4 Locos Argentine Steakhouse - Purley

The quality of the food is very good, but after we ordered the Signature dish for 2 which was also the most expensive I might add we asked for an extra pot of chimicuri sauce ( about a tablespoon) as there was only one between 2. We were charged and extra £2 and a gratuity charge of £7.69 12.5% also the waiter was more engrossed in talking with the barman about nothing important, to notice we were leaving untill my wife called across good bye as we opened the door next to the bar visited 15/12/20 £69:19 felt it was a bad experience because of the points stated above.

Since discovering this little gem almost a year ago, this is now a firm favourite.
The staff are so professional and friendly - the chef's cooking is outstanding. We have been known to frequent a couple of times a week!

Really outstanding food, steak better than Buenos Aires which is saying something. We'll be back, kudos to the chef particularly.

We were greeted with a glass of Prosecco, which was a bit of a surprise. The food, as always, was amazingly tasty and the service was spot on! Left very satisfied.

We loved the food, my partner and I barely spoke as we were so engrossed in our sharing platter! Absolutely recommend this restaurant. Service was also great and was recommended a great gin!

One of the few Steak Restaurant who knows how to cook a rare steak

Amazing food, great service and surprisingly cheap! We had their offer for two which included an 8oz sirloin, 8 oz rump, chorizo sausage, skewer of chicken, and a rack of ribs plus fries and salad on the side. Everything tasted amazing and cooked perfectly! The offer was an amazing price for what you get.

Had a great deal on a mixed grill, with everything on it tasting excellent. My only thing was the ribs weren’t to my liking as I don’t like BBQ sauce, so would be good to have an option without the sauce. Renata our server was excellent and they made a nice effort for my early Birthday before lockdown, will definitely visit again!

Really love this restaurant, and managed to get in before the second lock down! We'll be back in December, hope they manage ok through the lockdown!

Good food and service. Would go back again. Will consider a talk away during lockdown. When they reopen I’d recommend they try to social distance more on greeting you at the door.

Great restaurant. The steaks are always fantastic. Sides are good too. Very friendly, welcoming and professional staff - nothing ever seems to go wrong with orders. Great atmosphere. Usually busy and need to book. thoroughly recommended.

Great food and Covid guideline respected - get out and support these local businesses

Went for the Wednesday & Sunday deal (sharing platter) and it was great! Really good value and the meat was cooked to perfection! Waiter was lovely and really helpful

4 Locos have never let us down, their steaks melt in your mouth and all the their food is delicious. Always served with a smile and great banter, they have dobe especially well with Covid protection and we feel totally safe eating out there.

l ordered a fillet of beef and l must say it was one of the best ever had. The staff reflect the South American friendly and welcoming attitude. Lovely experience, l recommend this place to all meat lovers!

Waitress was very friendly and lovely but the evening was marred slightly by the noise level. Every time the table on the other side of the room laughed we couldn't hear what the person next to us was saying!

Honestly one of the best meals had in a long time. So had to go back and try it again, only to have the exact same brilliant experience. Friendly and knowledgeable staff, great wine menu, and the steaks.. absolutely class! And cooked to perfection.

Finally have somewhere to take people out in Purley with confidence. Crazy value with the Eat out to help out scheme, but regardless I’ll be back on a Friday or Saturday night too.

Excellent quality steak and delicious side dishes.

Despite covid regulations this restaurant was able to maintain a great atmosphere and excellent service. The food was out of this world and as for the service, we would not have known there was a curfew of before 10pm. They managed to move things along smoothly without putting us under pressure to rush. I would highly recommend this restaurant from all areas; food, service, atmosphere etc.

The steak and ribs were cooked to perfection and tasted amazing. Only downside didn’t have a lot of the starters.
