shellfish you must get the platter. Amazing! Unfortunately service wasn't great, but atmosphere and food made up for it
Great food, great service!
Drinks not finished taken without asking as well meals taken from table when not finished to nosey in restaurant have been to this restaurant twice now would be returning again
Great food staff and atmosphere as always
Food was outstanding and most enjoyable time
Saturday night for dinner - food very good and the place had a real buzz. But - the restaurant is so noisy you can barely have a conversation with the person next to you, never mind across the table. And the service - we had to wait 40 minutes for dessert, having been told twice by the waiter our desserts were only a minute away (some 25 and 10 minutes before they actually arrived). They then had the cheek to add a service charge which they reluctantly removed when requested. Unlikely to go back except for Lunch.
Luigi makes you most welcome! The service was excellent, perhaps a bit over attentive because we had a corked bottle of wine. This was changed without hesitation and we chose a much better bottle. Because of this the staff were very keen to ensure we had a great evening. The food was fabulous, all three courses! With the main course I must recommend my favourite, courgette fritters and roast potatoes with garlic and rosemary. These went with the rose veal superbly. My guest had the wrapped and stuffed chicken which looked and tasted superb. I would strongly recommend the food here; I have been several times now and will be going back soon, if only to chat again with Luigi!
Staff inattentive. No one took our coats and we had to sit with them on the back of our chair. Waiter was slightly over familiar and no one available to thank you upon leaving. £120.00 on a dinner for two you would espect a little more courtesy.
Excellent menu, service, atmosphere - the full fine dining package
Table booked for 9pm had to go and ask twice at 9.20 if table was ready.
Starter of prawns was lovely but too small. 4 prawns is hardly a starter. My main side dishes were forgotten and blamed on new staff. Husbands garlic bread was awful. Service not great but they did remove garlic bread off the bill when we were asked at end of the meal how everything was.
More expensive than didsbury but not as good
Had very nice meal and enjoyed chilling in bar area after. Will be back
The food was excellent and the staff were very attentive and friendly. We dined as a treat for my mum, who was visiting. She loved it!
We just love the service here. Really friendly and attentive. The food is great with a nice mix of pizza, pasta and meat dishes. The complimentary breads are a nice touch. The balsamic vinegar is delicious. We sat outside after specifying that on our online booking and the sun shine whilst watching the world go by was lovely.
Having been a few times previously I kew what to expect and wasn't disappointed. Always a good selection of food and wine and perfect;y cooked.
A lively and noisy atmosphere, a mini Italy!
At a very friendly restaurant.
Poor acoustics make for very noisy dining but they make up for it with the friendly service
The staff as always are very very friendly and well meaning, however often fail in the execution of simple tasks such as drinks orders and requests to the kitchen. Disappointed that for an early booking (when the restaurant was empty) we were sat at a cramped table at the top of the stairs, even with a member of our party clearly 8 months pregnant. When requested we were moved but to an equally cramped table. The food was good, and good value for a smart restaurant in Hale. A few minor improvements in attention by the waiting staff would mark a vast improvement in the overall experience.
We visited on a Friday night, and this restaurant has quickly become one of my favourites; having been to most in Manchester City centre. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly; creating a happy and relaxed environment. Most importantly however, the food is exemplary, and reasonably priced.
Will definitely be back soon - highly recommended.
The service was not really up to standards. We were given a table on the corridor, no space at all for waiters to move around. The table was also by the waiters station, even though they were behind us, they weren't very attentive.
However the food were amazing. Best Italian food I've had since Rome.
Very noisy - table next to us was very rawdy and no one from the staff bothered to speak to them to asjk them to quiet down. The waitress struggled to take my order for the noise. They were swearing profanities extremely loudly. The rissotto was under cooked and over priced for what it was. This was my favourite restaurant until my last visit
