5 Acres is a vibrant American restaurant in the heart of Rockefeller Center, featuring a seasonally driven, Midwestern-inspired menu from chef Greg Baxtrom.

The menu offers an approachable, chef-driven take on American favorites—from Chicago-inspired classics to fresh seasonal dishes—alongside a lively cocktail program.

Located at 30 Rockefeller Center, 5 Acres is an ideal destination for dinner in Rockefeller Center, after-work drinks, lunch, and group dining, whether you're planning an evening out or stopping in during the day. The space combines an energetic bar with an oasis-like dining room filled with greenery, creating a setting that’s both lively and inviting.

    This was one of the worst restaurant meals I’ve had in a very long time. Chicken schnitzel it was called. I thought, how bad could a chicken cutlet be? How wrong I was. It was floating in a sea of white glop surrounded by an unidentified green border then topped with micro greens and some vegetables on another gloppy sauce reminiscent of Russian dressing. Barely edible. Sound level was so bad I couldn’t hear the person next to me. Service was good. Needless to say I won’t be back.

    I guess I was expecting a little bit more from a place located in Rockefeller Center. The menu was eclectic however I was not too pleased with the taste of the side dishes that I ordered. The crispy brussels sprouts were not crispy and the corn on the cob came out with way too much seasoning and cold. The homemade potato chips were great, but the onion dip had very little taste to it.  Since there were eight of us, the gratuity was already placed upon the check. The waiter commented to us that we could add more to it if we want to. The tip that was placed on the bill was already 20%. Maybe that is something that they should speak to the staff about and maybe to discuss what the acronym TIPS actually means.

    Great first visit - great Menu choices -ideal location for Radio City pre-event meal. My salmon entree was superb with amazing compliment. Surprisingly not crowded.

    We were seated promptly. The staff was attentive and the server extremely helpful with ordering. The meal was tasty and reasonably priced.

    The servers were friendly. The food was delicious. The french fries were absolutely fantastic. I would definitely bring friends there when they come to town. Below Rockefeller Plaza you would never believe there was so much activity around the skating rink outside. The ambience was quiet and great.
