Prepkitchen - La Jolla
Had some family in from out of town and took them here. Fantastic experience. Food was amazing and the vibe was exactly what I was looking for
Highly recommend this spot for a lovely brunch experience. Great service and food.
It was so good! Everything is done simply well and our server was very pleasant!
Waitstaff was lovely and knowledgeable about the menu. Food was tasty. Service was prompt.
So great - all the staff were awesome!
It was amazing!!
Service was slow and the server was not attentive. We almost got up and left die to sitting at the table for 10 mins without being greated. The most exciting part was the Brussel sprouts. So good.
The food was excellent, they catered to vegetarian and gluten-free members of our party, and the service was on point. Will definitely be back!
Great find. We were visiting from the East coast. We had three separate meaningful conversations with tables nearby. Always a plus for us to sit in a restaurant with great food and service AND find happy, positive people that start up conversations.
The fact I could get a Sunday brunch reservation was amazing! We had 7 of us at 1:00pm - met friends visiting from NYC. Such a perfect location, right in town. And the setting was great - under some trees, and a blue, blue sky.
Our server was very attentive, drinks came out quickly (yummy bloody mary!)
Food was great - chilaquillas were delicious (not spicy - that's up to you!) 2 of our friends were very happy with their lobster roles. Overall, great experience. Highly recommend!
Highly recommend! Great salmon dish and a nice outdoor patio. Very good and friendly servers in a quiet casual setting.
Great meal, enjoyed space on the shaded patio. Food was good, however limited vegan options for one member of our group. Presentation great!
Lovely, quiet dinner. Great food, accommodating staff.
Best Italian food. I’m from. NEW YORK. I know GREAT FOOD. LOL
Quality of the food not good enough
Food is amazing, servers discreet. Our waitress began to approach our table several times but was sensitive and respectful when we were involved in an intense private discussion. Her timing was excellent, better than most, and she managed to be sufficiently attentive too.
The food was good but not great. Service was fast and friendly, however needs more wine knowledge and to know its rude to just suggest the highest price wines on the list. That's tacky. And they aren't what the guest is looking for.
The food was excellent, service was OK. Because they’re so busy the service was a little bit slow.
However We enjoyed the food very much, we actually live in a state that is known for its Mexican food, so we were a little hesitant.
We are happy to report that the food was absolutely great.
Great atmosphere, service and food! We love this place.
The location was really the only reason we chose this place. Our cocktails were watered down and our food wasn’t great although it did come out promptly. We ordered the ceaser salad which had a bland dressing, fingerling potatoes and broccolini which also left much to be desired. The sliders were okay but the brussel sprouts were actually really good! Probably won’t be back but if I did, I’d get a beer and the Brussel sprouts.
Just love this little place. Always a great - flavorful - meal and friendly people- wait staff and patrons.
Great meal. Great outdoor dining under a canopy. Friendly service. Excellent choices on menu.
The food was really fantastic. We ate outside and the ambiance was very nice. The service was top notch! Highly recommend.
Great food, great service, quiet, a nice place to eat outdoors.
It was an ok experience. The food was good- but not great. The fish tacos were slightly big enough to share, but we were glad to have the fries as an appetizer.
Service was just ok, too. It’s a small place, but the server still overlooked my empty water glass on several passes.
I’d been for breakfast in the past and had a better experience...
We love this place! Small intimate setting...most importantly the quality and preparation of the food is excellent. Have enjoyed both brunch and dinners here and would definitely recommend.
Food was excellent. Service was good. We ate outside which was nice and quiet and also warm enough with the heater on. The scallops were amazing and banana split was so good.
I loved the food and the value on my previous (first) trip, but this time the food (Caesar salad) was rather disappointing. It was just big chunks of lettuce that I had to cut myself, which was surprisingly not that easy, with parmesan cheese and dressing sprinkled on top. It was too difficult to eat while having a conversation, and it wouldn't keep, so I left most of it on the plate.
Amazing food and service 👍🏼 loved the lobster roll chicken picata and the tuna app .
We had a great dinner at Prepkitchen. The smoked beet and goat cheese salad was delicious, so was the salmon and blueberry cake for dessert. Excellent service and food!
The food was great the service was also top notch. It's a little smaller than their other places in San Diego, but I think the food might have been a tad bit better.
Very small restaurant but fast friendly service and great food!
We really enjoyed the brussel sprouts . My friend enjoyed her beet salad, but thought it was different and had fewer greens than her previous visit. Limited indoor seating. Outdoor seating with patio heaters. Outdoor seating does make it quieter and easier for talking.
Food is stellar!
Every time I go to Prepkitchen in La Jolla, I'm always blown away by the food and service. I'm reminded each time why I keep coming back. The menu always seems to have items that will please everyone without compromising quality (so delicious!) nor quantity (ever get overwhelmed by the pages of items menus can have?). The best date spot with your significant other or with friends.
We ate here late on a Tuesday night, it was quiet, there weren't many other people there at the time. Not a huge menu but what we had was good! The inside is very small but they have a cute patio in a nice little area of La Jolla.
Huge frequent flyer fan!!! Get the blueberry upside down cake! Chikaquiles, Brussels, shrimp Louie!! Also pretty darn decent lobster roll!!! Maybe a choice of a different side than just fries!!!
Prep Kitchen can be counted on for delicious food time and again, and this was no exception save for some minor issues.
We went for Mother’s Day brunch. Prep Kitchen La Jolla doesn’t have an espresso machine, so no Latte’s, Capuccino, or Macchiato. Some of the full price dishes were very small like the Fresh Berry Toast - 1 piece, small, albeit quite good. Chilaquiles were solid!
Great food, service and a lovely patio. The French toast was heavenly with bananas, pecans and caramel.
