Plan B Burger Bar - Washington DC

The wait staff/hostess seemed irritated by the fact that we wanted a table, and wanted to order things. There were zero pleasantries and every time the waiter did actually come over to attend to something, his responses were short and fairly unhelpful. At one point, he came by to inform my friend that they were out of gluten free rolls. All he said was "we're out of rolls, want lettice?". Later, when the roll (with the upcharge) was still on the bill, we asked for it to be taken off and he got very defensive and stormed off.
The food was great, that burger menu was really good, but the service just did not make us feel welcome there. We might have stayed for more drinks and spent more money, but the attitude of those working there made us feel like we should just finish dinner and go. I would probably not go back

The fries came out cold and my date asked our server to heat them up, but the server made a face like “are you serious” and clearly thought it was a stupid request. But she ended up bringing out fresh fries so I guess it’s fine?

Met with a friend for a belated birthday dinner. Waiter was quick to ask if I wanted a drink and checked in several times while I waited for my friend to arrive. Quick to take food orders after her arrival and the meal came fast and hot. I ordered the fish sandwich and it was amazing! Good low-key atmosphere and chill yet attentive waiters. Amazing food and even better brews. Would recommend.

The burgers were really good & the service was quick. The fries were not hot, maybe because they serve a lot of customers. I actually ordered the fresh greens instead of fries but the waiter made a mistake so I didn’t get the greens. We would definitely recommend the burgers here if you want something different than the norm.

Seemed like a great spot for happy hour, but that is only offered in the bar/lounge area. This was only really explained after a less than friendly hostess ran us to a table and tossed the menus down. It took awhile to get service with lots of wait staff walking by and not acknowledging us. When we did get service he wreaked of smoke and had a very strange affect. Nonetheless, the burger and brew were good. All in all I'd say a nice happy hour stop with some tourist trap vibes.

Awesome burgers and bar selection

I had no idea this place was here but very pleased to discover it! The burgers were scrumptious, the variety of fries and burgers and other offerings were also awesome. And, our server was super nice to boot! I will definitely come back!

OUR server was was amaing so friendly and very attentive. The menu was burger heaven. Both our choices were so delicious.

A great place for gluten free dishes, many of which are difficult to find elsewhere. You can order GF onion rings, fried fish, and wings, just to name a few. The staff is very friendly and helpful. This is one of our go-to spots near Capital One arena!

It was good.

Delicious burgers! This is my second time eating here, and I was very impressed both times. The first time was with families, and there were plenty of options for children. This time I was dining alone, and wanted low-carb options and there were plenty. (Pictured: I had a burger stuffed with bacon and cheese, on a bed of lettuce, with Brussels sprouts and a low-sugar vodka cocktail). The burgers are excellent, as are the cocktails! I will definitely be back as often as possible.

Our server was great soo attentive

The burger was pretty good and high quality meat. Everything else seemed middle of the road. Nothing bad but nothing exceptional.

Our go to place in Penn Quarter. We used to go to fancy places before plays, programs or games in Penn Quarter. Now we just go to Plsn B. The device is good, the food reliable and the noise level low. We like it!

Very good, would come again

The atmosphere was great. Food was great. Service was ok but the Hostess was nasty. She acted as if she was doing us a favor. I’m sick an tired of hostesses thinking they are all that at 22 years old.

I always judge a good burger restaurant by the fries - hot versus tepid or cold and this place always gets it right. Their sweet potatoes fries, fried green beans, french fries and tater tots are always hot, crisp and yummy. Burgers are always cooked perfectly and so many great choices. Definite casual good value good food burger bar.

After travelling around Washington DC for nearly a week, the waitress asked us for ID and being 37 we didn't have one. In all the bars and restaurants we went to we were never asked once. There are plenty of amazing restaurants nearby so just avoid this one. We were very insulted and embarrassed so we left, the waitress couldn't have cared less. Avoid

I really liked this place. Good Food. Fun atmosphere. Very enjoyable dining experience. My hamburger salad was tops. Our waiter was very attentive, with excellent recommendations. Expansive beer selection on tap. Highly recommend. Very popular lunch spot.

Very poor service. The waiter kept forgetting to bring drink menus, my pregnant friend was unable to eat her burger because it was not cooked well enough, both our salads came out wrong, on "National IPA day" they were all out of EVERY IPA by 6pm, and the waiter spilled sprite all over the woman at the next table. It was not an enjoyable experience.

Sat outside but not crowded or too noisy. The chicken burger was fine and the blue chips have a great jalapeno spiced cheesy sauce on them.

The happy hour menu is a great find. The drinks are strong and inexpensive matched with tasty and inexpensive food. The dinner menu is great also with my favorite being the burger with the brioche French toast bun! I will definitely be coming back

Great find adjacent to the National Mall in Downtown DC. Great food. Lots of GF options on the menu. Pleasantly surprised. Had the "burger salad". Good choice!
