1665 and The Orangery, The Mitre Hotel

Unfortunately we had to leave early because of an emergency at home but the staff were very helpful and attractively boxed our meals

AMAZING as always. The food is incredible, the staff are super lovely. The Mitre is perfect in every way.

The Mitre has been given new life and is a wonderful place to visit. The ambiance and decor are beautiful. The food was presented well but, on this occasion was a little disappointing. But with a new lockdown looming that evening I think the kitchen can be excused.

I’m so pleased that someone has finally done something wonderful with this location. The food was delicious with lots of choice, service was wonderful despite Covid and I can wait to make this our go to place in the future.

Meal got better as we went on. Drinks were very slow to arrive which meant we were half way through the nibbles we ordered before they arrived. Nibbles were average but the mains were excellent and the desert was perfect.

Great experience. Felt very safe re Covid. Only request would be more vegan options on the weekend menu. But apart from that- faultless. Such a lovely meal

Sunday roast was perfect. Best I’ve had and great value for money. Lovely atmosphere, friendly, attentive staff. Great interior, styling and lighting. Will definitely be going back.

Overall a little disappointing and a bit average - booked this for a special birthday lunch for my Mum. Had to sit outside due to mixed household, sadly the view obscured by tent sides, chairs were uncomfortable, service was shall we say ‘relaxed,’ my fish cake was definitely ‘caramelised,’ dinnerware very chintz - overall not the modern stylish hotel that is represented on Instagram. Would give the benefit of the doubt, looked nicer inside and I’m sure the terrace would be nice in the summer.

Patchy service seemed that outside terrace was the focus . Great starter and dessert , cold sauce with steak . Overall restaurant was cold , appreciate that with covid need to have ventilation but feel as if could be warmer .

Went to Coppernose in the Summer and it was great , hope this was a blip but needs to do better.

First time at this exciting new hotel - very impressed; brilliant staff and service, the food was delicious and the setting is stunning. Can’t wait to return!

The food was lovely, the service was excellent however the Organgery was chilly even with several heaters going. I hadn't realised we'd be sitting in there. I thought we'd be sat in the main 1665 part of the restaurant. Disappointed.

This is a brilliant spot, right on the river by Hampton Court bridge. It claimed to be a heated outdoor terrace and was indeed exactly that. It was a cold day but we all stayed warm. Perfect. The food was very good and didn't go cold quickly despite the temperature, and the service was good and regular without ever overdoing it. It's a bit pricey I guess but you pay for what you get and what we got was very good.

The Mitre makeover is super-stylish, achieving that sought after combination of traditional and contemporary. Always something interesting and colourful to catch the eye. Lovely ambience, friendly service and the food was delicious. The dinner, B&B package was good value so we were comfortable spending on cocktails and wine. Can’t wait to return with friends for champagne afternoon tea

Great addition to local dining options; central London feel - decor & dining - yet also in beautiful setting opposite the Palace and alongside the river.

What a wonderful evening we had at 1665! We sat outside in a lovely heated terrace and had dinner. The service and food were lovely, and it is a great place to celebrate a special occasion (as we were celebrating my Mum's birthday). No problem with gluten-free either.

We had a lovely evening. Very cosy. Little disappointed we didn’t get our first choice of main courses and the potions where a little on the small side.

It was a truly magical afternoon . Setting lovely and food really delicious . Would highly recommend

We had a fabulous evening on Saturday dining outside on the covered terrace. It was toasty warm with patio heaters and blankets. We were also warmed by the amazing kings Ginger mulled cider served in stylish tin mugs. The service is very friendly and attentive and Covid secure. Would definitely recommend

Excellent location, special experience, second day of opening so few minor teething problems on service but staff were really warm and helpful and recovered quickly so not a big deal.. Portions tiny bit on small side....Decor gorgeous.

Carina mentioned that her main course was more like a starter - fish with a lobster sauce. But otherwise, the food and wine was excellent.

The Mitre is an amazing and beautiful place. The food, staff and concept are all wonderful. It is truly a place for everyone! It has everything anyone could want, from an easy-going cafe and wine bar to a sophisticated brasserie; as well as not one but 2 terraces with absolutely stunning views! We left as very happy customers! 10/10, I would definitely recommend!!

Very over priced and I broke one of my teeth on raw sprouts and rock hard crispy bacon. So all in all a very expensive evening and one not to be repeated. Sadly I would not recommend The Mitre to anyone.

Very good experience sitting outside at the Mitre. Far surpassed my expectations and will return.

Lovely atmosphere on the terrace dining with a couple of friends. We were a little concerned that it might be a little chilly dining outside, but the team have organised it perfectly, we had heaters by the table and shelter from the stretch tent. Would highly recommend.

Lovely lunch thank you, however we were seated on the one table that was not close to any heating. Please could this be rectified for my next visit on Wednesday 9th Dec? Look forward to seeing you then.

Great food and service. The outside terrace is beautiful and heated well although being by the Thames my advice is to wrap up well.

Great change to what was a run down hotel and restaurant. Food is good, not exceptional and the staff were friendly, smart and quite efficient.the sommelier knew his stuff and proposed some good wines. A great addition to the Molesey/Hampton Court dining scene

Good food, nice environment, staff attentive without being overbearing. Negatives: no dry or fino sherry available and the muzak - absolutely out of place and unnecessary. Also somewhat on the pricey side but you’re probably paying for locations.

Excellent in every manner. Excellent hygiene too. Amazing smelling hand sanitiser on the tables and regular cleaning in place. This place is a must visit.

Fabulous refurb on this place a complete overhaul of the venue and the menu don’t hesitate to book!

Some staff were really unsure of what they were doing. We were sat waiting for someone to take a drink order for some time. We ordered two martinis and weren’t asked what gin or vodka we would like in them (which is standard). Drinks took ages and by the time they came we had to move to our table. I’m sorry but the food was not great at all - my lamb tasted like it had been cooked earlier and kept warm, was tough and totally tasteless. Overall it’s such a beautiful venue, really interesting and nicely decorated. I’d recommend it for drinks if the service could improve but unfortunately I won’t be back for food.

The experience of dining and drinking in such a lovely interior and with a fantastic view of the Thames was a privilege. The service was excellent and food of excellent quality. Will be booking again soon.

What a change from its previous incarnation! The social distancing was well done and adhered to the guidelines. The menu is not extensive but the food was very good as was the ambience. The staff were attentive and not overbearing. We will definitely return.
