We had a table if four and never had an empty glass of water or wine. Oh, the wine list is fabulous and food selection is just as wonderful! We all enjoyed our full meal. Service was fantastic. I cant remember her name but so personable and refreshing! It was a bit loud, but with laughter and friendly chatter. So we just kicked it up a bit too. I also love - love the decor, very classy and calming.
Excellent service and great food.
Followed by great music and wine downstairs.
This time we both had the specials.
Crispy Octopus, bigger pieces than the normal fried calmari, perfect fingerling potatoes. Our server this week was Ryan. He recommended the aoli on the side, because of the heat. We had the normal aloi sauce. We would have it again.
Kim had the Chicken and portabello Alferdo. We were not sure how the chicken was prepared well, not over cooked, still juicy.
I had the Prime New York. the Steak was cooked Medium Rare. red in the center, cooked on through on the edges. And the Vesulio Potatoes may be my favorite side.
We cam here for the desert though, Raspberry Creme Brulee. This is still Kim's favorite.
We had a different server this week. Ryan. He was helpful and made sure the food was cooked the way we like it and our drinks were keep full.
The server did not take our order for at least 15 minutes and required me jumping up and waving and shouting for attention. We were the only people in the restaurant!
The remainder of the time he was attentive.
So nice to have a fine dining restaurant in Gurnee! From the moment you walk in the hostess staff is very welcoming and friendly. We were given a great table. I love when the waiter gives you input and details! Also, if he doesn’t like or hasn’t tried something he’s going to tell you. Their French martini is a favorite! Not too many places even in the City make a real good French martini. The bruschetta was fresh, easy to eat. The garlic risotto was delicious. Great service! Fun vibe!

Great menu, and the food was great. It was a Friday evening, and the rest was at full capacity, so it was pretty loud. Our server was very attentive and overall we had a great experience.
Highly recommend the Sea Bass! Love the presentation of the shrimp cocktail! The side Caesar Salad is the best ever! Thank you for a lovely evening!
Table was ready when we arrived. Server was quick to take drink order for drinks, give us time to enjoy the drink and order dinner. I had vodka sauce pasta...really good, meal was hot and a large serving.
Enjoyed the meal.
We were disappointed that their brunch did not feature a buffet, but the food was delicious.
Excellent food (sea bass especially), service was very good, and very nice lounge on the lower level.
Band was ok, but very loud. Was not offered water— perhaps you have to get your own at the bar??

We had 2 of the specials for our entrees. Swordfish, very light with heirloom tomatoes and gold potatoes. The sauce pulled it together well.
The beef stroganoff was cooked they way we like it, but it didn't seem to have enough of a marinade. The mushrooms and pasta were very well made.
Please don't make us wait a year for more rice pudding.
Danielle's a pleasant server and as always made our dinner fun.
Everything was great, but the beef stroganoff, which had no onions and very little if any mushroom, and full of carrots, and did not have the rich sour cream taste the accompanies stroganoff. Quite bland. Other than that, all was great, just wish they'd step up their stroganoff recipe. The beef in it was fantastic, but other than that, awful.
Food was great. Service was great and nice ambiance.
Truly outstanding service and great food. Lovely mahogany décor and professional servers made for the feel of a special yet comfortable night out. The shared appetizer and both entrees ordered were delicious. We will be coming back.
I do love this restaurant however was a little disappointed with the chicken carbonara. It was very bland. Was hoping it had more spices like garlic...Chicken parmesan was really good though. Very tasty. Other than that everything else at this restaurant was spectacular...

While the look of the restaurant was beautiful and our waiter was friendly, it was slooooow getting our order. While I understand we went Valentines weekend, we had a late 8:30 reservation and it cleared out quite a bit by then. The food was mediocre and half our appetizers came out AFTER our main entree was served. At that point I would have rather gone without it and paying for it. I think I would give it one more shot.
I am in love with this restaurant! Everything about this establishment from the moment I walked in the doors. Being treated with a smile, respect, friendliness. I really have a hard time today with how I am treated in restaurants, everyone is so pleasant and actually caring! The food is outstanding, I ate here twice this week. The drive was closer than driving to the city and quite frankly the value and quality of the food was superior to many restaurants we visit often.

The food was fantastic but service wasn’t that great. We started out with tickets to see a jazz band in the Parlor which is their downstairs lounge. When we got downstairs they had no idea where they were going to sit a table of 3. They moved us 3 different times but ticket and group sizes were pre-paid so planning could’ve been coordinated.
Once sat we had decided on drinks and the lounge waitress came our direction 3 different times but never came to our table. One of our group went to the bar to ask if she could have the waitress come to our table and the waitress was very rude and told her she could wait.
About 30 minutes later a different waitress came over and took our order. After that we enjoyed the band and eventually went upstairs for our dinner reservation.
Dinner was great! The atmosphere was nice and our server took great care of us! Except for the Parlor I would definitely recommend Primo for dinner!
We enjoy this restaurant overall. The food is good, wait staff is always very pleasant and knowledgeable. The only gripe is it seems they aren’t quite prepared to handle the influx of diners on peak days I.e. Valentine’s Day. We had a 6:30 reservation, arrived 10 minutes early and didn’t get told a table was ready until 7, even after we went back to the hostess stand we waited over 5 minutes for them to actually find a table that was ready. This was the experience for everyone with reservations around that time. Other than that, the meal and evening were nice.
Little bit of a long wait even though I had reservations and seeing when we sat down there were quite a few empty tables.
Food was excellent!! Service was excellent!
Would have like different music playing for the atmosphere. All in all would definitely recommend and go again.

Food was great! Loved the desserts too! Was there for my son’s graduation from Navy boot camp. His first restaurant food in two months.
Went there as an early valentines dinner since me and my girlfriend work on valentines and it was a great experience. Chocolate martini was excellent! We were so full we barely finished the side of king crab we ordered. Waiter was very friendly but would have been nice to know his name but that just me being picky. Overall highly recommend this place and will surely be back!
First time at Primo - VERY impressed with food quality, service and staff friendliness. Can’t wait to try it again!
First time visit and well worth the experience. Octopus Appetizer was outstanding, KC Cut cooked to perfection and the Chilean Sea Bass was awesome. Definitely add to list for future visits.
We were seated at a very tiny loud table next to the bar. Other than that everything was great.

Nice place for dinner. Menu is very large and satisfying for almost anything you might have a taste for - first hand can say the scallops and filet trio very wonderful!
Beef Wellington was excellent. Service was our excellent. Busier and Noisier than normal. People came for dinner,stayed for music in the parlor.
Always have a great meal here! Owner always stops by the table to ask how everything is!
I initially came to see my friend’s band playing there. I know this was an upscale restaurant. My friends and I ordered appetizers, entrees and desserts. All of them came out in a timely manner and all of it was delicious (except the white chocolate raspberry ombré cake that tasted like day old stale cake). The sever was attentive and polite. The atmosphere was relaxed and fun, and the decor was fabulous!
We chose Primo's to celebrate a family birthday gathering and the evening was perfect!! Primo's honored our table request (through Open Table), the food quality was excellent, and server Marco provided exceptional service. We will continue to come to Primo's for special occassions and everyday special dinners.
Menu selection is incredible, food quality was incredible. Danielle our server was amazing! As always Primo is high quality dining !!!
