2941 Restaurant

We loved this restaurant! We'll definitely be back the next time we travel to the area.

I’m very picky in food, but here.....they more than surprised me. Chef is awesome, service makes you feel like a Quine. Highly recommend this place.

2941 is a favorite restaurant of ours!
The staff and ambience are superb.

The service was excellent. The food was delicious. Seating during COVID-19 was arranged very well. I was comfortable eating inside.

I have been coming to '2941' since it first opened, was later married in the garden and we held our wedding dinner here.

It was unfortunately dark early and quite cold the other night, but we still had a most enjoyable time, dining and watching the koi lolling in their spacious pond. The duck breast was excellent as was the special version of filet mignon.

Excellence is still regularly on the menu!

Great experience during COVID times with plenty of distance between tables & excellent food.

The New Year's Eve menu was a fixed price fare. My wife and I chose the four course menu and, in fact, both chose exactly the same four courses. My only very minor quibble with the food was the pasta and seafood dish. It seemed thrown together and lacked a theme to me. Each individual part: pasta, clam, mussel, prawn, etc was good but didn't mesh in my mind. And we could have used a spoon with that dish to get to the broth...
Everything else was delicious and excellent and in just the right proportions....
The staff is top notch as always.
We've been there many times and will be coming back....

Went for New Year’s Eve dinner and was very happy with the covid protocols. Plenty of space btw tables, all staff in masks, silverware in bags, and the ceilings are so high.

The food was great- large portion sizes for a 4 course menu. We pretty much got all the options between me and my husband. The first course dishes were my favorite.

Again we had an amazing experience at 2941 for our anniversary. The food is outstanding and service is top notch!

Excellent chefs tasting menu and pairing. If you’re a Tempranillo fan, the glass on the wine menu is worth an additional try.

Everything was incredible. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted by someone to check you in. There was plenty of space and more than enough attention from the from the staff to make sure our drinks were full and the food was at our table. I really appreciated the waiter staff knowing everything about the whole menu. The food was amazing and this felt like a Michelin star level restaurant. I’ll definitely be coming back and recommend this to anyone looking for a beautiful place to eat with amazing food.

Anniversary dinner with my wife, we both had the Chef's tasting menu, which was apparently a very popular choice that night. Service was impeccable, food was outstanding. Two minor issues - black truffle on the beet carpaccio was flavorless (?!), and one of the lamb chops arrived undercooked, but that was taken care of immediately. Otherwise a very memorable meal.

Exceptional cuisine, service, AND COVID precautions. Chef Chemel and team provide a memorable experience. Hours later, we're still talking about it.

The Christmas Eve dinner was excellent, that includes food and service, the place was open and thoughtfully decorated to make one feel special.

Food was very disappointing. they offered a rack of lamb, it took an hour to arrive only to be a tiny piece leas than an ounce. The dessert was hard and dry with no moisture. Overly priced for the quality and quantity you get.

We scheduled Christmas Eve dinner at the last minute & it was the most perfectly elegant and socially-distanced meal. We opted to try the 4-course chef’s tasting menu with the generously portioned wine pairing & it was a fantabulous gastronomic experience. I loved every course starting with the scallop ceviche, roasted Turbot, organic filet mignon, and finishing off with Mont-Blanc for dessert. It was quite the splurge but this Yuletide meal was expertly crafted, certainly memorable, & extra-special.

2941 has to be one of if not the best restaurants in the DC area. Beautiful setting, terrific food, perfect service. What's not to like.

Food there is always outstanding and matched by the service. The ambience reminds me of the old four seasons restaurant in NYC.

2941 continues to deliver Michelin-caliber service and food quality. We thought the tasting menu was innovative and delicious. This truffle-lover was particularly excited by their black truffle risotto as well as a refreshing and interesting beet "carpaccio". Our server was phenomenal as were all the dinner attendants, and we felt extremely safe with the COVID measures implemented. We were at least 30 feet from any other diners and napkins were disposable, along with sealed packs of silverware for sterility. Outstanding experience!

Noice level high and people were eating diner wearing their baseball caps. Not what I want when I’m paying 150$ a person

Had the Chefs Tasting menu. We tried every item except for the boar. Only 2-3 meals out of 9 were standouts, everything else was just okay and leaning heavily on salt. For the price I was expecting the ideas, flavors, and textures to come together better and have more balance.

5-course meal was extremely salty from the beginning to the end.

My wife, daughter and I went to celebrate. We went on a Friday night at 7:15 pm. The main room was a little busy, so they put us in one of their event rooms beside the bar, and even though it was set up with 9 tables, we were the only ones there.

My wife and daughter had the chef's tasting menu, and they thought the food and wine pairing was fun.

I had the chestnut soup to start, the tuna tartare, the lobster thermidor in an appetizer size and the banana souffle. It was all excellent, and I was stuffed by the end.

The service is very, very good and all the staff are friendly. The manager stopped by to say hello and tell us about the artwork.

Amazing everytine

The wait staff is inexperienced and they interrupt constantly to take plates away ALL THE TIME! ect. That really was the worst part of going there they are untrained

Excellent and safe environment.

The food was simply outstanding - - high compliments to the chef! We enjoyed the best fillet mignon and scallops ever tasted by both of us. The relaxed ambiance and delicious food was much appreciated, especially against the background of our lockdown present time. THANK YOU from two very grateful clients.

Food was great as always! Such a great service from the servers they were attentive and knowledgeable about the recommendations they made, they even apologized for the 20% service charged that was added to our check “for the holidays”. Our only concern/disappointment was that such a high end restaurant can’t afford to provide the costumers cloth napkins. I understand that everything has changed with COVID-19 and it is for the safety of everyone but one paper napkin? I can’t even write more about this...

We've been coming to 2941 since 2004. Initially it was a truly special event restuarant that we saved up to go to once or twice a year. It's gone down hill since then - the Thanksgiving meal was really mediocre. I hope the standards raise again and we're able to keep going back and enjoying what was a very special place for us.

Wonderful way to spend our thanksgiving. Everything was top notch. The only thing we noticed that could be addressed in the future was the carpeting seemed a bit tired. Thank you for a magical evening!
