Pineapple cafe and Mexican grill
Can not wait to return! Great service and excellent food! The Mole was fantastic. Can not wait to return!
My first visit was an enjoyable one. Service was excellent. Seated right away. Chips and salsa right away. Server follow up was excellent. Enjoyed the meal. Ordered a take home at the time of the order; they remembered and delivered it with the check.
the food had no flaver. the beans and salsa were watery, the the chimicunkas were made from frozen grocery store food. flaverless. the worst mexican i have ever had. the beef in the tostadas and chimicunkS was not beef, i dont know what it was,but it was terrible
They didn’t even know we did the reservation. Once finally seated, waited over 15 minutes for water and the server to say hi. The place wasn’t even 1/2 full. Food was cold. It was hard getting refills of water and soda.
First time I went the service was great and the food was great. On this 2nd trip the service was slow and while not rude, not great. It took over 1/2 hour to get the food, no apology, thanks for waiting or any acknowledgement. Had to ask multiple times for a to go box, silver ware and server responded with a yes I'm getting it, after 2nd request.
Arrived at 11:55am for 12:00pm reservation. Upon arriving we were told that they did not except reservations through open table and we were made to wait. Disappointment.
We were seated immediately and served drinks within minutes. Place was quiet and clean. Food was exceptional. Our waiter made suggestions for certain plates that we had no idea what they were and it was all delicious. Definitely going back!
The Pineapple Cafe is the perfect small dining spot for Oak Creek. It is very convenient on the northeast corner of Howell and Drexel Avenues. Very extensive menu with many delicious options. We dined there for breakfast but would do any meal. There is even a children's menu with 11 choices. Service was friendly and efficient.
Visiting from out of town. Looked on Trip Advisor for a suggestion. Was not disappointed. My wife and I both had typical Mexican fare (tacos, burritos, enchiladas) and of course happy hour margaritas. The only negative was the small size of the margaritas. Other than that, we'd go there again when in town and looking for mexican.
We decided to go based on previous evaluations, but we were extremely disappointed. The restaurant is shabby: The chair seats are dirty, as is the carpet. Even the menus are sticky and coming apart. The food was a bit salty and just okay.
Awesome food; great service
Delicious food; great service.
Great family restaurant with warm efficient service and good food with wide selection
Great food, perfect margaritas, excellent value
Great food. Reasonably priced. Paleo options available.
Good food, good service. Breakfast and dinner are both really good. Will keep coming back!
Good, but food was MUCH TOO SALTY. Nice casual atmosphere and efficient service.
I had made a reservation but did not need it. Was nice and quiet. Quiet enough for my (elder) parents. The food was really, really good. We may have to try this for breakfast.
The service was very good, and when there appeared to be a problem with the food, the waitress worked to rectify the problem. There appeared to be a lot of regular guests who came in to dine. It was a very comfortable atmosphere.
I got nothing. The food was mediocre but it was served hot.
Great service as usual. Had lunch here for the first time, I'd recommend to anyone! Close to home and delicious. Good value also.
Really good Mexican fare! Fresh, visually appealing and flavorful. Abundant choices and equally inventive bar selections to complement the meal. With so many average Mexican establishments in Milwaukee, this restaurant truly stands out.
Some of the most fresh, healthy, and beautiful Mexican food in the area.
We had incredibly slow service. We arrived at our scheduled reservation time. I checked in at the counter and told them I had a 11:30 reservation but instead of the 8 people the reservation was for there were only 6. He said okay and looked at a list like he was looking for us on it. I sat down and waited 20 minutes. Turns out he was a waiter who happened to be at the counter and never told anyone else we were there (although it looks like there wasn't a set host/hostess stationed at the counter). After 20 minutes I asked someone else if we were going to be seated soon. They said they were expecting at group at 12, but maybe soon after that. I reiterated that we had an 11:30 reservation and then they checked the list, found us and seated us quickly. Turns out the guy that didn't check us in was our waiter. It took him forever to come take our drinks order and then didn't want to take our food order then even though we were ready. Took a long time for drinks to come and for him to take our food order. He rarely checked in on us. We didn't leave the restaurant until almost 1:30, an incredibly long time for a casual dining brunch. There were plenty of open tables too so it's not like they were that busy. While the food was good, I will not be returning.
We found this place on open table as we are from out of town. It was delicious, a very welcomed discovery. I only wished we lived closer we would be regulars.
Excellent healthy traditional Mexican food. Great margaritas sweet and attentive service.
