Understanding the challenges that surround dinner service and the keeping to the COVID guidelines, 30 Boltwood did an amazing job with their meal, cleanliness, and service.

Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Food is very good - best New England Clam Chowder I've had anywhere. Outside dining area is great when open, plus has the outside fire pit.

Excellent food

Our server was wonderful and made the experience wonderful even with the enhanced covid regulations. We felt very safe snd that all precautions were taken. Cocktails were fabulous and our meal was very good, making for a nice birthday dinner.

The Holiday Tea was elegant. The roaring historical fireplace gave great ambience. Due to Covid-19 some minor changes were required however the staff was able to provide a formal tea safely. The live harpist was cancelled but soft holiday music played in the background. Each setting ( ours was on a sofa with a coffee table in front of us) others were chairs and tea table had our own server. Good value for an experience.

Very impressed with the COVID-19 protocols and felt comfortable there. Our server Cameron was outstanding!

We had a lovely time at the Boltwood. Everything felt perfectly safe and the wait staff was very kind. We wore out masks at all times, except for when putting food in out mouths. Delicious cocktails, perfectly cooked burgers, crisp and seasoned fries.

This is one of the few places open for lunch in Amherst, and they now have bar seating, almost making it feel like some normalcy has returned to restaurant life.
This place was great, taking every precaution to make sure people are social distancing, and that their sanitation level is being maintained. All the utensils come delivered in a plastic pouch that has been sealed, so that only the you can touch them.
I felt very safe eating inside, at this establishment, and would return again.
Food, service and hospitality were excellent.

A lovely spot for outdoor dining, but because I often lunch there, I wish the menu changed more often and was more adventurous.

Lovely meal and lovelier service!

Beautiful location and ambiance. We sat on the terrace near the fireplace. Our server Joe was very friendly, had excellent knowledge of and suggestions for the menu, and was perfectly attentive. Food, wine, drink, and dessert choices all looked delicious. I had beet salad with salmon, fantastic. Will be back.

Wonderful experience - even in the middle of the pandemic! My family felt very safe & comfortable. Waiter wore mask/gloves, utensils were plastic wrapped/sealed, & meals served on plates covered with stainless steel covers.
The food was fresh, hot & yummy. The staff was very attentive! Great all around experience. We will be back!

When I made the reservation on OpenTable, there was nothing that specified inside or outside. Due to that fact, I assumed the table would be inside. When we arrived, we were told that our table was reserved for outside dining. We were not dressed appropriately for outside dining, but tried to deal with the cold temps for a little bit. My husband and I were both too cold so we asked to be moved inside. The hostess checked and we were able to go inside.
I made a note on the OpenTable reservation that it was our wedding anniversary, but that wasn't acknowledged during our dining experience.
My husband had the pork chop dinner, which he enjoyed. I had the beet salad with grilled chicken. The chicken was very very dry.
Our server, Cameron, was absolutely fantastic. He was very attentive.

Awesome spot on the roof with my honey for her birthday dinner. Right in front of the fireplace! Servers provided just enough attn w/o lingering too much. Food was very tasty.

Though it did get a little chilly, we ate outside in front of the fireplace. It was lovely, but it would have been nice to get a heads up, as we might have dressed more appropriately.

Reduced menu, but varied. They don't mind minor substitutions, when possible. Wait staff friendly, well aware of the covid situation. Food excellent. We eat there often.

Food and service was great but the ambiance - due largely to Covid doesn’t line up. Years ago I had a meal in an upscale restaurant after hours with only one other table and skeleton crew in a fairly sizable place. Food and staff were great but the atmosphere was dominated by swinging doors and distant kitchen noise. This was like that experience only the restaurant wasn’t closed, it was just void of atmosphere inside. While Covid is to blame I note other restaurants in the area that manage to pull off liveliness, despite the reduced crowd, so there is the feeling of “getting out”. They seem ideally distanced already given set up! More specifically the dozen(?) sizable chairs upside down on bar during open hours (put them elsewhere or at the bar with discreet note that bar seating is not available), seat the tables so guests aren’t facing the doors or right next to them- or better yet remove tables close to high traffic altogether. Music, either live or piped in would reduce the din of restaurant noise and make for a more relaxed dining experience. The food is wonderful however and the service is great -we’ll be back I’m sure, but we’ll hope for an uptick in atmosphere next time.

The lobster mac and cheese was one of the best I have had! Very filling though, as usual.

Great food, staff is always on point. The atmosphere is modern chic. The outdoor setting is my favorite part of the restaurant.

Over all the dining experience is just ok. The setting is lovely if a bit dated inside. The food is first rate bar food but the service is not great. It took over an hour for a burger and mac’n cheese- very good but someone was in the weeds! The drinks were very good but again not enough servers. No bus staff so waiters and bar staff had to do it all. Hosts fluttered around more interested in their IPads than guests - not great. In summary- great bar food if you have lots of time and wish to be left alone.

Great night and venue for outside dining. Food was good and service was perfect.

The staff very very welcoming and friendly. Service was great. The steak was cooked to perfection. I am still thinking of the matcha green tea panna cotta with plum and ginger flavor. Amazing flavors.

Fantastic! The food was delicious and the service was lovely. They seem to be taking Covid very seriously and felt so safe dining there. I went with my partner for her birthday and they made a gorgeous birthday dessert board. Could not be more pleased!

Found glass in my food. Cut my mouth and all they gave me was a bottle of wine.

Perfect location for outdoor dining on a pleasant day. Comfortable and seating arranged for privacy and health & safety. Server, Daniella, was excellent. Drinks were clever and enjoyable. Food was fresh and tasty - we only shared a salad and mac/cheese but it hit the spot. Did not feel rushed - it was a perfect location for a visit with an old friend.
